Obama’s $38.6 Billion “Green-Tech” Program That Backed Solyndra Creates Only 3,545 Jobs In Two Years…
And people out there wonder why this country is going broke.
(WaPo) — A $38.6 billion loan guarantee program that the Obama administration promised would create or save 65,000 jobs has created just a few thousand jobs two years after it began, government records show.
The program — designed to jump-start the nation’s clean technology industry by giving energy companies access to low-cost, government-backed loans — has directly created 3,545 new, permanent jobs after giving out almost half the allocated amount, according to Energy Department tallies.
President Obama has made “green jobs” a showcase of his recovery plan, vowing to foster new jobs, new technologies and more competitive American industries. But the loan guarantee program came under scrutiny Wednesday from Republicans and Democrats at a House oversight committee hearing about the collapse of Solyndra, a solar-panel maker whose closure could leave taxpayers on the hook for as much as $527 million.
The GOP lawmakers accused the administration of rushing approval of a guarantee of the firm’s project and failing to adequately vet it. “My goodness. We should be reviewing every one of these loan guarantee” projects, said Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.).

After “giving out almost half” of $38,600,000,000 of our money, Obama has created 3,454 jobs. Even though I attended a public school, I figure that means Obama is spending over 5 and 1/2 million tax dollars per job.
If I only knew someone that could’ve paved the way for me to attend Harvard, I could have learned how this is good for America. However, I did not. So I just don’t get it. Hopefully Krugman can explain how this is good for us.
If my math is right, that’s 10.3 MILLION dollars per job, plus of course the costs to the taxpayers of administrating the Green Jobs Programs, which I guess are permanent, government jobs, conplete with insurance and pensions.
Amazing… I want the taxes my husband and I paid in 2010 and 2011 back.
Particularly after seeing that article on Obama’s taxpayer money ‘gift’ to the Goracle’s electric car company.

Wow, $10.88 million per job. I am in the process of building a home with solar, battery bank and inverter (I already have a remote cabin like this). The cost of doing this on a scale for a 1200 sq ft home is about $25,000. For that kind of money we can make about 1.5 million homes solar with current technology using off the shelf equipment. So when you have a bunch of lawyers running the country that do not know anything beyond taking peoples money this is what we end up with.

This is just so sickening. No reason to think business decisions through carefully when you’re spending wads of SOMEONE ELSE’S MONEY.
Something must be really fundamentally wrong with human beings. Some internal un-probed fault that makes success and prosperity trigger deeper feelings of guilt and worthless in roughly fifty percent of a population. Perhaps there is a “Failure” gene yet undiscovered.
Perhaps they drive around in a shiny new car for looking at beautiful houses with pretty laws and healthy, fed children and something in them just snaps. They begin to ask themselves – “Wouldn’t if be nice if we could somehow make all these people lose their wealth, begin to worship and evil pedophile, and bash their foreheads against the ground several times a day.”
How else to explain the sick phenomenon we are witnessing.
If you gave 1 million dollars free to 38,600 unemployed business people, THAT would have at least created 38,600 jobs in which those people could have invested in their own small businesses that would have created even more jobs. obama is nothing but an islamo terrorist. Blows the hell out of the USURPER’S 3,545 new, permanent jobs!
