Report: Obama’s Job-Approval Rating Below 50% in 9 States He Flipped From Red to Blue in ’08
Equaling 112 electoral votes in 2012.
(The Washington Times) — Dismal new poll numbers for President Obama in Virginia and North Carolina underscore a growing danger to his 2012 re-election hopes — his job-approval ratings have dropped below 50 percent in all of the key states that he “flipped” from the Republicans in 2008.
Mr. Obama was able to win three years ago mainly because he captured nine states that had gone for Republican George W. Bush in 2004: Florida, Ohio, North Carolina, Virginia, Indiana, Colorado, Iowa, New Mexico and Nevada. Combined, those states will account for 112 electoral votes in 2012.
But with just over a year until the next election, Mr. Obama’s rating has fallen below 50 percent in every one of those states — always a warning sign for an incumbent. In only one state, Iowa, is his approval rating, 48 percent, higher than his disapproval rating, 45 percent.
“The country’s off on the wrong track, and you pay a price for that when you’re in charge,” said Glen Bolger, a partner at the Republican polling firm Public Opinion Strategies in Alexandria. “It’s all about the economy. He’s not getting the job done in the eyes of the voters.”
In Florida, where Mr. Obama took 50.9 percent of the vote in 2008, only 41 percent of those polled in a recent survey approve of the job Mr. Obama is doing; 56 percent disapprove. In Virginia, a breakthrough state for the president in 2008 when he took 52.7 percent of the vote, only 40 percent of voters now approve of him, 54 percent disapprove, and he’s trailing former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney by 2 percentage points.
The website Real Clear Politics rates only one of the nine states, New Mexico, as still leaning toward Mr. Obama, with Iowa rated as a tossup. All the others are listed in the Republican camp.
Presidential spokesman Jay Carney said Mr. Obama isn’t worried about his re-election prospects.
“The president is focused on the things he needs to do as president — getting the economy going,” Mr. Carney said. “He’s not focused on his political standing or his standing in the polls.”
But since announcing his $447 billion jobs plan on Sept. 8, Mr. Obama has devoted his first three trips outside Washington to three of the “flipped” states: Virginia, North Carolina and Ohio. On Thursday, he will travel to Cincinnati, near the district of House Speaker John A. Boehner, a Republican, to highlight a crumbling bridge over the Ohio River. His jobs bill would provide tens of billions of federal dollars to fund construction projects.
Mr. Obama’s approval ratings have been hurt by sluggish growth and an unemployment rate that has remained above 9 percent nationally this year. In response, the president proposed a stimulus plan this month that is running into opposition from both parties on Capitol Hill.
The approval trends in these key states are growing worse for Mr. Obama as the weak economy persists. In Virginia, a Quinnipiac University poll released Thursday said 40 percent of voters approve of the job Mr. Obama is doing, down from 48 percent in June.
In North Carolina, the site of next year’s Democratic National Convention, 43 percent of voters approve of Mr. Obama and 53 percent disapprove. Mr. Obama won the state by 1 percentage point over Sen. John McCain, Arizona Republican, in 2008, the first time a Democrat took the Tarheel State since 1976.
“These are the purplest of the purple — the true battlegrounds for 2012,” Mr. Bolger wrote in a blog post. “One thing is certain — if the Republicans do not win at least seven of these nine states, we do not win back the White House.”
Hispanics are a key voting bloc in many of these swing states. They accounted for 9 percent of the voters in those nine states in 2008, and they favored Mr. Obama by 26 points, 62 percent to 36 percent.
In three states — Florida, New Mexico and Nevada — Hispanics were especially crucial to Mr. Obama’s victory. In Nevada, Hispanics favored Mr. Obama by 76 percent to 22 percent.

That’s not surprising. People who voted for him feel that they were victimized. They were lied to.
Freedom of the Press is supposed to play a special role in sustaining a FREE Republic. It serves to keep the politicians relatively honest.

But rest assured, Barack Obama is confident he’s got five-and-a-half more years in the White House.
“Here’s one thing I know for certain,” Obama told Democratic donors last night in Washington. “The odds of me being re-elected are much higher than the odds of me being elected in the first place.”
The president then told the crowd about one supporter’s wish for him: “That my next inauguration is warmer than the last one.”
Obama prefaced those comments by saying, “I know that, over the last couple of months, there have been Democrats who voiced concerns and nervousness about, well, in this kind of economy … aren’t these just huge headwinds in terms of your re-election?”
But he expressed hope that voters will see progress by the time the election rolls around a year from November.
“We remain very confident about our ability to win a contest of ideas in 2012,” Obama said. ” As long as we can get the message out.”

Everyday, new polls are showing how vulnerable he is. Once the polls show that his defeat is definite, the DemonRats will drop him like a hot rock. The talk of Hillary, the calls by some for a primary challenge are just the tip of the iceberg.
Once the Dems see that not only are they going to lose the Presidency, but also see a coattail loss of the Senate, they will turn on him.
How has redistricting congressional areas in these states improved the odds for Republicans? I think the R’s won so much in 2010 that they were able to carve up their districts in their favor for 2012. To the victor goes the spoils.

Consider the fear that the Dems and the Liberal Media have of a Republican Congress with a Republican President. Even if the Senate is not past the 60 vote margin, they know that their agenda of the past 6 years will all be overturned.
Obamacare will be repealed, Dodd / Frank will be repealed. The EPA, and even possibly the Dept of Energy and Education will be terminated.
The fear of that possibility will (already has) doomed Obama.
The scandals that are now surfacing will seal his fate. Once you see Democrat calling for an investigation, he is toast.
On the other hand, if they nominate HRC, they actually stand a chance of victory. They already know this.

Every State where Obama has 50% favorable ratings are LOST. THERE IS NO HOPE!!!! , for those states. We need to salvage what we can of America. The nation should seperate and become the Liberal States of America and the Conservative States of America. New nations need to be formed. In exchange for a bloodless seperation we conservatives should agree to feeding the liberals for 20 years. ..Two new nations, The GOD fearing Americans and the GODless Americans. The GODless have turned the nation into a cesspool of corruption. May GOD have mercy on the United States of America. It is past time to start organizing. I have lost almost all hope for saving the United States of America. Men of honor need to start organizing.

Even Republicans Rejected Info About Obama’s Past

What would you do if you knew that the top Democrat running for president was lying about his past?
That is the question I was faced with in 2008. I had met the young Barack Obama while he was a sophomore at Occidental College, and I knew that his commitment to socialism was deep, genuine, and longstanding. See my earlier article on American Thinker.
I had been a leader of the Marxist students at Occidental College myself, starting in 1976 when I founded the precursor of the Democrat Socialist Alliance on campus. The young Obama I knew was a Marxist socialist who would have been quite comfortable with Communist party members like his Hawaii mentor Frank Marshall Davis, retired domestic terrorists like Bill Ayers, or active socialist politicians like Illinois State Senator Alice Palmer.

I was shocked that my attempts to spread the news about young Obama’s Marxism failed to gain any media traction with reporters, activists, or campaign staffs during the 2008 presidential campaign.
Once I saw the significance of my face-to-face observations on the young Obama, I went out of my way to get my story on record with the Orange County Register. I tried to contact, among others, Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, the folks behind the Swiftboat ads, and the McCain campaign.

Or you could be right. Perhaps they are going to tell Barry that HE needs to call it quits. Not run for a second term. This would give them the go on dusting off Hilliary and presenting her front and center stage.
And with what could they threaten Barry to make him step aside? Probably a million things that we know nothing about, or some that we do. That video tape deep in the vaults of the L.A. Times could suddenly make an appearance. Or Bill Ayers could step forward and prove he wrote both of Obama’s books. Or Obama’s grades and birth information could suddenly be found.
