Perry To Hold Press Conference This Week With Israeli MK Danny Danon Ahead Of UN Statehood Vote, May Endorse His Plan To Annex West Bank…

Whatever one thinks of Perry, his pro-Israel credentials are rock solid.

(JPost) — Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry will hold a press conference with American and Israeli-Jewish leaders in New York on Tuesday in which he is expected to address the upcoming deliberations at the United Nations, MK Danny Danon (Likud), said on Saturday night.

Danon, who will participate at the press conference, said he would ask Perry ahead of the conference to adopt the initiative the MK is advancing to annex Judea and Samaria in response to the unilateral Palestinian moves at the UN.

On Friday, Perry accused US President Barack Obama of distancing himself from Israel and blamed US foreign policy “errors” for the Palestinian push for statehood at the United Nations.

Seeking to capitalize on this week’s Republican election victory in a heavily Jewish New York congressional district, Perry said Palestinian leaders believe US-Israeli relations have weakened and said “the ultimate Palestinian solution” remains the destruction of the Jewish state.

“Errors by the Obama administration have encouraged the Palestinians,” the Texas governor wrote in a Wall Street Journal column.

“It was a mistake to agree to the Palestinians’ demand for indirect negotiations conducted through the US, and it was an even greater mistake for President Obama to distance himself from Israel and seek engagement with the hostile regimes in Syria and Iran,” he wrote.

Very disppointing with Romney, Bachmann, and Palin because they are making a negative attack against Perry. It is wrong. They do have poor campaign and don’t have a very good advisers. annexing the west bank is good counter move, however it comes with it’s own perils, mainly, what do you do with the several million arabs currently residing in that area, perhaps israel should fully annex area a and b in judea and samaria, those are mainly uninhabited, area c is the one where most of the arabs reside.

This all should be looked upon with the prism of war, the hordes are organizing and getting ready to march, it’s not a question of how, but when, turkey is threatening open war as we speak, and looking to lead a alliance of crazed egyptians/ syrians/lebanese, and even perhaps iranians. Although the last one is questionable considering the long rivalry between the sunni ottomans and the safavid mullahs. Perilous times we live in…

‘Perry, who has been Governor of Texas for 10 years, has more high-level governmental executive experience than anyone in the nation who hasn’t already served as President. In fact, he has more executive experience than Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid, combined.

It should be noted that while Texas has been leading the country in job growth and other economic areas, Perry doesn’t deserve all of the credit for this record, but he does deserve a good share of it. That is because during his tenure the often divided Texas government, in which 29 major offices are elected statewide, has functioned (mostly) as a unified team with Perry providing leadership. This team has kept Texas’ tax burden low despite hard times, and has kept Texas’ government among the smallest in the nation.

That said, Texas’ achievements of the past ten years occurred on Perry’s watch – with him at the helm. He deserves at least as much credit for the state’s conditions while he’s been Governor as Obama gets for “killing Bin Laden.”

And finally, it would be wise to remember that Rick Perry is, in the end, a politician. Granted, he is more conservative than most and has an enviable story to tell, but he is still a politician and must be encouraged to follow the wishes of his constituents – by pressure from the people. He has shown that he does listen when the people speak. Two of his major “stumbles” (Gardasil and the Trans Texas Corridor) received pushback from the populace and he backed off. And remember this, that any politician in office for ten years will have his/her critics and will have stepped on some toes during that time.’…

What was the vote in Texas each time Perry ran for election? Seems like he has major wins each time which would indicate that he has a lot of support.

Ron Paul is a nothing candidate and his stances on several issues in the debate made him look like a LOON.

Sarah Palin needs to show she has more experience. Like her, but we cannot afford someone with so little experience again. Same with Bachman.

Would never support Romney after his RomneyCare or his flip flop on abortion.

Sad to say, Marco Rubio, like Bobby Jindal is not a natural born citizen. If either were to run for president, unlike Obama, this issue will come up and under our constitution neither is eligible. I think Rubio is what this country is all about.

All that said. I see none of the presidential candidates at this time inspiring. I would choose Perry over any of them at the moment. I can’t stand Bachmann, there is something about of not quite right, and I can’t get passed the billion in earmarks with her tea party caucus. Shame on her, I didn’t like her before the earmarks, that just confirmed my suspicions and dislike for her. Besides she part of the Washington problem.

I will not be quick to cling to anyone right now. I’ll continue to pay attention to what they say and do. Find out all I can, and hope more candidates emerge. As for Cain (not real bright on numerous issues) Paul (fruitcake), Gingrich (has been), Romney (refuses to admit failure, flip flops), Huntsman (pretending to republican/conservative), Bachmann (dingy, not quite right), Perry (no conclusion yet) Santorum (not given much thought).

If anyone here truly thinks Perry is a conservative, I have a bridge to sell them.
His record has proven time and again that he’s anything but. In fact, I could say the same for most of the candidates. Keep denying reality though, as Americans typically like to do.

The question is not whether a US POTUS will recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital – Israel has lived survived quite well with all the embassy’s in Tel Aviv, but will the US stand by Israel in a crisis. Neither Palin, Bachmann, Santorum, Romney, Cain, Gingrich or Perry will relocate the embassy to Jerusalem. The priority is -will the US let the world know that in a crunch we will be with Israel. That is all I care about. Symbolism is nice but doing something when the shit hits the fan is far more important. How about telling Erdogan that if he does not back down we will work to expel Turkey from NATO?How about telling the Egyptians if they renounce the Camp David treaty we not only cut off all aid but if they attack Israel we will fight along side Israel?

That by the way is not a straw man argument – that’s a convenient way of dismissing points that someone is making though.
Do you pose that question to all the candidates or just to Perry?
Since George W. Bush did not move the capital to Jerusalem do you regret voting for him?
If you have problems with Perry winning the Defender of Jerusalem Award take it up with Netanyahu or the mayor of Jerusalem. By the way Romney is my first choice (based on being more electable) and Perry is my second.

No president has truly been 100% behind Israel. Bush gave gaza to the Arabs unconditionally. But we have to keep trying to elect a POTUS that will stand with Israel.

Traitor Sharon gave Gaza, Bush had nothing to do with it.

Bush meagerly made it Hamas-land by pressing to include Hamas in the PA elections.

Reagan was not pro-Israeli, he was 100% pro-Arab because he was influenced by the antisemite Henry Kissinger. Although after Carter he looked like a huge improvement in that area.

US treats (East AND West) Jerusalem as de-facto Palestinian capital since Reagan, which means Clinton and Bush are worse than Obama, who wanted a full ’67 border withdrawal, while the veto of the embassy act means the vetoers want a ’47 border (UN partition plan).

Any one is better than Obama w/ respect to Israel. But, Perry’s Islamist sympathies offset his support for our ally Israel. He added Islamic studies to the public school curriculum & is buds w/ Repub insider Norquist, another Muslim/CAIR supporter. Perry needs a lot more vetting.(Perry just drop 13% in latest CBS.NYTimes poll…is he electable?)

The only true leadership defending Israel that we have seen since 2008.

With the exception of Sarah Palin who was way ahead of him and…though he’s not a political leader Glen Beck.

How about a candidate who stands up and supports our OWN COUNTRY? Seems like we’ve had a bunch of Globalist/Elitist puppets in for some time now. CROOKS

How about someone short on rhetoric, and long on principle, not switching their jargon depending on whom they’re talking to for political gain.

I’m tired of seeing an America falling for the “Rah-Rah-Vote-For-Me” deception every four years. Dig deep and quit labeling intelligent people who ask the tough questions and demand accountability of their candidates. This ain’t no football game, and your candidate is not a hero.

How gullible most of you are. Dumbasses deserve what you vote for, suckers, but the rest of us get stuck with a majority of idiot’s choices every 4 years due to the “rah-rah complex”. The real @ssholes running this country laugh their heads off all the way to the bank while you and I get SCREWED. Don’t be distracted by Da Joos, etc, focus on saving your own country- it’s currently on LIFE SUPPORT !

You got your Geller/Spencer talking points down pat. Go and get your reward from pammycakes. Perry’s Islamist sympathies – yeah right.

It would help if people determined the most important issues before disassembling a candidate.
Israel is an important issue but not in the top 5.
    American priorities must come first.
    Something along the lines of:
    jobs
    budget
    illegal immigrants
    taxes
    Government size
    SS
    crime
    welfare
    Islamification
    Israel
Most of these issues interconnect ,a good candidate will be able to define the problem, outline choices for a solution and link that to the next issue.ie unemployment –> job openings–> illegals filling jobs—->welfare abuse—>disability by illegals—> % of radical Islam illegals—>deportations—->new job openings—->decrease in welfare and disability costs–>increased safety—>drop in social medical costs–>increase in med testing, care ,employees—>reduction social program employees—-> +budget—->reduce foreign aid–>increase Israel aid—> Israel med teaching–>improved health care etc.

Perry allowed Islamic religious teachings in public schools.A HUGE NONO.
His illegal immigrant dealings aren’t great.
His support of Israel is good.
The rest is total rhetoric .Blahblahblah does not balance budgets, create jobs or reduce crime.

Call me crazy, but I simply do not see the advantage of adding yet another “turd world” country to the lineup. Especially one that I know is going to be a begger nation forever.

I like Perry and his strong support of Israel. He is the only true conservative who stands a chance of beating Obama.
