Perry To Hold Press Conference This Week With Israeli MK Danny Danon Ahead Of UN Statehood Vote, May Endorse His Plan To Annex West Bank…

Whatever one thinks of Perry, his pro-Israel credentials are rock solid.
Comments & pings are closed.(JPost) — Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry will hold a press conference with American and Israeli-Jewish leaders in New York on Tuesday in which he is expected to address the upcoming deliberations at the United Nations, MK Danny Danon (Likud), said on Saturday night.
Danon, who will participate at the press conference, said he would ask Perry ahead of the conference to adopt the initiative the MK is advancing to annex Judea and Samaria in response to the unilateral Palestinian moves at the UN.
On Friday, Perry accused US President Barack Obama of distancing himself from Israel and blamed US foreign policy “errors” for the Palestinian push for statehood at the United Nations.
Seeking to capitalize on this week’s Republican election victory in a heavily Jewish New York congressional district, Perry said Palestinian leaders believe US-Israeli relations have weakened and said “the ultimate Palestinian solution” remains the destruction of the Jewish state.
“Errors by the Obama administration have encouraged the Palestinians,” the Texas governor wrote in a Wall Street Journal column.
“It was a mistake to agree to the Palestinians’ demand for indirect negotiations conducted through the US, and it was an even greater mistake for President Obama to distance himself from Israel and seek engagement with the hostile regimes in Syria and Iran,” he wrote.

Don’t bet on it.
Perry’s a Crony.
PERIOD.
http://www.chron.com/news/houston-texas/article/Crony-capitalism-draws-attention-in-GOP-race-2164766.php#page-1
The sooner this guy replaces the current illegitimate resident of the White House, the better.
Brain trust,
After four years of Obama, we should not settle for a moderate, political crony like Perry.
Trust me, I live in Texas. I know.
RUN SARAH RUN!!
@Barrackaid
I disagree. And I suspect your loyalty lays in the Ron Paul camp, and you’re using Sarah Palin as a diversion. Particularly, since she is not running.
Go Perry! 2012
Katherine,
Ron Paul is a LOON!
LOON!
He’s Jekyll and Hyde.
I know Perry’s record. I’m in talk radio and study politics every day. DON’T BUY THE HYPE
How many Pauliens do YOU know who support Palin?
I’d support Bachmann but she doesn’t seem to have enough panache. Palin’s got it and needs to get in.
Palin has a record of confronting crony capitalism. Perry has a record of succumbing to it.
Where IS everyone?
HELLO!?
The only true leadership defending Israel that we have seen since 2008.
Perry is LONG on rhetoric, short on action.
It’s what he does.
@Barrackaid
When are you Paul fanatics going to figure out that people don’t like being lied to.
And it’s an observable phenomenon that any mention of Perry or Paul brings you Paulbots running….like a pack of wild dogs.
Katherine,
ONE click on my name and you will see my views on RON PAUL.
HE IS A LOON!!!
If you can’t see that, you’re in denial just like the Paul BOTS.
Geesh

I’m here, Barackaid !
Everybody,
Finally!
Folks,
Seriously,
Rick Perry can season the red meat better than anyone. That’s what you’re tasting.
Instead of talking about his record, we’re talking about whether social security is a ponzi scheme.
Where does that get us? Perry knows where that gets us. It feeds the masses.
DON’T BELIEVE IT. Just dig deep.
helped get turner elected in my district, ran a facebook campaign with the help of some other jewish people in brooklyn, thought it was a nice strike above the bow against obama, if perry is nominated, i will do everything i can to get NY into play for the republicans, it might sound funny, but the same people were laughing at the idea of a no-name republican winning the 9′th district as well.
barrackaid, you’ve just posted 10 or 12 posts , either your a paulbot or a libtroll, (the 2 sometimes are interchangeable)
@golem
None of the above.
You guys were slow to the party.
Golem,
You obviously didn’t do your research by clicking on my name.
ONE click would have disproved your presumption.
Hope Gov. Perry will get the nominee on the 2012 Republican Party ticket and he deserve it. Not Romney, Bachmann, and Palin. They are done. Very disppointing with Romney, Bachmann, and Palin because they are making a negative attack against Perry. It is wrong. They do have poor campaign and don’t have a very good advisers. They should have join the Democratic Party and run against Obama.
@ml,
Where do you live?
What state?
Barrackaid.. you’re a troll.. I live in Texas too, and I know better than you.. James Richard Perry is infinitely better than Hussein bin Obama.. Perry’s record is good.. and I like red meat.
Do any of you care that Rick Perry signed Hate Crimes bill?
http://governor.state.tx.us/news/speech/10595/
annexing the west bank is good counter move, however it comes with it’s own perils, mainly, what do you do with the several million arabs currently residing in that area, perhaps israel should fully annex area a and b in judea and samaria, those are mainly uninhabited, area c is the one where most of the arabs reside.
This all should be looked upon with the prism of war, the hordes are organizing and getting ready to march, it’s not a question of how, but when, turkey is threatening open war as we speak, and looking to lead a alliance of crazed egyptians/ syrians/lebanese, and even perhaps iranians. Although the last one is questionable considering the long rivalry between the sunni ottomans and the safavid mullahs. Perilous times we live in…
The man with the power to choose the next president is Marco Rubio.
@ S. Wolf
Not worried about who’s better than Obama (Perry is). I’m worried about not squandering an opportunity to put a conservative in the White House after 4 years of Carter on steroids.
Perry ain’t it. BY A MILE.
@ Mr. Rogers,
Bingo
McCain / Palin won 173 electoral votes in 2008.
No Way Palin / Rubio doesn’t win AT LEAST THAT.
The question is, how many more do they win?
Ohio? Florida? North Carolina? Virginia? Wisconsin? Colorado? Nevada?
Many more…
PALIN / RUBIO!!!
‘Perry, who has been Governor of Texas for 10 years, has more high-level governmental executive experience than anyone in the nation who hasn’t already served as President. In fact, he has more executive experience than Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid, combined.
It should be noted that while Texas has been leading the country in job growth and other economic areas, Perry doesn’t deserve all of the credit for this record, but he does deserve a good share of it. That is because during his tenure the often divided Texas government, in which 29 major offices are elected statewide, has functioned (mostly) as a unified team with Perry providing leadership. This team has kept Texas’ tax burden low despite hard times, and has kept Texas’ government among the smallest in the nation.
That said, Texas’ achievements of the past ten years occurred on Perry’s watch – with him at the helm. He deserves at least as much credit for the state’s conditions while he’s been Governor as Obama gets for “killing Bin Laden.”
And finally, it would be wise to remember that Rick Perry is, in the end, a politician. Granted, he is more conservative than most and has an enviable story to tell, but he is still a politician and must be encouraged to follow the wishes of his constituents – by pressure from the people. He has shown that he does listen when the people speak. Two of his major “stumbles” (Gardasil and the Trans Texas Corridor) received pushback from the populace and he backed off. And remember this, that any politician in office for ten years will have his/her critics and will have stepped on some toes during that time.’…
http://peskytruth.wordpress.com/2011/07/21/why-elect-rick-perry/
This is why Palin is electable…
http://barracknow.blogspot.com/2011/09/why-palin-is-most-certainly-electable.html
What was the vote in Texas each time Perry ran for election? Seems like he has major wins each time which would indicate that he has a lot of support.
Ron Paul is a nothing candidate and his stances on several issues in the debate made him look like a LOON.
Sarah Palin needs to show she has more experience. Like her, but we cannot afford someone with so little experience again. Same with Bachman.
Would never support Romney after his RomneyCare or his flip flop on abortion.
I agree with Mr Rogers in that Marco Rubio could be the king maker here. I look for him to endorse Perry.
@ Greta
I would be shocked if Rubio endorses Perry.
Not saying he won’t but I would be shocked.
Barrackaid.. He’s conservative.. more than you..
@ S. Wolf
No offense intended but that is an ignorant statement.
I would never sign hate crimes legislation
http://governor.state.tx.us/news/speech/10595/
How’s that red meat taste?
@Barrackaid
I browsed your radio’s site, and while the site reflects strong conservatism coming from a talk-radio host, I can’t help but wonder if you are really Ben Barrack. Put yourself in my shoes and you’ll see you exhibit the symptoms of our Paul-bots:
-you’re new here as nobody’s seen you around anywhere
-it took a post about Rick Perry to get you to come out of the woodwork
-you hold the majority of posts in this thread doing everything you can to sway us away from Perry. Palin’s fantastic, but we can’t vote for someone who isn’t running.
Palin has become a tease. She is not going to enter.
It’s Romney or Perry.
Just keeping it real.
@SkySphere
Now my identity is being questioned?
Not sure what else to do after that one.
I go to WS all the time, just don’t post a lot.
If Perry gets the nomination, I will hold my nose, just like I did in 2008. Unfortunately, the stakes in 2012 are much higher.
Don’t buy the hype.
The “WS” comment was just a gotcha.
I know it’s WZ
Tell you what, SkySphere,
Go to Benbarrack.com and send an email.
I’ll respond.
Mr. Rogers,
If it’s Perry or Romney, conservatives lose.
This will be interesting to watch…looking forward to it..along with the GOP debate this Thursday as well.
Bachmann and Palin have made real mistakes with their attacks on Perry and the Crony Crap/Gardisal issue…they have no room to talk, neither of them, too many examples have been thrown out there for all to read when it comes to hypocrisy …
Perry’s main prob is going to illegal immigration…period. Not this harping about this ~ it’s hurt them both.
@Barrackaid
“Go to Benbarrack.com and send an email.
I’ll respond.”
Sounds good.
Time to get ourselves out of the evil UNITED NATIONS and evict them from america lets turn the area intoa bird refuge without the chickens running loose
“Mr. Rogers says:
September 17, 2011 at 11:12 pm
The man with the power to choose the next president is Marco Rubio.”
Not where I live. Most of the people would not know who Rubio is. They do know who Perry is.
And Barrickwhatever, you need to live in my state and have my governor. Then you would have reason to complain. If you are truly a Texan, you are very fortunate to have Gov. Perry.
The Original…
…and she got their cheating…nothing like King. Co….as usual. (She wasn’t the only one either…I remember Cantwell BS too.
If we’re talking about same state ~
McCain / Palin won 173 electoral votes in 2008.
No Way Palin / Rubio doesn’t win AT LEAST THAT.
Listen to yourself. At least that? Then what?
P.S. So far, I like Perry quite a lot, and the hysteria coming from some just solidifies my impression. I’d like to see him get the nod and choose Rubio to run with him.
And Barrickwhatever, you need to live in my state and have my governor.
Are you in Washington? I am, and I soooo hear that.
Gov. Perry is solid conservative. He isn’t perfect but is a solid American. Enough said, Screw the socialist democrat machine. Any of the GOP contenders would be light years better than Chocolate Jesus.
Barrackaid.. well, I take offense, I’m tired of getting called ignorant by leftists and faux conservatives.. I don’t mind an itty bitty hate crimes law.. and its the leftists who commit hate crimes so they’ll be the ones in jail..
Sarah Palin is damaged goods. Her nomination will send the independents screaming-they won’t vote for Barry again, but they’d just sit this one out, which would equal Barry’s second term. Perry is really where we should be moving. Once he secures the nomination, I hope he hires Mitt Romney’s debate prep team.
@Mr. Rogers
Sad to say, Marco Rubio, like Bobby Jindal is not a natural born citizen. If either were to run for president, unlike Obama, this issue will come up and under our constitution neither is eligible. I think Rubio is what this country is all about.
All that said. I see none of the presidential candidates at this time inspiring. I would choose Perry over any of them at the moment. I can’t stand Bachmann, there is something about of not quite right, and I can’t get passed the billion in earmarks with her tea party caucus. Shame on her, I didn’t like her before the earmarks, that just confirmed my suspicions and dislike for her. Besides she part of the Washington problem.
I will not be quick to cling to anyone right now. I’ll continue to pay attention to what they say and do. Find out all I can, and hope more candidates emerge. As for Cain (not real bright on numerous issues) Paul (fruitcake), Gingrich (has been), Romney (refuses to admit failure, flip flops), Huntsman (pretending to republican/conservative), Bachmann (dingy, not quite right), Perry (no conclusion yet) Santorum (not given much thought).
How is Perry’s back?
Stem cell therapy (experimental in USA ) is not used for minor conditions. It is working well in animals so maybe it will assist & invasive surgery will not be needed.
I hope he has retired his buckin bronco to the basement. These things have sent many a middle aged (+) cowboy to the outer pastures of life.
Obama’s gonna win if the GOP doesn’t pull itself together. Stop with the name-calling and learn to debate rather than call each other names as children do. But yeah, keep devouring each other, that’ll work.
If anyone here truly thinks Perry is a conservative, I have a bridge to sell them.
His record has proven time and again that he’s anything but. In fact, I could say the same for most of the candidates. Keep denying reality though, as Americans typically like to do.
He’s even worse than Romney, is Romney is fucking horrible.
But hey, Perry is pro-Israel, which I guess is more important than being pro-America, right?!
Golem, Israel is hoisted on its own petard (as will Europe and the U.S. be) by allowing muslims to stay and even become citizens after 1967 (the Torah/Old Testament warned of the consequences). Israel must send its resident muslims out into Jordan and Egypt.
Nevermind annexation, not a good move under the current circumstances. Will Perry, as “Defender of Jerusalem” recognize Jerusalem as capital of Israel?

Which president (including Ronald Reagan) ever did and if the answer is none – why hold the Texan to a different standard?
By the way Michele Bachmann is a class A-1 jerk.
Anyone see a similar pattern with Perry & Obama during elections they both acted like they were already Potus w/authority..This guy is a bully crony like Obama..sorry peeps..He is about EGO & pandering..Palin was out for last 3yrs stating the same things..so has every candidate Except Ron Paul..
@SarahSmile:
None of them is running, but if they were, same question for all of the candidates. Extra points for the candidate awarded a title “The Defender of Jerusalem”
I’ve yet to hear a reason why this question is verboten. If you’re going to pander, at least be thorough.
hell no, worst possible candidate for Israel, but blindness prevails it seems
I can say with relish o-bum-a will become known as the So-Called President, or the Pretender President. He never was eligible so every thing he did is void.
@vagabond trader
The question is not whether a US POTUS will recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital – Israel has lived survived quite well with all the embassy’s in Tel Aviv, but will the US stand by Israel in a crisis. Neither Palin, Bachmann, Santorum, Romney, Cain, Gingrich or Perry will relocate the embassy to Jerusalem. The priority is -will the US let the world know that in a crunch we will be with Israel. That is all I care about. Symbolism is nice but doing something when the shit hits the fan is far more important. How about telling Erdogan that if he does not back down we will work to expel Turkey from NATO?How about telling the Egyptians if they renounce the Camp David treaty we not only cut off all aid but if they attack Israel we will fight along side Israel?
@SarahSmile:
One question at a time. Jerusalem as capital of Israel is NOT a pesty symbolic issue to many. Blathering about being pro Israel is symbolic,some would say it is pandering. After all, even Hussein professed support.
Enough with the strawman arguments, I posed a simple question.
Link:
Jerusalem IS capital of Israel
http://www.mfa.gov.il/MFA/Facts%20About%20Israel/State/JERUSALEM%20-%20Capital%20of%20Israel
After the UN vote Israel will annex! The “ersatz palistinians” will be repatriated to the land of their citizenship, jordan.
@ vagabond trader
Enough with the strawman arguments, I posed a simple question.
______________________________________
That by the way is not a straw man argument – that’s a convenient way of dismissing points that someone is making though.
Do you pose that question to all the candidates or just to Perry?
Since George W. Bush did not move the capital to Jerusalem do you regret voting for him?
If you have problems with Perry winning the Defender of Jerusalem Award take it up with Netanyahu or the mayor of Jerusalem. By the way Romney is my first choice (based on being more electable) and Perry is my second.
No president has truly been 100% behind Israel. Bush gave gaza to the Arabs unconditionally. But we have to keep trying to elect a POTUS that will stand with Israel.
Traitor Sharon gave Gaza, Bush had nothing to do with it.
Bush meagerly made it Hamas-land by pressing to include Hamas in the PA elections.
Reagan was not pro-Israeli, he was 100% pro-Arab because he was influenced by the antisemite Henry Kissinger. Although after Carter he looked like a huge improvement in that area.
US treats (East AND West) Jerusalem as de-facto Palestinian capital since Reagan, which means Clinton and Bush are worse than Obama, who wanted a full ’67 border withdrawal, while the veto of the embassy act means the vetoers want a ’47 border (UN partition plan).
Any one is better than Obama w/ respect to Israel. But, Perry’s Islamist sympathies offset his support for our ally Israel. He added Islamic studies to the public school curriculum & is buds w/ Repub insider Norquist, another Muslim/CAIR supporter. Perry needs a lot more vetting.(Perry just drop 13% in latest CBS.NYTimes poll…is he electable?)
@nati
You’re nuts.

The only true leadership defending Israel that we have seen since 2008.
With the exception of Sarah Palin who was way ahead of him and…though he’s not a political leader Glen Beck.
How about a candidate who stands up and supports our OWN COUNTRY? Seems like we’ve had a bunch of Globalist/Elitist puppets in for some time now. CROOKS
How about someone short on rhetoric, and long on principle, not switching their jargon depending on whom they’re talking to for political gain.
I’m tired of seeing an America falling for the “Rah-Rah-Vote-For-Me” deception every four years. Dig deep and quit labeling intelligent people who ask the tough questions and demand accountability of their candidates. This ain’t no football game, and your candidate is not a hero.
How gullible most of you are. Dumbasses deserve what you vote for, suckers, but the rest of us get stuck with a majority of idiot’s choices every 4 years due to the “rah-rah complex”. The real @ssholes running this country laugh their heads off all the way to the bank while you and I get SCREWED. Don’t be distracted by Da Joos, etc, focus on saving your own country- it’s currently on LIFE SUPPORT !
and the incoherent Paulturds are heard.
@jNYC
You got your Geller/Spencer talking points down pat. Go and get your reward from pammycakes. Perry’s Islamist sympathies – yeah right.
It would help if people determined the most important issues before disassembling a candidate.
Israel is an important issue but not in the top 5.
American priorities must come first.
Something along the lines of:
jobs
budget
illegal immigrants
taxes
Government size
SS
crime
welfare
Islamification
Israel
Most of these issues interconnect ,a good candidate will be able to define the problem,outline choices for a solution and link that to the next issue.ie unemployment –> job openings–> illegals filling jobs—->welfare abuse—>disability by illegals—> % of radical Islam illegals—>deportations—->new job openings—->decrease in welfare and disability costs–>increased safety—>drop in social medical costs–>increase in med testing,care ,employees—>reduction social program employees—-> +budget—->reduce foreign aid–>increase Israel aid—> Israel med teaching–>improved health care etc.
Perry allowed Islamic religious teachings in public schools.A HUGE NONO.
His illegal immigrant dealings aren’t great.
His support of Israel is good.
The rest is total rhetoric .Blahblahblah does not balance budgets,create jobs or reduce crime.
Call me crazy, but I simply do not see the advantage of adding yet another “turd world” country to the lineup. Especially one that I know is going to be a begger nation forever.
I like Perry and his strong support of Israel. He is the only true conservative who stands a chance of beating Obama.
