Turkey To Obama: We Hate Da Joooos And Nothing You Can Say Will Change Our Minds…

Don’t they know Obama has god-like healing powers?

(Haaretz) — Turkey and Israel do not need the United States’ help in mending their troubled diplomatic ties, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu told the French news agency AFP on Saturday, ahead of a planned meeting between U.S. President Barack Obama and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Ties between Israel and Turkey have taken another turn for the worse recently, as Ankara initiated a series of actions geared at downgrading its diplomatic ties with Jerusalem over Israel’s refusal to apologize for its raid on a Gaza-bound aid flotilla in 2010.

Reports on Friday alleged that Obama will meet Erdogan at the UN General Assembly in New York next week to urge the Turkism PM to repair relations with Israel, as tensions continue to rise between the two key U.S. allies in the region.

Speaking to AFP on Saturday, Davutoglu rejected the notion that the U.S. would be able to sway Turkey to back down on its hostilities toward Israel, saying: “We do not need mediation . . . for Israel in any way.”

“There is no such situation in which mediation is needed. The demands of Turkey are clear,” Davutoglu added, referring to Turkey’s long-standing demand that Israel apologize for the raid as well as pay compensation to the families of the nine Turks killed in the incident.

The Turkish FM insisted that “no one should test our resolve on this matter,” adding that the Americans “are probably the people who best understand Turkey’s position on this issue.”

As far as i know, Turkey does not have any nuclear weapons of their own.

    They cannot win.

Yes, I understand Turkey’s position on this matter. Their position is that of a bully.

:-) Maybe it should be explained to the Turkish PM that the US can push a button and detonate it’s own nukes within Turkish borders.

He should be made aware that he doesn’t want to piss us off either.

This will all end very quickly when any Republican replaces Obama and in fact before that. Immediately after the election the new President merely has to indicate that his nominee for State will be John Bolton and for Defense will be Allen West. Turkey will know the Era of the Wimp will be over at that point just as the Iranians did when Reagen was elected.

Come on! We all know Bam is going to tell Erdogan. He’ll say, Don’t worry E’dude, when the shit hits the fan we got your back on this one. There is nothing Bam wants more than to see Israel go down.

If the American Left’s “Audacity of Hope” boat had made it to the Israeli blockade and been blasted out of the water, killing all aboard. Would America have had a legal or moral case against Israel?

I don’t think so, because, first, those Americans were warned not to join in what was considered an illegal activity. Second, Israel has both the legal right and moral obligation to protect their own waters and by extension their people.

not strongly supporting Israel at this time will mean 2012 is a loss for Obama. Without strong Jewish support, the democrats lose in too many critical states. The vote in NY for new house member was a shot across the bow of Democrats. I am sure that he has had a lot of calls from those in his party since that vote. I look for Obama to make a strong Sister Souljah moment as did Clinton. He needs something to get the Jewish support back in line now and also to quiet a growing liberal backlash.

@gastorgrab- The efficacy of nuclear weapons is disputable. Even having said this Turkey’s nuclear capabilities are also well documented. Ex-CIA operative Valarie Plame has stated that Turkey was a key centrifuge supplier in Pakistan’s nuclear weapons program. (See http://antiwar.com/deliso/?articleid=8091) . However, because it is a party to the NBT and because it is a key Western Ally it’s nuclear capabilities are never discussed by Western powers. Either way the Islamic world (through Pakistan and soon Iran) now also has nuclear weapons. Hence, we cannot just wipe them out from the face of the earth if you are hinting this. The real issue is, should be confront Turkey militarily and start World War III. The next question then is are we really ready for WW3? Are we prepared to risk a US dominated world order?

The reality is that Turkey cannot be pressured nor can it be confronted militarily. In order to confront Turkey we have to be prepared to confront China and possibly Russia, Turkey’s now largest trading partner. Turkey and China have also signed a Strategic Agreement a few years ago and the two countries Air Forces have conducted Air drills together. See http://www.worldbulletin.net/index.php?aType=haber&ArticleID=64931

Turkey is no longer the sick man of Europe, nor can Turkey be taken for granted. It is us (and the EU) that is pushing Turkey away from the West.

It really does look more and more like all that’s been happening is just fine with this President; perhaps even a part of his plan.

Think about it – what if he really IS pursuing the “Banana Republicization” of America? What if he really does want to cause her harm?

If he didn’t, what would he be doing differently?

The answer – as best as I can tell – is “nothing.”

1 – the flotilla was not boarded in Israeli waters, it had not entered them, try reading the actual report

2 – the US needs the missile defense shield in Turkey to block Iranian missiles

3 – the dominant military power in the Middle East will be either Iran or Turkey

4 – Iran wants theocracies and Turkey wants democracies

5 – the old status quo in the Middle East is not coming back

More nations are publicly threatening Israel, in direct proportion to the takeover of their governments by radical Islam. Obama, who BOWS TO ISLAM to this day (I need not present evidence for that here, too numerous to count) isn’t doing Israel any favors by winking and nodding every time any of the radical Islamic governments makes these threats. The long tradition of the US government’s support of Israel and its survival, in the background at the very least, is highly questionable these days– I’m afraid Israel will find itself alone in defending itself at least until January 2013– as long as “you know who” doesn’t suspend the November 2012 elections.

I’m not convinced Turkey is all that upset with Israel over this….more likely, it’s over the drilling of oil in Cyprus waters. A little drilling company out of Houston, TX (Noble) is due to start drilling tomorrow morning. Israel, Greece, and Cyprus have entered into an alliance – Turkey has sent war ships (under the guise it’s to help their PA buddies over the flotilla ruckus, but their ships are patrolling off Cyprus. Turkey has also stated they’ll not keep hands off the oil/natural gas Israel is planning to drill either. They want a piece of everybody’s action.

Erdogan/Obama lied = people will die (if they don’t get over their silly selves).
