Soros-Funded Liberal Bedwetters Outraged Rick Perry Cites His Christian Faith As a Reason to Support Israel…

It’s called Judeo-Christian heritage, maybe they should look into it.

(ThinkProgress) — Today, Gov. Rick Perry (R-TX) held a news conference in New York City where he attacked President Obama’s Middle East policies and called upon the United States to be more stridently supportive of the actions of the Israeli government.

At one point, a reporter asked Perry how he views the Israeli-Palestinian conflict through the lens of his Christian faith. Perry replied by saying that as a “Christian,” he has a “clear directive to support Israel”:

PERRY: As a Christian I have a clear directive to support Israel, from my perspective its pretty easy both as an American and a Christian. I am going to stand with Israel.

In 2009, Perry struck a similar tone talking with the Weekly Standard. “My faith requires me to support Israel,” he said.

Perry misrepresents the Bible & Christianity, a real Christian would have answered differently and in a way that generates support & not hostility like his stupid (and inaccurate) comment did.

WTF? Perry answered truthfully and from the heart. Our Judeo-Christian heritage is the foundation of Western Civilization (a triangle of Jerusalem – Athnes – Rome). I am sure that the neo-Marxist World Council of Churches disagrees but eff them.

One of three people will be POTUS in 2013 – Obama, Perry, or Romney (sorry Palinistas and Bachmannites). In my opinion Perry and Romney are far superior to Obama (although neither is perfect) and my choice is Perry first followed by Romney.

Jeff – I think there was a time when Jews felt that Christians overall were anti-Jewish – and since they are in a minority in this country they felt it safer to align with other minorities via the democratic party. Times have drastically changed and those minorities they align with are not friends of the Jews and certainly not the present communist democratic party.

Fear of evil Christians lusting to forcibly convert Jews is a classic ploy for apostate self haters like Soros to use in order to stir up fear amongst liberal Jews. Bottom line, political fervor replaces faith.

Much of the fear of Christians by Jews has to do with the thousands of pograms and assaults on their communities in Europe for hundreds, if not over a thousand years. Yes, by the time many of them fled Europe after the Holocaust they had been fully indoctrinated into Marxism/Communism. The other side of that coin has to do with the Commandment to love your neighbor and see that they are fed and clothed – which the demwits logged onto and ran with, attracting what was left of the population of new immigrants by promises of charity. Little did they know the demwits would join hands with the Marxists and Communists forceably taking away what’s left of everyone’s paychecks. Not everyone bought into the idea of govn’t funded theft for charities – Ayn Rand’s parents were Jews from Russia, and look how she turned out!

the biggest reason for the anti-Jew sentiment in Europe?

The end is near. We need the Jews there to bring about the prophesy. Jesus Christ is returning. Those that convert will be saved. As Dr. Hagee says Nazis were God’s plan to push the Jews back to the land of Israel. “For then I will return to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the Lord, to serve him with one consent.” From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia My worshipers, My dispersed ones, will bring My offerings. In that day you will feel no shame because of all your deeds by which you have rebelled against Me; For then I will remove from your midst your proud, exulting ones, and you will never again be haughty on My holy mountain.” Therefore behold, the days are coming declares the Lord, when they will no longer say, as the Lord lives, who brought up the sons of Israel from the land of Egypt, but as the Lord lives, who brought up and led back the descendants of the household of Israel from the north land and from all the countries where I have driven them. Then they will live on their own soil.”

ER – I want to know how Perry misrepresented the Bible and Christianity???

  27. ER says:
    September 20, 2011 at 6:07 pm

Hi marnie, the Bible does not give a “directive” or “require” support for Israel — now the Holy Spirit may do that, does with me, but the text does not. Perry adds to the words of the Bible, thus curses himself, plus he confirms to the ummah their teaching that Jews & Christians are only friends of each other, etc. What the Bible *does* do is teach that there is blessing for anyone (Christian or otherwise) who blesses Israel, but heck, we even are called to love our enemies, & obedience period is blessed. The Bible does give theological reasons to support Israel, but they are not b/c “God says so, that’s why,” and from these & past remarks — as well as today’s remarks in Q&A — show that Perry is diametrically opposed to God’s commands (which do not allow for a 2-state solution). There are simple, accurate, yet supportive statements that could have been made, but Perry did not make them. Quite frankly, Perry’s stance on Israel is nearly identical to Obama’s anyway.

  28. ER says:
    September 20, 2011 at 6:11 pm

ps to marnie, while the Bible does not command support for Israel, in addition to the promises of blessing I acknowledged, it also promises cursing of nations who divide the land, and warns individuals not to “boast not against the branches”, but again, none of that is what Perry asserted.

  29. marnie says:
    September 20, 2011 at 6:45 pm

I don’t agree that his stance on Israel is identical to BHO – Perry said Obama’s policy was “naive, misguided, arrogant, and dangerous” and that he has appeased the Arab street at the expense of our national security. He also said it was wrong for the admin. to suggest that the 1967 borders should be the starting point for negotiations. I am thankful he is speaking out in support for our longtime ally -

Let’s assume for a moment that the worst of the worst Leftist conspiracy theories are correct, and that “the Jews are trying to take over the world”.

Have they promised to exterminate anyone? (as Islamists have)

Do they have a record of oppressing people of all other faiths but their own? (as Islamists do)

Are they insisting that everyone should “convert to Judaism, or die!”?

What exactly would the drawbacks to a ‘Jewish World Order’ be? What negative behavior can we now observe that could be projected onto a future new order?

Rick Perry is right! If we turn our back on Israel, God will turn His back on us. Israel is the apple of His eye. Wait until all these nations go against Israel, we will be a witness to the power of God and blood for 200 miles in the streets. If anyone has not seen Ann Barnhardt’s Islamic Sexuality, go to her web site and watch. It’s an eye opener. Thank you, Weasel Zippers, for keeping us up to date.

  33. ER says:
    September 20, 2011 at 7:25 pm

marnie, when you compare the *content* of Perry’s Israel policy with Obama’s instead of just noting the name-calling about Obama’s policy, & frankly the misrepresentation of it:
-both for 2-state solution (despite legal, historical, moral claims of Israel to all of Judea & Samaria & Jerusalem, and despite God absolutely prohibiting the division of His land when given over to Israel, which was the case in the ’67 war of self-defense)
-both HUGE globalists, Perry even admitting as much, thus supporting international involvement in such affairs (again, totally contrary to the Bible, & common sense for that matter looking at the hostility of nations against Israel)
-at best Perry said “could” not “would” when it comes to US withdrawal of funds from UN or Palestinians post a unilateral declaration, no big dif, if any there
yep, they are both huge internationalists with strong ties to interfaith ummah-promoters

    @vangrungy:

During the Crusades (most notably the 1st Crusade), in which peasants in Germany rose up to slaughter mostly defenseless Jews, who did the Jews run to? The Catholic Church, which sheltered and protected as many as it could. Local bishops went so far in some cases, as to excommunicate leaders of some of those progroms. The Church never condoned and vehemently condemned such actions.

  36. The Original says:

ER, yes, God did say He would bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse it. And Paul also stated that as we are Christians we are “grafted” into the Israel family. So, you see . . . by supporting and defending Israel we are supporting and defending our brothers. As a Christian, I find that as a mandate.

I was going to go through your contentions one by one and blow them apart.

But I realize I don’t have to. I only need to quote a small portion of one of your lines: ” *a real Christian* would have answered differently”

A real Christian? Who the hell are you to judge what lies in a man’s heart. And to designate the formulaic for being a “real Christian”.

That line alone ignores most of the teachings of Jesus Christ.

So run along…. and take your egotistical innuendos and false declarations with you.

@Katherine, let me guess, “Judge not lest ye be judged” out-of-context prooftext? *shakes head* (I did try to warn you, anyways, I shall stop)
@Duckhead, precisely, which is another reason Rick 2-state-solution Perry is going directly against the Bible and jeopardizing our national security. We know that’s going to happen, but we don’t need to hasten the day.
