Georgia: Middle School Kids Taught Saudi Women Feel “Very Fortunate To Have Sharia”…

Oh yeah, they have it great. Just because they can’t leave the house without a male “chaperon,” can’t drive, can’t work, can’t leave the country, can’t be in the same room with unrelated men and on and on doesn’t mean they have it bad.

MARIETTA — Campbell Middle School has adjusted its curriculum on the Middle East after a parent complained that material provided for one assignment “positively slants towards Islam.” The creator of the materials, though, said she doesn’t understand the objection.

Hal Medlin said the assignment, sent home with his seventh-grader in late August, was aimed at helping students outline the pros and cons of school uniforms. The material includes a letter from a woman who is explaining why she is “proud and happy” to be Muslim and a list of seven conditions for women’s dress in Islam.

Neither Medlin nor district officials would identify the teacher.

“I thought this was absurd,” said Medlin, who describes himself conservative. “(The teacher) was trying to compare Islamic rules of dress and how they compared to school uniforms, which I thought was a stretch. The principal and the (superintendent) agreed with me . . . but they wouldn’t agree with my premise that it put Islam in a positive light because of the (statements).”

Here are excerpts from some of the material Medlin objected to, titled “My Name is Ahlima” and copyright by InspirEd Educators Inc. It is printed here with permission:

“My name is Ahlima and I live in Saudi Arabia. . . . Perhaps two differences Westerners would notice are that women here do not drive cars and they wear abuyah. An abuyah is a loose-fitting black cloth that covers a woman from head to toe. I like wearing the abuyah since it is very comfortable, and I am protected from blowing sand. . . . I have seen pictures of women in the West and find their dress to be horribly immodest. . . . Women in the West do not have the protection of the Sharia as we do here. If our marriage has problems, my husband can take another wife rather than divorce me, and I would still be cared for. . . . I feel very fortunate that we have the Sharia.”

Said Medlin: “If you take these three pieces of paper at face value and stick them out there, how can you not say that it’s positively promoting religion, particularly Islam? I want them to agree that it should not go out.”

I’d like for some of these “teachers” to make a few patrols over in Mulaland. They would find out the majority of women don’t feel so fortunate to live under Sharia, where they are basically treated like cattle, less so if they piss of their master (husband). Of course they can’t say that or they will be severly punished or killed.

Some of the things I have seen practiced under Sharia would not be suitable for small kids – some of it is hard for grown men to stomach. This altruistic B/S is just that…..

I still ask how so many immigrated here, and why they’re here? We are at diabolical ends of the spectrum. The only way they’ll thrive here is if we let them. That means shariah law, tolerating a culture we can never understand, and breeding a sub-culture that will never assimilate. Seems now their methods of recruitment are in our prisons, schools, but immigration is the one that will overwhelm us.

“Two Saudi Arabian artists have built a representation of the Twin Towers using stacks of Korans. Called ‘Blink’, the artwork uses 150 copies of Islam’s holy book in an attempt to promote unity between the world’s religions…..

Verses from the Koran are written on the yellow ribbon surrounding the installation, which was conceived by Qaswara Hafez and Raneem Farsi.
Blink is currently on show at a gallery called Q Contemporary in Beirut, which, its website boasts, features ‘visceral, bold, cheeky and original’ works of art.

The artists explain that after the attacks on the World Trade Center by Islamic extremists, many Muslims undertook a great deal of soul searching, because they felt their religion had been hijacked for a purpose they disagreed with.
Blink, they say, aims to promote greater understanding of Islam and to change the negative view of it that many in the West, following 9/11, now have.”

And the Crusades were to push muzzies out of europe last time…it will happen again, and here too, they are not wanted ANYWHERE. 1400 years of first cousin inbreeding they are psychotic and mildly retarded and should not be allowed to reproduce at all.

The reason why we are in America today is that Queen Isabella sent Columbus to find a way to circumvent the muslim (Ottoman) land pirates (sharia tells them it’s their right to steal from nonmuslims, which is why 99.9% of pirates are muslim). The Ottomans were blocking the Silk Road….

While it is a well-known fact that arabs marry camels and goats, it is only now that we have discovered that they actually hold “camel beauty pageants” in the desert. This practice, and the assumed muslim orgies that follow, certainly enrage Jesus and I, as I’m sure they do you as well.
    http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/4748292.stm
Tribes show best camels at beauty pageant
    http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n217/PastorEzekiel/camel.jpg
DUBAI (Reuters) – Ten golden-colored camels adorned with sparkling ornaments line up for the finale of a beauty contest in one of the UAE’s northern emirates, awaiting the selection of two proud winners.
Gulf Arabs from across the region gather in a large sandy plot in Ajman to sit in for a four-hour competition, which will see the selection of the best out of 150 camels every day.
The three-day spectacle should end with the top two finalists bagging luxury cars, while a remaining eight win cash.
In an effort to preserve the Gulf Arab country’s cultural legacy, the government encourages camel rearing through funding and festivals where the desert animal is paraded for beauty, and sold in auctions.
The festival also serves as a meeting point for the country’s tribes, residing in the rural parts of the United Arab Emirates. Tribesmen are paid by the government to rear camels and preserve a pure lineage of the country’s breeds.
“The UAE’s heritage is linked to camels and this festival emphasizes this. Traditions and customs lie in maintaining our history,” said Saeed al-Aameri, who owns a large camel farm and is a participant in the pageant.
The camels are judged on different criteria, depending on the breed. The body is divided into five sections, with 20 points each, to mark beauty and elegance.
After the prettiest camels are selected, based on the length of neck, curve of the humps, structure of the body, height and general appearance, the camels’ owners are sworn in to vouch for purity of lineage and proprietorship.
“I swear that this camel is local, not hybrid…a pure breed and is fully owned by me,” said one of the finalists, standing beside his camel.
At the auction, after the pageant, Gulf Arabs gather to place their bids or sell for the highest price on offer.
Some camels could be sold for as much as 16 million dirhams ($4.36 million), said one participant.
The festival takes place three times a year in Ajman and Abu Dhabi, said the event’s executive director, Shalal Rzooqi al-Shimri, adding the event was popular in countries including Oman, the UAE and Qatar.
“With the festival, we want to encourage cultural tourism and preserve our heritage,” said Shimri.

So anyways, moreso what my point was that why is it that I don’t hear of American kids being taught much about other cultures that exist right here in the USA? For example, the Amish?

Back to the Middle East and the discussion of Muslim Women; than wouldn’t it be sensible that the teacher would allow for the aspect of the negative impact this has on the women? But no. Instead it seems there is the ongoing romanticizing about Sharia. It makes no sense.

And my assertion that millions were killed in the name of Christ still stands. And the Crusades were not to push Muslims out of Europe. They were an attempt by the Church to conquer, or “reclaim” as they like to say, the Holy Lands. You also forgot the Native Americans. Granted there are no accurate figures for how many there were before the Europeans came but most estimate about 12 million.

    Hick,

Honestly, now that you mention it, I don’t remember being taught much about the Amish when I was in school even though there was a small group living about twenty minutes from the school. Always a blast seeing their carts at Wal-Mart during the holidays.

And to be completely honest here, we do not know if the teacher mentioned the aspects of Islam you bring up or not. The post itself makes no mention of the rest of the lesson and all the parent complained about was that the woman in the pamphlet wasn’t demonizing the religion. If you read the pamphlet, which is readily available online, it is nothing more than a woman talking about various practices and what her feelings about those practices are.

I can not tell you of the Muslim experience anymore than I can tell you what it’s like to be Japanese because I am neither. What I mean is that only someone that lives a certain way can tell you what it’s like to live that way and that is what the pamphlet was.

  53. Hickster (formerly Hickhayseed) says:
    September 23, 2011 at 8:21 pm

Hi Aaron: Since you have the background that you have than you are probably really familiar with that verse that goes something like: “Train up a child in the way that he should go & when he is old he will not depart from it.”

I can not possibly know what your experience is with it all or what brought you to the point of” thinking for yourself”. All I do know is that I am somewhat an old woman and by now there’s been a fair number of folks that I have met through the years that have (more or less) said the same thing that your saying with regards to their religious upbringing. What I have found interesting is that oddly enough the atheists or the agnostics tend to know the Bible really really well. So, realizing that the “Word is sharper than any two-edged sword” I would have to say that all that “thinking for yourself” isn’t going to happen. From your standpoint of view I’m sure it seems that you have arrived at the “thinking for yourself” but eventually I think you will find that there is no place so far from God that HE is not farther still.

My apologies for preaching. But my belief is that once a Soul is born it lives indefinitely. I’ll leave my preaching at that.

About the history of the Muslims, the various Crusades and such. All I can say is we are not living then. We are living in the present.

    Alderwood,

I never said Islam was a positive in my eyes. I personally hate all religions with the exception of LaVeyan Satanism and that’s only because their beliefs are basically just aggressive atheism with a flair for the theatrical.

My beef is with the fact that since 9/11 Christians have decided to become more aggressive with their hatred for everyone else. Turn on Fox News around the holidays (usually in the mornings) and notice how much fire they’re spitting about atheists.

Or how about the fact that people think that now they can spit on this country’s foundations that all faiths are supposed to be equal? Muslims have turned into the new gays as far as harassment and violence is concerned. Mosques are being vandalized all across the country. The town I live in recently revoked the one mosque’s permit to use a publicly owned parking lot after 20+ years forcing worshipers to walk or take a cab. That was done after they found out that the town couldn’t legally force them to leave. The number of criminal acts perpetrated against Muslims in recent years has been on a steady rise.

If nothing else came of 9/11 it was peeling back the mask and revealing how ugly and vile the people of this country really are. And then people have the balls to pretend they don’t understand why the rest of the world hates us.

  57. Aaron says:
    September 23, 2011 at 8:34 pm

    Hick,

You’re very accurate when you say most atheists and agnostics are quite knowledgeable about the Bible. The Bible is what turned the majority of us away from Christianity. If you ask an atheist in a country with a different dominant religion they’ll say that it was learning about that religion that drove them away from religion so it isn’t just a crusade against The Bible.

The koran says mosques are forts to infiltrate and kill off dhimmis and kafir (nonmuslims) for dar al islam (when all nonmuslims are D-E-A-D and then there can be “peace” which is why they call it the religion of peace)…
I don’t see why any nonmuslim should welcome any muslim, since their entire BEING is devoted to ultimately kill off the host. They cannot respect any country’s laws, since none are above sharia.

Islam is NOT a religion anyway, just as Italy has deemed. It is a totalitarian supremacist self promoting political ideology. Calling islam a religion is just like calling Nazism a religion.

If muslims rewrote their texts to take out the political takeover, genocide, perversion, supremacist, racist, abusive, enslaving, misogynistic, pedophilia, necrophilia, pederasty, beastiality, raping, mutilating, etc. language…well I don’t know what’s left, but nobody cares if they make forehead raising praying to their pagan moongod allah, but they best just leave the rest of us alone. We’re on to their game, the al taqiya inroads are roadblocked and if they dont’ like it then they can goback to their 7th century shitholes and fuck goats til the camels come home, then fuck them too.

Which is not included somewhere in the Christian Bible? Is it political takeover, genocide, perversion, supremacist, racist, abusive, enslaving, misogynistic, pedophilia, necrophilia, pederasty, beastiality, rapin, or mutilating?

I don’t give a flying about Muslim women. The line up in alpha order to be mutilated then they in turn mutilate other females. They allow their men to have sex with their infants, to have sex with their little boys, and encourage their sons to commit suicide and murder.

They allow and encourage their men to slaughter their daughters if the daughters dare want to learn to read, resist the advances of their brothers, or laugh unbecomingly.

Their own holy book declares females are destined for hell. At some point, 1 of these beasts has to question the system.

Aaron? Is it the Bible or is it People? Because people mess up all the time on this planet. That is why I think that verse that is from (is it from 1st Chronicles or 2nd Chronicles) about….”If My People who are called by my Name humble themselves and Pray and turn from their wicked ways than will I hear from Heaven, forgive them and heal their land.” (I’m not sure I have that exactly correct.)
Granted, there is a lot of wickedness going on all over the globe. Whether it be from Muslims, Christians, Atheists, Gangs, Drug Cartels, on & on & on.

……”so it isn’t just a crusade against The Bible.” Thank You for being honest about that. I have just learned a lot. It’s the people-problem.

Uh huh.. sharia is really good for women..

’4.) Women denied access to medical care:
This is a huge number because, under Islamic law, women would only be able to be seen by female doctors—an exceedingly small fraction of this world’s medical practitioners. We’ll use the figure for global female cancer mortality rates as an example of how reduced early intervention would escalate avoidable deaths, especially among women. That figure amounts to more than 3 million per year.

Concealed in all this is a small yet meaningful number of so-called “honor killings” that typically involve young Muslim girls or wives who ― through premarital sexual activity or inappropriate dalliances ― have disgraced their families and are put to death for it, typically by their own family members. In a global caliphate, over one million of these murders per year would not be an unexpected figure. Do not think for one moment that Western women would magically be immune from this stricture. Imams and Islamic mutaween (“morals police”) would cheerfully put to death any youthful or adult offenders regardless of their race or belief.’

Religious freedom doesn’t include killing your own children, praising Hitler and demanding the Constitution be rewritten for one religion.

I guess slaughtering goats on NY streets and refusing blind people cab rides is ok with you as long as muslims are doing it.And whats a few girls sexually mutilated ,as long as the world likes us.And no, muslim persecution is not on the rise.Antisemitic hate crimes are way higher.

aaaaaarrrroonnn is a libtard with no moral compass to guide any of his misguided thoughts. He’s smart. He’s educated. He thinks the universe revolves around him -or- he’s deluded enough to believe that he is the logical endpoint of a biological/chemical process called evolution. Mind you, I fully understand the reality of the evolutionary process, but the idea that the human experience came from a random chemical accident is as far fetched as any of the organized religions.

He might be a muzzie doing some recon. He might be a satanist doing the same, but the bottom line is that he is antiChristian. I’m not a ‘practicing’
Christian, but I am a practicing American which is an extension of Judeo-Christian principles and that offers the most freedom of thought and opportunity ever known in the last millinium.

Like it or not, anybody that questions this or challenges the idea that the Grand Experiment called the United States of America is an enemy of mine and the country that allows this kind of enemy to exist within it’s borders. This is the paradox that may be the undoing of our Republic. With our endless supply of goodwill and tolerance, this kind of self-hating moron will live a long and sad life of dissatisfaction about the system that protects and provides for him. He would be killed or maimed in one of a multitude of manners if he had the poor luck to be born in, say, Saudi Arabia with these outspoken criticisms of his homeland.
My guess is that Aaaarrron wouldn’t have much to say about the ‘Holy’ koran if he was in Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Turkey, Libya, Kuwait, Egypt….you get the idea.

Trying to get a fool to see their folly is like expecting your dog to fly like an eagle.

Steve Martin Atheist Song – First hymnal for Atheists

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFWA1A9XFi8

    Atheists Don’t Have No Songs

Christians have their hymns and pages,
    Hava Nagila’s for the Jews,
Baptists have the rock of ages,
    Atheists just sing the blues.

    Romantics play Claire de Lune,
Born agains sing “He is risen,”
But no one ever wrote a tune,
    For godless existentialism.

For Atheists there’s no good news. They’ll never sing a song of faith.
In their songs they have a rule: the “he” is always lowercase.
    The “he” is always lowercase.

Some folks sing a Bach cantata,
    Lutherans get Christmas trees,
Atheist songs add up to nada,
But they do have Sundays free.

    Pentecostals sing to heaven,
Coptics have the books of scrolls,
    Numerologists can count to seven,
    Atheists have rock and roll.

For Atheists there’s no good news. They’ll never sing a song of faith.
In their songs they have a rule: the “he” is always lowercase.
    The “he” is always lowercase.

    Atheists don’t have no songs.
Christians have their hymns and pages,
    Hava Nagila’s for the Jews,
Baptists have the rock of ages,
    Atheists just sing the blues.

    Catholics dress up for Mass,
    And listen to, Gregorian chants.
Atheists just take a pass, Watch football in their underpants.
    Watch football in their underpants.

    Atheists don’t have no songs.

This is what I do not understand! If Muslim culture is forced upon us and the Sharia(sp) law is implemented, what will the gay and lesbian, women , Jewish people, Hollywood, and any person they deem as an infidel be subjected to?

I have lived in the Middle East for years in the past. When those Saudi women get on a plane to Europe in Riyadh, the minute the door closes those burkahs come off and they are draped in gold jewelery and sport the latest Paris fashions that any Western woman would envy. While female circumcision still happens throughout the Muslim world, I can tell you from personal experience that it is NOT mandatory and does NOT happen to every woman, even in conservative countries. As for the above somehow “promoting” Islam, I hardly see that connection. The statement is one woman’s viewpoint, and in fact it is shared by many women in Saudi who, despite what you may believe, are treated like Queens. Clearly the lifestyle and culture is not for everyone, but it does exist and there are those who enjoy it and have no desire to impress it on others (as in fact Islam prohibits prostelization unlike Christianity – clearly a rule not followed by all Muslims, but it is still in the Koran). Finally, the comparison is valid. The argument originally proferred for school uniforms was based on 1) elminiating the envy of kids who had expensive clothes, and 2) to embody certain elements of self respect, neatness, and a sense of community having a particular uniform being associated with a certain school. The burkah serves much the same role in the Muslim contest – modesty is cherished and minimizes petty envies that can break out over mates in what is still a very tribal based society (jealousy and coveting of anothers mates), and embodies a certain self respect for God and ones association with a given group (Saudi women are easily distinguised from Egyptians, Jordanians, Iraqi based soley on dress, as are men based on their kafiya pattern and style of wearing it). Absolutely note of the above “promotes” Islam in any case.

World traveler, well they just better like it hadn’t they? What’s the alternative? If they chose(ha!) not to wear it it would be rape, jail, and quite possibly death by honor killing.

  87. World Traveler says:
    September 25, 2011 at 1:40 pm

And “chosing” not wo wear a school uniform would also result in punishment, up to and including expulsion. The educational equivalent of honor killing. you have no idea regarding the treatment of rapists in Moslem countries. Rape occurs in all cultures on this planet, I no of none where it is condoned, and it Islamic countries it is not a form of punishement. It is true that when a man is accused of rape, if it goes to court, he is often set free. What you DO NOT see here in the west is that that release is by understanding (explicit or not) of all parties involved. Rape is a cardinal sin that degrades not just the woman, but the families of both parties as well. Try and track down those released rapists. You will find that they have either been exiled from their country and disowned by their families, or have met fates of a more extreme prejudicial nature (and those that do go to jail often do not live long enough to carry out their full sentence – pedophiles are included in this category to a much greater extent even). If you are a true conservative, you believe in individual liberty. You have no more business condemning cultures you no little about, and demanding they follow YOUR value and legal systems, than they have business wanting to impress Sharia law here in this country.
