N.C. Dem Gov. Beverly Perdue: Hey, Let’s “Suspend” Elections Until We Fix America…

Obama seen eagerly nodding in approval.

(New Observer) — Speaking to a Cary rotary club today, N.C. Gov. Bev Perdue suggested suspending Congressional elections for two years so that Congress can focus on economic recovery and not the next election.

“I think we ought to suspend, perhaps, elections for Congress for two years and just tell them we won’t hold it against them, whatever decisions they make, to just let them help this country recover. I really hope that someone can agree with me on that,” Perdue said. “You want people who don’t worry about the next election.”

The comment — which came during a discussion of the economy — perked more than a few ears. It’s unclear whether Perdue, a Democrat, is serious — but her tone was level and she asked others to support her on the idea.

She should be thrown out TODAY! As for the rest of them – two words – TERM LIMITS. By the way, Democrats and their allies have been calling for violence now for some time – rage on wall street anyone? Now they begin the call to keep “the one” in office – permanently?? Get ready to stand up for your Country before they completely destroy it.

This is nothing more than the “hope” that they can avoid the Republican’s obtaining a 60 vote majority. They know they won’t be able to compete at the polls, so they hope to avoid having to do so, by fiat.

    Not. Gonna. Happen.

What is clear here, you see, is the dems know 2012 is going to be a serious battle, that very well will be a loss, for Obama. They know the real issue is in both houses of Congress in danger.

We can vote in a conservative or a RINO, but we NEED to get the majority in both houses.

This woman is proof of their fear of the very good possibility the dems are going to not only lose the WH but their power in Congress.

A conservative led Congress on whole would keep a Romney’s feet to the fire, as well their RINO counterparts.

Go figure that a Democrat like Perdue be worried about the next congressional elections. In case you’re keeping score, this makes twice in the past 24 hours that a prominent Dem has called for less democracy as the solution to America’s problems. The first was former Obama budget guru Peter Orszag, who argued yesterday in TNR that Congress should rely more heavily on independent commissions (like IPAB!) and automatic “triggers” of the sort that are guiding the Super Committee’s work on deficit reduction. His idea is much milder than Perdue’s — those commissions and triggers would, after all, be set by Congress itself, and therefore could be undone by Congress if need be — but the fact that you have former White House advisors and current Democratic governors now chattering idly about how to insulate Congress from angry voters is not, shall we say, a happy trend. Sorry but, Bev’s press secretary, Chris Mackey’s, sad attempt to spin this as hyperbole isn’t cutting it. Her statement was in context both inthe forum in which she was speaking and with the political climate within the liberal, Democrat aparatchiks. Her last blurb of “I really hope someone can agree with on that.” puts the lie to any claim that this was hyperbole. The Dems KNOW they are in trouble come 2012 and everyone of them, no doubt, are thinking the same thing as Bev actually stated. This was more of a slip of the tongue in a friendly envrionment giving us a glimpse of her true thoughts.

For whatever all reasons, here is some more info from “that” book that I’ve been sharing previous excerpts from:
“The most likely path that Obama will follow is a crisis strategy. In other words, create fear, panic & confusion among all the people, and they will readily accept any leader that promises to quickly end their pain and give them peace and security. This scenario is probably much easier than most people imagine. If terrorists (maybe with the help of Obama) were to blow-up just 11 of our complicated oil refineries, we would lose 50% of our fuel production over night. Gas wouold be rationed and shoot to $20/gallon. Food deliveries would cease. Doctor’s appointments could not be kept. Businesses would fail for lack of customers. And power plants would shut down for 1/2 days…..(continued)

The National Guard would be stationed on every street corner, and marshall law would be declared. Obama would be in charge and have immediate dictatorial powers. WHAT and WHO would make him return those powers? There are many other scenarios to quickly bring the United States to it’s knees…….The average…American would say ‘Hey, that is unconstitutional, you can’t do that’….When Obama’s reply is ‘Yes, I can’ what are you going to do about it”…….

I’m sure Obama has an off-the-shelf plans ready to meet this contigency. United States presidential election, 1864 – Wikipedia
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_presidential_election,_1864

In the United States Presidential election of 1864, Abraham Lincoln was re-elected as president. THE ELECTION WAS HELD DURING THE CIVIL WAR. Lincoln ran under the National Union ticket against Democratic candidate George B. McClellan, his former top general. McClellan ran as the “peace candidate”, but he did not personally believe in his party’s platform. Although the only votes counted were those cast in states that had not attempted to secede from the Union, elections were held in the Union-occupied states of Louisiana and Tennessee, with Lincoln carrying both.[1]

In otehr words, the end results will be the same, only it will take a little longer. You have seen the dizzying array of Obama’s style of governing over his first year and a half in office….. He is a man on a mission……Whe elected republicans or conservatives outside the government speak against Obama’s actions, they are attacked from every quarter by politicians, talk show hosts, blogs….Tea Partiers are shadowed by SEIU thugs and vocally and physically ambushed. If the Darkside has no real event to rail about they invent one; like the black Congressmen who said racial epithets were voiced at them during the Obamacare debacle. If you shut-up and cooperate, Obama will send you a check, whether it’s unemployment compensation or food stamps. @gastorgrab – “If we didn’t postpone elections during our Civil War, why would we do it because Democrats want a ‘do-over’?”

    Because Obama wasn’t president then.

Hickster has hit the nail on the head. This is the intention of Maobama and his minions. If there is any way possible for them to maintain control, including delaying the elections, they will.

It’s time for those among us left slumbering in that hazy cocoon of incredulity to wake up and realize that these people are capable of anything and willing to execute that which is beyond imagination to preserve their seat at the table of power and to do everything they can to seize even more control.

We must stop limiting these people by what YOU and I can imagine and start realizing these people have us at an extreme disadvantage. They are far, far beyond what we are capable of thinking for the simple fact that they are not constrained by morals or laws or decency. They will do ANYTHING to retain control, including what you could never imagine. You are a fool to believe otherwise. Never has the phrase “thinking outside of the box” been more appropriate. We are standing on the precipice of a whole new kind of war with an entirely different kind of enemy; an enemy that understands that boundaries, limits or rules only exist when we recognize them. Rules are for children. Their ONLY goal is to destroy us by whatever means necessary.

Perdue was not kidding around and this is not the last time you will hear this. These people understand that our Constitution only works when we all agree to honor it. So what if they simply decide to ignore it? Who will stop them? This is how they think. Laws don’t work on the lawless. Shame doesn’t work on the shameless. Guilt doesn’t work on the psychopath. This is why Clinton’s technique of “deny, deny, deny” was so effective.

The questions is, are you ready to see this reality as clearly as they do? Are you ready to throw off the blinders of comfort and complacency and really do what is necessary to preserve freedom? Are you? It’s going take a hell of a lot more than posting to this blog. Laws do not stop people from breaking them – they simply give the rest of society permission to punish the law breaker. It is the PUNISHMENT that mitigates behavior. Are your guns loaded? Do you know how to shoot them? Are you willing to KILL the fucking enemy? Thankfully, I know that many of you are, because that is what it will take. These people couldn’t care any less about “reason” or “meaningful dialogue” or the Constitution. They are not going to stop until they have succeeded in destroying life as we know it or we have killed every last one of these scumbags. That’s a reality you must be prepared to deal with.

Suspend elections? Let’s see, when have any presidential or congressional elections been suspended in this country because of a looming national or international crisis?

    Panic of 1797? (depression) No
    Depression of 1807? No
    War of 1812? No
    Panic of 1819? (depression) No
    Panic of 1837? No
    Mexican-American War
    Panic of 1857? No
    Civil War? No
    Panic of 1873? No
    World War I? No
    Great Depression? No
    World War II? No
    Korean War?
    Vietnam? No
1973-1975 Oil Crisis and Recession? No
    Recession of 1980-1982?
Iranian Revolution, Iraq, Afghanistan or any act of Jihadi terrorism? No
How about any national disasters like earthquakes, hurricanes or tornadoes? No

All Governor Bev is doing is spilling the beans that Marxist Democrats desire to emulate Castro, Chavez, and Mugabe. She and they know that a fair election means most of them will go down. Never let a good crisis go to waste, eh Governor Perdue? And yet, how many times did we hear the Left wail and screech that a Republican president would use a national crisis to suspend elections and declare martial law?

You folks in North Carolina need to reign her in and recall for that kind of talk.

    the standard litmus test,

if a republican governor said this how would the media react….

the leftist party and all its camp followers are mind boggling in all the projection they manifest of their evil ideas and intent, on their political opponents…

I am from NC. Perdue is a worse Governor in our history. She will be a one-term Governor. In NC, our unemployment and taxes are so high. It is so corrupt. We haven’t had a Republican Governor in NC since 1972. Hope we will have a Republican Governor next election because state of NC need to be clean up.

This is the governor that signed an executive order that prohibits people with concealed weapon permits from carrying weapons during a state of emergency.
§ 14 288.7. Transporting dangerous weapon or substance during emergency; possessing off premises; exceptions.
    (a) Except as otherwise provided in this section, it is unlawful for any person to transport or possess off his own premises any dangerous weapon or substance in any area:
    (1) In which a declared state of emergency exists; or
    (2) Within the immediate vicinity of which a riot is occurring.
With an executive order, the hell with democracy.

NC Republican Party website is not even linking to this story. They do not even care.

In a sane world, all NC government business would be suspended and this governor’s impeachment vote would be on the floor today. Calling for elections to be suspended is treason.

BHO is going to try this next fall. Mark my words. Fight back now and fight back hard.

What this bitch is saying is that We The People should not be factored in when determining who runs the country or any state once we’ve been stupid enough to vote them in.
