Palin Says Being President Could “Shackle” Her…

Via Political Wire:

Sarah Palin suggested to Fox News that being president might be too limiting:

“Does a title shackle a person? Are they — someone like me, maverick, you know, I do go rogue, and I call it like I see it, and I don’t mind stirring it up. . . . is a title and is a campaign too shackling? Does that prohibit me from being out there, out of the box, not allowing handlers to shape me?”

In 2008 she was a breath of fresh air, now frankly (in my opinion!) it seems that she has fallen in love with herself.

I like Sarah, but I wished she’d stay out of office and stir the pot from the outside. She does a better job of forming policy and decisions by being able to get voters fired up. If she ran, she’d get the other voters fired up to turn out against her.

She needs to stay away from the Presidency. She would better serve this country by inciting voters to make wise choices when they cast their votes not like in 2008 when many voters proved they were morons.

First thing we need though is a worthy candidate.

“She does a better job of forming policy and decisions by being able to get voters fired up. If she ran, she’d get the other voters fired up to turn out against her.”

Two diametrically opposite thoughts contradicting one another; if you’re going to make declarations at least try a logical approach.

Conservatives: “Please Sarah get on the front lines and take all the heat for us… now go f@ck yourself; it’s election year: make room for Perry and Romney.”

    This country is screwed!

The Presidency is a short route to gray hair, crags & creases of old age, stooped & shriveled physique, & a sort of senile irrevelance. We want our Sarah forever fresh & fragrant, youthful, exhuberant, exotic & enticing, far above the madding crowd’s ignoble strife.

    should she choose.

Okay, I’ll clarify. She gets conservatives fired up and making better decisions as to electing conservatives, not just Republicans. She pisses off the left and gets them fired up as well. If she ran she’d be a lightning rod for the left.

Which voters would you rather have energized, the right with her stirring from the outside, or the left with her running?

From someone who likes both conservatives and women, I still don’t get the infatuation with Sara Palin. I saw the “shackle” comment on the news, for Pete’s sake, spit it out. She clearly likes to hear herself speak, making her borderline elitist and tone deaf as well.

  12. Twangtown says:
    September 28, 2011 at 10:05 am

Oh Yea, and please don’t use the term “Maverick” any more, let alone “Mavericky”, it brings back too many nauseous memories of your running mate.

For the love of God….could someone please tell this bobble head to STOP using the words “maverick” and “rogue”….

While I think I was once a Palin fan (for about 27 minutes)… she now mashes on my last damned nerve. It began with her hijacking via coat tailing the success of the TEA Party “movement”… she has since aided in it becoming a near discredited, laughing stock.

Her and Bachman… every time they speak it’s “from the stump, rally tone”, the changes in inflection and often forced whisper for emphasis reminds me of a 6th grade teacher attempting to motivate kids before a game of Red Rover…. :|

Love Sarah Palin as a Republican fundraiser or speaker but not as president. Don’t get me wrong…I think should would probably make an excellent POTUS but if she were elected, the crazy Liberal Left would become even more unhinged.

Palin just admitted she’s not running. Her shackle comment explains why she left the Alaska Govenorship. Palin doesn’t like to work to finds solutions. She likes to complain and make statements.

If she couldn’t handle the Alaskan Govenorhip, she will not be able to handle the Presidency. She’s all talk and no action.

That just about sums her up for me. She inspires a cult like devotion from a segment of the base who is still looking for a Messiah with their shopping list litmus tests. Ronald Reagan could not win a primary with that bunch.

The modern Republican Party is full of Bible thumping Nativist bigots. They are simple minded fools who get obsessed with litmus tests. Ronald Reagan and Barry Goldwater would not recognize today’s GOP.

Personnally, I still love Sarah Palin if for the only reason that she drives the left insane. That said, Randy, MADJACK, and Susan put it very well. She’s better for us on the outside than running. She has pushed me off lately with a seemingly ego trip, but what politician doesn’t have a little of that going? Sarah, I love you and would vote for you, but now is not the time. I, personnally, don’t think she’s the one for now. Initially I thought Perry, he’s flopped, now I’m Cain all the way. We need business in government, not more entitlements. Side note: Bible Thumping Naivists bigots made this country before the Democrats and their entitlement society started to destroy it.

Everyone here who is bemoaning and complaining about Sarah Palin….pay attention! You obviously don’t seem to understand that this is a real war we/she is in. She is making tactical moves that will take her enemy off guard and allow her to be victorious. This is not a normal fight…she is fighting the elite Republicans AND the Left. Anyone who understands anything at all about her and what the REAL situation here is would and could appreciate what she is really doing here. The woman is brilliant. Trust her and you will understand all of this in the future.

Randy said: “She does a better job of forming policy and decisions by being able to get voters fired up.”

Could not have said it better and have long felt the same. She is a king/queen maker, can rally the troops and bring in the bucks, and brings subjects to the forefront. That should be her focus for this election cycle. Oh, and continuing to make liberal heads explode, of course.

I don’t know about cheerleader, but I would vote for her for Pep Squad. Possibly. I’d have to see who the other candidates are first, but sure, I might if she was the most electable.

    Oh, and seriously…?

There is no emoticon capable of expressing my opinion of this opinion, but I know it would involve laughter, convulsions, perhaps a finger pointing at the words, maybe some googly eyes, and more laughter and convulsions.

I think the main point all of you are missing is that once she can no longer obscure the fact she is not running (I don’t think she will ever formally say so), she becomes irrelvant to everyone and everything except her ardent, and shrinking, support group.
