California Teacher Penalizes Students For Saying “Bless You”…
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, it’s the militant atheists that give all non-believers a bad name.
FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — A Northern California teacher says he doesn’t want to hear a common courtesy in his classroom.
He’s even lowering students’ grades if they say “bless you” after someone sneezes.
Steve Cuckovich says the practice is disrespectful and disruptive. He’s banned saying “bless you” in his high school health class in Vacaville.
He even knocked 25 points from one student’s grade for saying the phrase in class.
Cuckovich says the policy has nothing to do with religion, but says the phrase is just a outdated practice and disrupts class time.
“When you sneezed in the old days, they thought you were dispelling evil spirits out of your body,” Cuckovich said. “So they were saying, ‘god bless you’ for getting rid of evil spirits. But today, I said what you’re doing doesn’t really make any sense anymore.”
After parents complained about students losing points for saying “bless you”, Cuckovich says he decided to stop the practice.

And he is wrong. Bless you stems from the fact if someone sneezed a lot, as with the common cold, the reply of “Bless You” was meant to help them with illness, especially since the common cold in days of old was deadly.
If saying “Bless You” when one sneezes is disruptive, is saying “Excuse Me” when one sneezes also disruptive?
Sounds right to me. Only allah-akbar should be said in schools.

Well that myth needs to be dispelled! After struggling with public school (but no longer!), I can honestly tell you that the majority of the public school teachers are total idiots and are completely incapable of an independent thought process. THAT’S RIGHT I SAID IT!
I encourage everyone I talk to; get your kids out of public school NOW! In California, before too long, the only kids left in public school will be brain dead liberals, career welfare recipients and illegal aliens.

Kids nowadays…Uufda. What with having issues of paper they write on, or the color of what marker the teacher marks grades on the papers. How do we expect these kids to go forward?
About this particular situation- Having various relatives in the teaching arena, I hear about goings-ons.
Not too long ago, while in the lunchroom, there was a kid bowing her head in silent prayer. The lunchroom monitor came along and loudly scolded the kid to refrain.
You are truly a “moonbat” (I have sympathy for your condition) – maybe you need a different career path. I would be freaked out if you were “teaching” my kids.

I think we need more diversity when it comes to the type of political parties we have running the government here in California. Someone needs to start a new California political party that can represent the people instead of special interests. Only hope I live to see that day!!!
Private and home school so idiots like this don’t have access to our kids. I’m from Wi. We had that huge ordeal with Walker wanting to get rid of union bargaining. Many of us agree the worst thing the unions did was make teachers the face of that debate. They lost so many supporters by doing so. The majority of people have little to no faith in the public school system
