Cain was spot on: This mindless “don’t think for yourself, vote Democrat” nonsense isn’t doing the black community any favors.

The second part here is, it’s really a teachable moment. You know, if I came on your show, Anderson, and I said, all Jewish people are brainwashed, I probably wouldn’t be invited back to CNN and I assure you the condemnation would be swift and it’d be powerful and be strong.
What Herman Cain said was a racist, bigoted statement and it should treated like a racist and bigoted person who makes those racist and bigoted statements.

This is problem with guys like Cornell Belcher and his ilk that have a racial chip on their shoulder. They are working and working to redefine words so that they can call anyone a racist.
Case in point, watching the video, Belcher says, “What is the definition of racism or bigotry? It is in fact putting a blanket statement on a whole group of people.”
No, Cornell Belcher. That is not correct. First off, racism and bigotry have different definitions. And the definition you gave doesn’t fit either of those. The definition given actually defines the word “prejudice,” whereas bigotry is the act of a person obstinately devoted to his or her own prejudices. Neither of these is racism, which is the belief that a given race is inherently superior to another based solely on race.
People like Cornell Belcher are more racist than your average white person because they do want to be treated differently based solely on race.

Actually, I don’t know how you can deny that Cain’s statement was racist.
It was a generalization about a group – some characteristic that they all share by virtue of being black.
And it speaks to some inherent inferiority. Whereas white folks are able to fully participate in a democracy – by making up their own minds about policies and politicians, blacks, apparently, are too feeble-minded to do so, and are “brainwashed” by the same type of propaganda that white folks are able to assess rationally.
How is this not racist? The fact that a black man said it does not change the content. It just shows what a sad and twisted man Mr. Cain is.
