Romney: Rick Perry’s Hunting Camp Is “Offensive”…

Romney’s a douche, he knows the story is BS.

(The Hill) — Mitt Romney said that the racial epithet that served as the name of Rick Perry’s Texas hunting lodge was “offensive” in a interview Monday with Sean Hannity.

“I’ve followed it from afar,” Romney said. “I think it’s offensive. I think most people think it’s offensive.”

Romney joins Herman Cain — who said that the slur was “insensitive” — in denouncing the name of the camp. But Cain backtracked from his criticism Monday after a harsh reaction from the conservative blogosphere, insisting that he was not “playing the race card.”

By wading into the controversy, Romney may also draw the ire of the right. But in drawing contrast with the conservative blogs, Romney may establish himself as more of a moderate while hitting Perry’s ties to inflammatory rhetoric — two themes his campaign will rely on in early primary states like New Hampshire.

CBS News: Documents reveal that Holder received briefing on Fast & Furious in July 2010; Update: Holder doesn’t always read his briefings

New documents obtained by CBS News show Attorney General Eric Holder was sent briefings on the controversial Fast and Furious operation as far back as July 2010. That directly contradicts his statement to Congress…

The documents came from the head of the National Drug Intelligence Center and Assistant Attorney General Lanny Breuer…

Two Justice Department officials mulled it over in an email exchange Oct. 18, 2010. “It’s a tricky case given the number of guns that have walked but is a significant set of prosecutions,” says Jason Weinstein, Deputy Assistant Attorney General of the Criminal Division. Deputy Chief of the National Gang Unit James Trusty replies “I’m not sure how much grief we get for ‘guns walking.’ It may be more like, “Finally they’re going after people who sent guns down there.”

The Justice Department told CBS News that the officials in those emails were talking about a different case started before Eric Holder became Attorney General. And tonight they tell CBS News, Holder misunderstood that question from the committee – he did know about Fast and Furious – just not the details.

Because it worked out so well for Cain.

You’d think someone who worships in the LDS church would be careful making stretched-to-the-max racist connections like this. I don’t see Perry bringing up Mitt’s Mormonism and its history, but you can be very sure the media will, just as soon as he’s declared the nominee. (G_d forbid. Oh, and Michael Steele had to weigh in, too.)

you know what, I really think its the Romney camp that planted this in the Washington Post.

As for Romney, what a P.O.S., didn’t he tie his dog to the top of the car? and when the dog vomitted, he sprayed him off.

If he’s the nominee, fine I’ll vote for him, but no way in hell will I spend 1 second campaigning for him, I’ll do it congressional candidate, but not this POS.
I’m voting for Perry, and if Perry doesn’t win it, I hope Cain does.

At least Cain is backtracking, and I still have faith he will apologize once he knows the facts and that he fell right into the trap by the MSM. As for Romney, what a POS.

As someone else pointed out–a Mormon has to have a set of brass balls to point fingers when it comes to black people. Until 1978, when Mittens was 31 years old, their church officially believed that non-whites were cursed with dark skin because they offended God and that if they followed the Mormon rules closely enough, their skin would magically get lighter. And black men were barred from holding the lay “priesthood” in their church.

  29. Chaban says:

    @ Harold: that’s absolutely right!

I get a kick out of those “conservative” experts around us who join the left and trash Palin, repeating the left’s propaganda about her supposed “shortcomings.”

As I have pointed out to a few of them, it’s got nothing to do with Palin per say. She was just the greatest threat to Obama becoming President in 2008 and so they had to destroy her.

And the second one of those bozos running for President (many of whom have stabbed Palin in the back) gets the nomination; the media’s attacks on him or her will make the 2008 campaign of destruction against Palin look like a walk in the park.

Anyway, the fact that many on our side don’t seem to get this makes me rather pessimistic about the future of this nation.

Oh and to get back to Romney… yeah… let’s say he gets the nomination (I certainly hope he doesn’t)… Mormons better be ready for the “Islam is a religion of Peace” media to trash their religion like no religion has ever been trashed before. It will be a bloodbath. Romney can look forward to all kinds of stories about his faith day in and day out. He will be wishing all he had to deal with was a freaking rock with a word you are not supposed to say on it.

    What a moron!

Anyway, don’t worry, in the meantime the media will keep referring to the Saudi pedophiliac warmonger as “THE prophet” and they will keep telling us that you can’t paint all Muslims with a broad brush.

Did he have anything to say about the murder of Brian Terry, the Ice Agent, and the 200 others killed at the hands of Obama, Holder, and Clinton in Fast and Furious? Obama’s Reichstag Fire? No, it didn’t even come up.

We’re concerned about a word on a rock, that was there when his father leased the place. They painted over it, and turned it over. What is the story here? Is this what we’re to be concerned about?

We have an impostor president, framing Americans, arming the drug cartels with assault weapons, that have killed two Americans that we know of, and 200 Mexicans, and we’re talking about a damn rock with a name on it.

Go away Mitt. Romneycare, and you believe in Global Warming. Trent Lott said you are going to win. Since he works for a lobbying firm that represents GE and Lightsquared, can we assume you can be bought?

Shame on Herman Cain, Chris Wallace, and Fox News for falling for the Washington Post race baiting story. I’ve read the entire story and watched the entire Fox News interview with Herman Cain. Everyone involved painted Rick Perry in a negative light. Shame on them. And even bigger shame on Mitt Romney, although I expect it from him.

According to the story, the rock was seen by many people, none of whom did anything about it until Rick Perry and his dad got rid of the offensive word. This was way back in 1983 or 1984 right after they signed the hunting lease. And remember, this rock was on land they didn’t even own. It wasn’t their responsibility, yet they were the only ones who showed good judgement and took action to correct a wrong. And what do they get for their troubles? They get slandered by Herman Cain, Romney, and the media. I think Herman Cain and Romney owe Rick Perry an apology.
