Herman Cain: Call Me a “Black American” Not “African-American”…

Screw Obama, Herman Cain is the role model black Americans have been looking for.

My roots go back through slavery in this country. Yes, they came from Africa, but the roots of my heritage are in the United States of America, so I consider myself a black American.

I never use hyphenated American identifications and don’t care for the black American descriptive either. After all, it is fairly obvious.

This will enrage Obama who lives a pretend existence where his father was a great Kenyan freedom fighter, but Barry is somehow descended from slaves of white people or something.

vagabond – I agree with you. It would have been EVEN better if he had described himself as an “American”.

Hallelujah! At long, long last a candidate is calling bullshit on the PC term “African American”. A racially divisive term invented by the commiecrat propaganda media to perpetuate the image of black Americans as victims. Same goes for Hispanic American, Chinese American, and Irish American and so on. Either you are an American or you are not.

Cain has my vote in 2012; remember the two rules for the 2012 election:

Rule #1: ABO – Anybody But Obama

Rule #2: ABR – Anybody But Romney

If we follow these two rules we will as a country swiftly get well again.

I just hope that Mr. Cain will bring it to the front and show America just
how much Obama is un-American in everything he say’s and does….

This President is like a festering soar across America and continues to lower
the standard that we hold so dear and hates all the things that has made our
great country what it is today……He must be defeated in 2012 by a real man
or woman who truly loves our country and believes in our constitution and
    our freedom to govern ourselves……

And so, Cain has locked in the hate of 99% of Americans who are black. Why, the nerve of this guy making something of himself without the ‘help’ of Jesse, Al, and etc.

Without the help of the african American elite (Jesse and the boys), do you ever notice no one in sports ever thinks about the skin color of the players? I don’t. They can either run the ball, sink the ball, put the ball, or they’re out. Those players are confident but they’re either good enough to compete or the teams will find somebody else. Why is it that every other profession or job where blacks are employed feels like they have a corner on the grievance market?

I believe that Candidate Cain would do his very best to remove some of those excuses and stigmas.

    AWESOME!!

Im SO sick of hyphenated names. Being a minority doesnt make you special. Either you are an American, or you are not. Im not a European-American, or a caucasian-American.
    Im an American.

About time we start holding blacks to the same standard. Conservative blacks agree with this.

I never understood the appeal of tying your heritage to Africa. There are reasons it’s know as “third world”. There isn’t much there I’d be proud of.

Lets for once put a real, man,American, a non politician and a conservative in as a leader that can get us back on the right track, we have a long row to hoe and it not going to be easy.

But we have to get started working at getting the USA back on top, so we can give our kids a good future, not load them down with TAXES.

Obama is wasting our money flying to his rich buddies for big money donations, we have to defeat him, I would like to see us do this door to door, you tell a neighbor, they tell a neighbor and so on.

Lets show DC, what, We the People, can do for the least amount of money, what we have been doing our whole life’s, they say Herman Cain can never make it, he doesn’t have the backing the politicians do.

    Cain/West 2012

Good point. I consider myself just a plain-old “American”- I don’t need to add identifiers to create exclusiveness or separation. I’d prefer to concentrate on what we all share in common (being Americans) than putting some BS chip on my shoulder and whining about being a victim; I have much better things to do.

Seems like some nice little guy in diapers use to say, “Divisions invite collisions”.

That said, I do admire Cain for making his point. Not enough to vote for him as President, though. I want more than a pizza CEO/ Fed Reserve wank to lead my country. Sorry- I demand more from my government than a rah-rah hero.

Cain is a proud American and isn’t looking to play the cards. He knows he isn’t a victim and he knows what lazy is. He should be a measuer of pride to the black Americans as he is of higher standing than MLK. He works hard and doesn’t just “…have a dream…” He’s out front and center alone and doesn’t have a bunch of people hanging on waiting for orders.

We would expect so much from him that he needs to have someone with a set up like Bachman as his VP or visa versa…the two of them would be able to multi-task and put right what our constitution demands of a Republic with Democratic ideals.

What is wrong with recognizing your ancestral roots? Blacks did not just come out of thin air. They did not only began to exist when they were brought here to America as slaves! Black people have an incredible history that goes beyond the shores of America. Only a fool would began his history with being brought into slavery. Whites love Cain because he makes them feel like he is happy that they brought his people to America as slaves. This is why he says my history began when you good white people took us hostage.

I’ll call Mr Cain Sir, he deserves all of our respect, unlike the Obama, who call us names, tries to marginalize us because we don’t approve of his attempt to Socialize the US, and trying to take away our rights. Mr Cain is a patriot, Obama is trying to destroy the US, and turn it into the USSA!
