Top Obama Campaign Executive: We Should Be “Proud” of Obama For “Ending Divisive War In Iraq” — No Mention of Victory, Troops Sacrifice…

Would it kill Team Obama to acknowledge the amazing job our troops did in Iraq?

From: James Kvaal, BarackObama.com
Subject: The end of the war in Iraq
Date: October 22, 2011 4:52:43 PM EDT
Reply-To: info@barackobama.com

Drew —

I’m James Kvaal, the new policy director for President Obama’s 2012 campaign. You’ll be hearing from me occasionally about the President’s policies and those of our opponents, and how we can all help bring about change for our country.

Yesterday, we accomplished one major change when President Obama announced that all American troops in Iraq will be home before the holidays.

With that action, the Iraq war will end. And one of the President’s central promises will have been kept.

Both as Americans and as supporters of President Obama, this is something for us to reflect on, and be proud of.

The war in Iraq was a divisive, defining issue in our country for nearly nine years, and was the catalyst for many Americans to get involved in politics for the first time.

Now, thanks to the actions of this President, we can say that conflict is coming to a close.

The end of this war reflects a larger transition in our foreign policy as, in the President’s words, “the tide of war is receding.” The drawdown in Iraq has allowed us to refocus on the fight against al Qaeda, even as we begin to bring troops home from Afghanistan. And of course, this week also marked the definitive end of the Qaddafi regime in Libya.

These outcomes are an example of what happens when a leader sets a plan and sees it through. In the last campaign, the President committed to getting American troops home while leaving behind a stable and secure Iraq. You rallied around that vision, and now that promise has been fulfilled.

On behalf of this campaign and supporters of the President across the country, I want to thank the more than 1 million Americans who have served in Iraq [that’s all the troops got for recognition — ed.], and all those who worked to make this possible.

Thanks,

James

James Kvaal
Policy Director
Obama for America

It’s almost like they’re forgetting to tell people the Iraq war was already over when Obama took office.

In other wars other than Nam, veterans were welcomed home with ticker tape parades, these patriots are going to be welcomed home with an Obama parade where food stamps are used in lieu of ticker tape…

Welcome home Patriots, mission well done, America loves you!

Interesting….By the way….was it an oversight that Obama did not mention President Bush.

As I recall candidate Obama wanted to leave Iraq three years ago…and only the success of Petraus turned the tide…which now allow the president to take a victory lap.

Such it is for people whose careers circumvent accomplishments but still present themselves as people of achievement.

Let’s see what he will do when Libya, Egypt and soon Syria go from bad to worse….

Thank you to every patriot who served, those who paid the ultimate price, those who are injured and have to deal with those injuries for a lifetime and thank you to the families who sacrifice more than is ever acknowledged by the liberal America loathing American press. Thank you to the troops and their families.

    Obama’s ‘Sheer Ineptitude’
By Carole on Oct 22, 2011

President Barack Obama has failed again. This time he demonstrated his incompetence when, after nine years of American sacrifice that freed the Iraqi people from a murderous regime and protected them through their first years of democracy, he could not convince Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki to allow any US military forces to remain in his country.

In announcing the complete withdrawal of American troops from Iraq by the end of the year, Mr. Obama declared, “Our troops in Iraq will definitely be home for the holidays.” Despite the warm and fuzzy World War II-ish spin, it is yet another Obama screw up.

Former Massachusetts Governor and GOP presidential contender Mitt Romney issued the following statement in response to the news, “President Obama’s astonishing failure to secure an orderly transition in Iraq has unnecessarily put at risk the victories that were won through the blood and sacrifice of thousands of American men and women. The unavoidable question is whether this decision is the result of a naked political calculation or simply sheer ineptitude in negotiations with the Iraqi government. The American people deserve to hear the recommendations that were made by our military commanders in Iraq.”

Based on our Candidate-in-Chief’s track record, there is little doubt that the timing of the announcement and withdrawal are at least partly based on “naked political calculation” but Mr. Romney was wrong in assuming this is an either/or situation. Mr. Obama’s “sheer ineptitude in negotiations” is also on prominent display as the administration pushed for months to keep thousands of US troops in Iraq only to have talks irrevocably break down over the issue of giving those troops immunity from Iraqi prosecution.

After almost 4,500 American lives were lost and hundreds of billions of dollars were spent in Iraq, President Obama could not successfully negotiate an agreement that would insure those sacrifices and expenditures were not made in vain. With the complete removal of any American military presence in Iraq, the door is wide open for what Congresswoman and presidential candidate Michele Bachmann (R-Minnesota) called, “the strengthening of Iran’s influence in Iraq with no plan to counter that influence.”

No plan indeed. At least not one Barack Obama has the skills to implement effectively.

“No plan indeed. At least not one Barack Obama has the skills to implement effectively.”

I think that’s because Barry’s negotiating skills etc are always honed in for his political gains, whether it hurts America or not is secondary consideration, if at all.

I remember reading one book about George Washington’s military and governing skills, and how he didn’t care about his reputation, but his men, and the country he was creating, he would be very astute and very protective of it, his reputation, his power, he never seemed to care about at all, as a result, the fledging country and its citizens could tasted the freedoms that others paid such a heavy price for.

Guys I’m going to be meddlesome for a few moments with these bits of thought and then who all you are can go back to wasting each others’ time.

#1) Being baptized does not necessarily mean everything spiritually. Yeah, I’ll catch flack for saying that. My point is that if I stand in a garage that doesn’t make me a car.

#2) Rev. Wright is no more a “reverend” than what Jesse Jackson is a “reverend”. Sure, maybe the one has a verifiable diploma stating so & so schooling to be a reverend compared to the latter one, but they are both in the same dump on “non-reverendness”

#3) Whether a person wants to dwadle more time as to the Muzziness or non-Muzziness of said President, there is an endless stream of questions surrounding him. From the people he has hob-nobbed, to his education, etc….

OK. I’m done with my righteous rant.

I will have to say that there are some on this post that are very skilled and practiced in the art of insult, nastiness and vituperation. Also very adroit with profanities. Impressive, really. I heard more politeness in jail. Yeah, I’m a criminal – BS traffic charge – I admit it. Vacuous and inane interchanges.

Oh,yeah. I got lost in the entertainment section. I originally meant to offer the thought that maybe the Rothschilds simply view the campaign as having reached the point of diminishing returns. So Soros gets his orders and has the King start another war in Libya ( http://tinyurl.com/3zjeze4) and a mini adventure in Uganda to put an umbrella over Soros’ oil interests.

    Just found this: http://israelagainstterror.blogspot.com/2011/10/how-obama-botched-iraq-withdrawal.html

Quote: “The problem, as described by most media sources, was Prime Minister Maliki’s inability to convince his government to allow American forces to remain and receive immunity from the capriciousness of Iraqi justice.

    Rogin has a different story:

Sullivan was one of 40 conservative foreign policy professionals who wrote to Obama in September to warn that even a residual force of 4,000 troops would “leave the country more vulnerable to internal and external threats, thus imperiling the hard-fought gains in security and governance made in recent years at significant cost to the United States.”

She said that the administration’s negotiating strategy was flawed for a number of reasons: it failed to take into account Iraqi politics, failed to reach out to a broad enough group of Iraqi political leaders, and sent contradictory messages on the troop extension throughout the process.

“From the beginning, the talks unfolded in a way where they largely driven by domestic political concerns, both in Washington and Baghdad. Both sides let politics drive the process, rather than security concerns,” said Sullivan. “Etc.

Fusterisms translated: “was given scholarships for 8 more years..”—got eight years in the pen. “20 miles from his high school” —-still in the penitentiary located within 20 miles of his former institute of highest learning and most likely didn’t graduate from, or he may be out on parole.

Whether Obama is a Muslim or not there is one thing is for certain…he is a big government, political elitist that thinks the fundamentals of what America is founded upon are wrong while he panders to the Islamic factions abroad and at home. He subscribes to Social Marxist ideologies for his own gain and power and has evidenced total and complete disdain for our Constitution when it does not abide with his overreach for power and control. He lacks leadership skill, economic understanding and even the basic ability to understand what the American dream even is as it must be learned from the successes and failures only gleaned through the experiences derived from working in the free market. This is not a new fight, this is a fight that has lingered for nearly 100years, the fight to control our Nation. Like Pavlov’s dog Obama has been created by the Progressive Liberal masses, the dinner bell for them is your liberties.
