   Here’s something else that might contribute to a few arrests in Oakland: a declaration has been passed to occupy abandoned property owned by city, banks, and corporations, turning them into “resource centers toward meeting urgent community needs”.

    Once again I am wondering the same things you are. Someone must have leaned on her pretty hard; can you imagine any politician putting these quotes in writing: 1) “I say ban the banks and abolish money”, or 2) “Let us not only shut the city down. Let us take it over and run it in a wholly new way”? Or her twice mentioning William Benbow, who advocated violent revolution.

    Meanwhile, Occupy Oakland has put out an emergency request for ABC fire extinguishers. They can’t have fuel or fires at the campsites so I’m assuming they will be used somehow during the strike.

    Those fireworks were shit.All blowed up in short minutes and all at the same time.It was almost like a ‘FORCED’ victory lap.
    Guess what? , the ows protests all around the world are a failure , just like the fireworks display.Also , clean up the parks commies!
