Video: Stephen Colbert Visits Occupy Wall Street Dressed As Che Guevara…

Even better, the Occupiers chose a woman who goes by the name “Ketchup” as one of their spokespeople.

Bonus: Down twinkles makes an appearance at the 2:00 mark.

Three tomatoes are walking down the street- a poppa tomato, a momma tomato, and a little baby tomato.

Baby tomato starts lagging behind. Poppa tomato gets angry, goes over to the baby tomato, and smooshes him… and says, “Ketchup!”

Is Ketchup, John Heinz Kerrys step-daughter?

Oh how I so hope that more and more of these types of interviews take place.

The scary part is the guy (Justin Wedes) is one of the main organizers of Occupy. He was “chosen” by the people to speak with Colbert? I suspect he chose himself.

I love this… Colbert clearly demonstrates just how insane and utterly clueless these morons are.. Their pretend society with it’s point of orders, blocks and consensus gestures are like kids playing make believe.

And Ketchup is a gem…a excellent poster child for the results of a Progressive education on a weak minded, almost somnambulant, overly coddled, greedy malcontent.

@ Katherine. What you said. Spot on.

And I will agree with Colbert on the fact that they act like a cult. Do they not know he is mocking them mercilessly? Or are they in on the gag? Somehow I think they are completely serious, and Ru is right.

Now the feeble brained persons threaten to kill Colbert. From the Colbertnation comment section:

“Steven Colbert, though he claims to be a comedian, should be lynched in the most excruciating way possible for what he is doing to the OWS movement. It’s bad enough the movement is having to fight corporate propaganda, he takes it to a new, horrifying low.”

  28. Rob says:
    November 1, 2011 at 4:51 pm

first… its a consensus… and no one speaks for them…

then ‘ketchup’ becomes a facilitator… and controls the dialogue

    its all just mental masturbation

time to kick the ‘love-in’… out

  29. Dex Sinister says:
    November 1, 2011 at 4:51 pm

Oh heavens, that was lovely and hilarious.

@Katherine – I quite agree: It’s like they’re ants, waving their feelers and trying to vote on whether to storm the picnic table.

“B-b-b-b-but people are MEAN and they’re keeping their own stuff and not giving it AWAY to people who NEED it.”

Of course, Ketchup is totally oppressed by the college degree that she has, or is getting, which enables her to be articulate enough to attempt to not speak for the movement.

  32. mu1etrain says:

That was hilarious! The thing I like about Colbert is that he is totally agnostic in terms of what kind of people and politics he will roast on. Nobody is safe. I can take a joke so I don’t mind when he goes the other way with it. People who can’t take a joke (like these two) are always wet blankets to be around and he straight up clowned those two.

  33. Logic Mine says:

  34. Maggie says:

Perhaps Mzz. Ketchup’s time and energy would be better spent is she actually went around the world where all these poor people are starving (etc.) and protest their governments keeping them down and hungry. Demand to know what has happened to all the U.S. and U.N. money that has been given to those countries for the people. Where is the food that has been sent to Somalia and the Sudan. How about it, Ketchup? Hop a flight and go give those governments down twinkles and your supreme point of order. See how far you get over there.

“Ketchup” is supposedly a twenty-two year old from Chicago according to this article:
“OWS: Up close and personal, origins, history, and overcoming of difficulties
    “

“Caucuses also grew up in the encampment, including a “Speak Easy caucus.” “That’s a caucus I started,” Ketchup said. “It is for a broad spectrum of individuals from female-bodied people who identify as women to male-bodied people who are not traditionally masculine. That’s called the ‘Speak Easy’ caucus. I was just talking to a woman named Sharon who’s interested in starting a caucus for people of color.

“A caucus gives people a safe space to talk to each other without people from the culture of their oppressors present. It gives them greater power together, so that if the larger group is taking an action that the caucus felt was specifically against their interests, then the caucus can block that action. Consensus can potentially still be reached after a caucus blocks something, but a block, or a ‘paramount objection,’ is really serious. You’re saying that you are willing to walk out.”

snort, chortle, cough cough . . .good luck with that.

“without people from the culture of their oppressors present”…….

What little ketchup is trying so hard to hide in her verbosity is: the racist blacks don’t want whitey around too much..messin’ up their game.

One thing (among the millions) little Ketchup doesn’t understand regarding a ‘true democracy’ is that the minorities will always lose in the end. Particularly when you split people up into colors, hues and genitalia. This causes people to separate and provide loyalty to completely arbitrary traits rather than ideas.

These people are going to end up eating themselves.
