Romney Says Sexual Harassment Allegations Against Cain Should Be “Addressed Seriously”…

Mittens doesn’t realize it but he’s helping Cain by making statements like this, he’s not exactly the most beloved candidate among the base.

(The Hill) — Mitt Romney responded for the first time Tuesday to allegations that have been raised against fellow Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain, emphasizing the seriousness of the claims.

“These are serious allegations, and they’re going to have to be addressed seriously,” Romney said in an online interview with ABC News and Yahoo.

Referring to Sharon Bialek, the first of Cain’s accusers to speak publicly about past alleged sexual harassment, Romney said, “This woman’s charges are particularly disturbing and they’re serious.”

Romney and Cain are the front-runners for the GOP presidential nomination, with polls showing them running neck-and-neck in the race. Cain had surpassed Romney in the polls before the allegations were reported last week and, in polling taken since then, his numbers have not taken a hit.

Cain has denied the allegations and sent a letter to supporters Monday evening slamming the media for “going bananas” over a fundamentally “unserious” story.

The Cain campaign just sent out this statement:

As Ms. Sharon Bialek has placed herself in the public spotlight through making patently false allegations against Herman Cain, it is only fair to compare her track record alongside Mr. Cain’s.

In stark contrast to Mr. Cain’s four decades spent climbing the corporate ladder rising to the level of CEO at multiple successful business enterprises, Ms. Bialek has taken a far different path.

The fact is that Ms. Bialek has had a long and troubled history, from the courts to personal finances – which may help explain why she has come forward 14 years after an alleged incident with Mr. Cain, powered by celebrity attorney and long term Democrat donor Gloria Allred.

In the courts, Ms. Bialek has had a lengthy record in the Cook County Court system over various civil lawsuits. The following cases on file in Cook County are:

    · 2000-M1-707461 Defendant against Broadcare Management

    · 2000-M1-714398 Defendant in lawsuit against Broadcare Management

    · 2000-M1-701522 Defendant in lawsuit against Broadcare Management

    · 2005-M1-111072 Defendant in lawsuit against Mr. Mark Beatovic.

    · 2007-M1-189176 Defendant in lawsuit against Midland Funding.

    · 2009-M1-158826 Defendant in lawsuit against Illinois Lending.

Ms. Bialek was also sued in 1999 over a paternity matter according to ABC 7 Chicago (WLS-TV). Source: WLS-TV, November 7, 2011

In personal finances, PACER (Federal Court) records show that Ms. Bialek has filed for bankruptcy in the Northern District of Illinois bankruptcy court in 1991 and 2001. The respective case numbers according to the PACER system are 1:01-bk-22664 and 1:91-bk-23273.

Ms. Bialek has worked for nine employers over the last seventeen years. Source: WLS-TV, November 7, 2011

Curiously, if Ms. Bialek had intended to take legal action, the statute of limitations would have passed a decade ago.

Which brings up the question of why she would make such reprehensible statements now?

The questions should be – who is financing her legal team, have any media agreed to pay for her story, and has she been offered employment for taking these actions?

Did you upgrade her hotel room?
Did you end up in a car with her?
Did you put your hand up her skirt?

This is proof that Romney is part of the vast right- and left-wing conspiracy to frame Herman Cain, which conspiracy dates back to the mid-’90s when the two controlling political parties in the US saw Cain on their joint radar and feared him because he is a strong, intelligent leader. Consequently, they paid two women to file false and frivolous sexual harassment charges against him, knowing they could use the two cases in the future to ruin Cain’s reputation when he ran for president.

    How devious.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herman_Cain

Cain publicly opposed the Clinton health care plan of 1993. As president-elect of the National Restaurant Association, he challenged Bill Clinton on the costs of the employer mandate contained within the bill and criticized its effect on small businesses. Bob Cohn of Newsweek described Cain as one of the primary opponents of the plan:

The Clintons would later blame “Harry and Louise”, the fictional couple in the ads aired by the insurance industry, for undermining health reform. But the real saboteurs are named Herman and John. Herman Cain is the president of Godfather’s Pizza and president-elect of the National Restaurant Association. An articulate entrepreneur, Cain transformed the debate when he challenged Clinton at a town meeting in Kansas City, Missouri. Cain asked the president what he was supposed to say to the workers he would have to lay off because of the cost of the “employer mandate”. Clinton responded that there would be plenty of subsidies for small businessmen, but Cain persisted. “Quite honestly, your calculation is inaccurate,” he told the president. “In the competitive marketplace it simply doesn’t work that way.”[53]

Joshua Green of The Atlantic has called Cain’s exchange with Clinton his “auspicious debut on the national political stage”.[54]

Conservative politician and former Housing Secretary Jack Kemp was so impressed with Cain’s performance that he chartered a plane to Nebraska to meet Cain after the debate. Cain credits Kemp with his becoming interested in politics.[55]

Tylutki et al v. Aquila, Inc. et al, 4:04-cv-01058-SOW (named as defendant)
Maybe Cain should not be pointing out other people’s propensity to be sued, considering that it might be attention to how ‘troubled’ his own legal background is.
Cain was sued five times because as a member of the board of directors of Aquila, he actively encouraged employees to sink their money into company stock. Cain managed the company badly, managed the retirement accounts in a way that went against federal law, and bankrupted a whole lot of people. The five suits were eventually folded into one class action, and they had to pay out 10.5 million to the people they screwed–probably more important to talk about than this little five figure settlements.
Yeah, I don’t think legal troubles are a can of worms Cain wants to open.”

Mitt Romney………… This is the guy that Herman Cain openly and oh so conveniently blamed – along with Rick Perry – for disclosing the story about Cain’s TWO affidavit charged and in camera complaints against himself for which the NRA paid out over $80,000.00 to the two women that Politico revealed TEN days before the stories hit the streets for which Cain fiercely denied over and over and over, again, and again and again…………. Cute.
Then, changed his tune (imagine that), claiming via the ad nauseum blame game (imagine that) and race card (yet again) that he seemed to recall “something”, but not anything else. Later, as more of the facts became evident and it was more than clear that neither the Romney nor Perry campaign had anything to do with the stories (imagine that) for which again, Politico gave Herman “I have a dream” Cain and his canned speech train a TEN days heads-up, Cain started to realize he’d boxed himself into a corner and admitted to knowing more.
Now, with his legions of beyond negrocentric fixated myopic urine, I mean water carrying and Cain Aid swilling myopatrons, I mean supporters, he’s still tying to worm himself out of the paucity of truth. Imagine that?!?

And Romney is hurting his campaign by stating that this matter ought to be seriously addressed?

From Washington Insider a few days ago:
“Insider: The story is growing beyond the borders of Herman Cain – it is being used now to paint the GOP field. That kind of infighting…that simply cannot be allowed to happen. The stakes are far too high. Whoever is chosen as the nominee – all of you need to stand behind them. Every single vote opposed to Barack Obama needs to join together. I cannot stress that enough. Millions upon millions are gonna be spent dividing the Republican party against itself. That is already underway. Don’t trust one godd-mn word you read on those message things of yours – the Facebook stuff. I bet the farm you got Obama operatives posting on there. You know that, right? I still say you’d be much better off shutting that thing down. And they are all over the place. They got a plan in place – probably already underway, thousands of people attempting to form the message in favor of Obama. An entire online only operation to compliment the mainstream media,Hollywood…everything. That’s why I am telling anyone I can that once the GOP nominee is chosen – you all gotta put whatever differences you might have now and focus everything on making Barack Obama a one-termer. They – the Obama machine…they are counting on that not happening.”

Whether you believe there really is a WH Insider what is being said makes sense. The Repubs do not need to tear each other apart. The leftist MSM will gladly do it for them. Regardless of who wins, the important thing is that Obama loses. ABO must be our goal.

It probably will not be too long before a woman or two comes forward with a verifiable story of a consensual extramarital affair with Mr. Cain. These allegations seem to indicate a pattern of behaviour, and the man had to have been successful with at least one or two women over this length of time. Someone is in the wings waiting for the big money to tell her side of the sordid tale. The truth will come out soon enough. Just ask former Senators Gary Hart(pence) or John Edwards how easy it is to keep the National Enquirer off this sort of story. Cain won’t last a week after his Donna Rice and Rielle Hunter photos get published.

They are so afraid of Herman and stopping him the only way they know how, because they can’t take him in a fair fight, so they hope to fool the sheeple.

To bad none of it is true, and she has a great history of failing

    @Rupaula

I think the allegations should be addressed existentially.

Thank goodness I have no dog in this fight. However, I do believe that Cain has made a mistake in going after this woman in this way. He should have done what I suggested earlier: just open all the doors, tell his side and demand that everyone involved take a lie detector test. In the meantime, let someone else publically castigate this woman with the facts of her background.

I have no doubt that this entire fiasco was created by the Left. This Bialek woman’s charges are completely unprovable and the other women’s complaints don’t rise to the legal meaning of sexual harassment. But every time Cain responds either defensively or by trying to ignore it completely he gives the accusers more traction.
