“Private conversation?” It was the leaders of two countries having a conversation with live mics. That is not a private conversation, even if they did not know the mics were live. Anyone with brains should know that you do not have a “private” conversation anywhere near a microphone.

Even if I were willing to give him a pass and let him claim he thought the conservation was private I would still like to know WHAT THE HECK he considers appropriate when he is truly behind closed doors. The other big problem here is this gives the diplomatic corps a green light for this type of talk as long as they make sure the mikes are off. If this is the Obama administration foreign policy then stand up and claim it like a man. If not they need to do some of their famous, frequent Obama personal, in person bowing and apologizing right away to Netanyahu.
