The CBO has already proven itself to be either staffed with idiots or firmly under the Democratic Party’s thumb.

Does anyone know what the REAL unemployment rate is without all the tweaking of the numbers? I have heard somewhere in the 17% range, with certain groups (blacks, teens) being much higher. Seems like the real numbers should be reported, not the cooked numbers.
If the CBO is in obama’s pocket and even they are reporting a sustained 9% rate, then you know things are horrible.

Here’s a thought, how about jettisoning the pertinent “current laws” and all of their advocates, which could include lobbyists, congresscreeps, and their filthy lawyers in one cleansing helicopter drop over the North Atlantic and just say it’s “For the Children” of the unemployed?
Hickster
@MN Jim- I had heard something to that effect as well. Somewhere in the 15-17% range.

A real conservative needs to be nominated to defeat Osmugface.
If another kinder, gentler Bush I, a Bob Dole or John McCain is nominated i.e. a moderate, we’re looking at a disaster to our country to the 10th power.
FDR was re-elected the third time after eightyears with unemployment numbers in the double digits!!!!

Gosh – seems like it is just like reporting the inflation number by leaving out energy and food………..

Here’s the CBO Summary for 2011-2021. I’m sure some of you folks can decipher it better than I, but the two things I notice are a prediction of 8.2% unemployment this time next year and a 2.0 Consumer Price Index from 2013 to 2016. Both of those numbers are going to have an impact on the election and next administration.
Can’t the Annointed One issue an edict declaring unemployment eliminated? I believe the rate to be higher than 18 percent if you could factor in all the self-employed that are out of work. They(we) are invisible to the govmt, except at tax time.
Hening
That’s the best case scenario

Bam has re-election in the bag with Big Union running the voting machines and counting the votes. It worked for Harry Reid.

Unemployment will increase, unexpectedly, right after this little Christmas bump that the geiuii have all forgotten happens every year.
So, I disagree. It will not stay at 9%.

What’s Boehner up to now a days——- 9% unemployment one of the many fantasy of the dolts in Washington DC

Oh they’ll be happy for 9% unemployment. I think worse is right around corner. Why? Because I just heard a bunch of analysts say “we are not heading for another recession.” I didn’t know we were even out of the first one?
