Pakistan: Mosque Cleric Denounces Terrorism, Promptly Gunned Down By The Taliban…
NOWSHERA: A mosque cleric was shot dead by militants in Nowshera District, after resisting their attempts to preach terrorism in his mosque Police said.
Obaidullah Ustad, imam of the Shaidu village mosque in Nowshera had earlier stopped militants from preaching “terrorist values” at the mosque. “It was because of this resistance that the militants returned later in the evening and shot him inside the mosque” District Police Officer (DPO)Muhammad Hussein said while speaking to The Express Tribune.
Obaidullah was severely injured and rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries hospital authorities said. Sources said that the militants wanted to have access to the mosque and use it as a base to find new recruits. The militants reportedly belonged to the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
Nowshera and its surrounding area have been the hub of militant activities in the recent past. On October 28, a suicide bomber claimed the life of two police officers as he attempted to target Ajmir Shah, the SHO who had started a massive operation against militants in the area.

Why don’t the people there rise up against these militants (they know who they are) and do a search and destroy mission. Otherwise, this is just going to continue..until the militants outnumber the non-militants and there is no resistance left.
And yes, before anyone scolds me, I know they are all somewhat crazy. But this man at least tried, and the community should have known the militants would be back to kill him.
This reminds me of the gangs who run entire neighborhoods, the citizens who far outnumber the gangs do nothing, but cry and moan over their lot in life while refusing to testify or stand up against the gangs.
Cowardice carries a big price, as does appeasement.

There is only one kind of Muslim…. they call themselves MUSLIMS.
Just because they don’t openly support terrorism, doesn’t mean they don’t approve of it.

Very sad about this imam & the community. The TTP is just brutal. I can’t even imagine how hard it must be to take out the TTP. There’s the geography, for one thing. And of course the Al Qaeda backing, for another. So weird, Hakimullah has such an awesome smile, sparkly eyes, then to watch in another video as he slices someone’s neck, or stands nonchalantly as they shoot down Colonel Imam.

Can you imagine hardline christians doing that – killing a preacher for not totting the line of say – we are at war with moozies??? It would be front page news day in and out but this where the jihadists killed the so called moderate moozies – silence………. but MSMs have no cajones to report anything about pisslam or attacks by black hoodies around the country for that matter….

Thank you for your response. I feel good about it. I’ve never before been able to get you to respond to me (not directly anyway).
The moment the cleric wanted to separate the violence against non-Muslims from the “religion”, he ceased to be a Muslim himself and deserved to die. Not everyone in his mosque were willing to kill him, but there were plenty of willing volunteers.
Pretty simple stuff to understand, if you’re willing to be disgusted.
Not all muslims are active terrorists, only the devout ones…

That’s the way it usually is.
1. Even if we should assume that most Pakis don’t support terrorism (which most probably is NOT the case), they are not explicitly against it.
2. Those who are against terror, are by nature peace loving people. So, besides for them being in the minority, they don’t have the mental, physical or financial means, to arm themselves and fight the Taliban effectively.
3. When it’s the government themselves who are arming the terror groups, what can the citizens do?
The Cleric was killed because he violated the teachings of Mohammad the pedophile and Allah the moon rock god. The cleric’s people cannot complain for if they did they would be going against their own religion they know it.
