Numerous videos and images of police violently cracking down against peaceful OccupyWallStreet (OWS) protestors have gone viral in recent weeks.


The latest? A YouTube clip of a cop in riot gear emptying a canister of pepper spray into the faces of seated college protestors at UC Davis in California.



The incident is sparking outrage across the ‘Net, with the Davis Faculty Association (DFA) calling for the immediate resignation of Chancellor Katehi.

“The Chancellor’s authorization of the use of police force to suppress the protests by students and community members speaking out on behalf of our university and public higher education generally represents a gross failure of leadership,” the DFA wrote in an official statement.

Dem Pollsters: Obama Should Abandon Run for Second Term and Turn Over the Reins to Hillary

Democrat pollsters Doug Schoen and Pat Caddell think Barack Obama should turn over the reins to Hillary and abandon an attempt at a second term.
Won’t happen.
The National Journal reported:

President Obama should abandon his run for a second term and turn over the reins of the Democratic Party to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, two one-time Democratic pollsters wrote in Monday’s Wall Street Journal, which appeared online Sunday.

Patrick H. Caddell and Douglas E. Schoen argued that just as Harry Truman and Lyndon Johnson decided not to pursue additional runs though they could have, Obama should do the same.

“He should abandon his candidacy for re-election in favor of a clear alternative, one capable not only of saving the Democratic Party, but more important, of governing effectively and in a way that preserves the most important of the president’s accomplishments. He should step aside for the one candidate who would become, by acclamation, the nominee of the Democratic Party: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton,”Caddell and Schoen wrote.
