CNN’s Piers Morgan And Husband of Gabby Giffords Slam Palin For Not Apologizing For Something She Had Nothing To Do With…

Pathetic, absolutely pathetic.

(Daily Mail) — Mark Kelly has spoken candidly about the moment he learned his wife, Arizona congresswoman Gabby Giffords, was shot at a voting event in Tuscon — and his disappointment at not having been contacted by Sarah Palin following the tragedy.

In a guest appearance on last night’s CNN Piers Morgan Tonight show, the husband and father berated Ms Palin’s irresponsibility, while Mr Morgan said he found her lack of contact ‘extraordinary.’

Recalling the horrific moments he learned of the fatal shooting in January — and the ensuing misinformation that led him to believe his wife had been killed — the co-author of Gabby: A Story of Courage and Hope revealed that he believed his wife’s strength saved her.

But it was the lack of any contact from former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin that was ‘surprising’ said Mr Kelly.

Citing the book, Mr Morgan said that it revealed some ‘interesting insights’ into’political colleagues and people that [Gabby Giffords] had worked for and against.’

Speaking about a map for which Palin was responsible, with crosshairs over certain states including Arizona, Mr Morgan said that the Alaskan ‘doesn’t come out of this very well, I don’t think, because there was a woman who at the time had been putting these crosshair things on her website and stuff, including Gabby,’ he said.

After learning that Ms Giffords, 41, and Mr Kelly, ‘were never contacted’ by Ms Palin following the fatal shooting, Mr Morgan is incredulous.

‘In her haste to take no responsibility, [she] didn’t even bother to pick the phone up, to write, to do anything.

‘I find that extraordinary,’ he said.

Mr Kelly, 47, agrees: ‘Yeah, I was surprised too. You know, certainly the targets that she put over Gabby’s and other people’s districts, in our opinion, was not the right thing to do. She is not the first person to do that. And it hasn’t always been Republicans that have done that.’

It’s pointless to argue rationally with these people – they just KNOW that they are morally immaculate, and that all conservatives are “far right” and evil.

A deranged leftie shoots his wife, and this means that conservatives are to blame.

The time for talking to these smug shits is long past.

“In her haste to take no responsibility, [she] didn’t even bother to pick the phone up, to write, to do anything.”

“In her haste to take no responsibility”? Think about what this statement implies.

If some nut job tries to take the life of a public political figure, is every opponent or politician who had previously criticized that person’s policies obligated to either backtrack, or offer condolences by mail or phone (Sarah Palin expressed her condolences publicly right after the shooting) — or risk being considered at least vaguely complicit if they do not?

First Kelly criticizes John Boehner for not calling, now he essentially agrees with Morgan’s judgment of Palin?

Out of what I presume were at least many thousands of calls, cards and other messages that Giffords received — her husband, nearly a year after the incident, now feels the need to make public note of politicians who DIDN’T send personal messages?

With respect to Rocketman’s assessment above, pardon me if I’ve missed something, but to me, this smacks of either petty indignation or the continued political exploitation of a personal tragedy. I would expect more from a man of such great accomplishment.

Should we now ban actual websites with real cross hairs. On them ie: acutal companies that sell scopes such as Leupold, Nikon, Bushnell, Zeiss, Redfield, Sightron, Weaver, Trijicon, Burris, Kahles, EOTech Laser Sights. I am sure they have cross hairs also, so in your thinking arnt these sites also culpable ?
Help me mr. Kelly to follow your skewed logic here. because
I really didnt follow this story much except to the facts where the left tryed so hard to make the acutal shooter a right wing nut job, while in fact he was a commie manafesto reading lefty freak. So unless Palin was gabby’s doctor
Just how in the heck is Palin responsensible for having to inform you… her husbund any information at all let alone have to apologize for something she has no real connection with. I find it hard even for the left to place blame at Palins feet. But the left in their wacky insanity never cease to amaze me.

With all due respect Mr Kelly, exactly to what responsibility of Palin’s do you refer? The fact that Palin is a gun owner– is that singularly supposed to make her responsible for every violent gun brandishing nutcase out there? ARE YOU BLAMING HER FOR YOUR WIFE’S SHOOTING? There’s only ONE PERSON responsible for that– the nutcase HIMSELF. And here’s another handy piece of information: if governments promoted the responsible and safe ownership and use of guns (yes they can both be done– don’t believe the lies) such as Switzerland, instead of treating them like evil inanimate objects, perhaps that nutcase would have been STOPPED way before he even got a shot off in your wife’s direction.

If anybody deserves an apology, it’s Palin for even being referenced. Thanks again MSM for wetting your lying panties. And you cry “woe is me” when the woman (Palin) won’t give you the time of day you so desperately want from her. Go fucking figure. I hope she shoves it up your collective asses for the next 40 years. Can’t wait for a ratings tally on Katie Couric’s new gig. That’s still happening, yes? And her immediate family members don’t count. Or the people that have to watch it by contract. Other than that, I predict maybe 5 viewers. Joy Behar will be one, given she’s got the time to do it and all.

Lost all respect for this man, and I respected him a lot, I listened to one of his speeches, it was a great speech. He is showing his true colors now.

But this interview makes me think he really isn’t that smart. The person to blame for Giffords, and oh yes those other innocents hurt who are always glossed over, is in jail, he alone is solely responsible for that crime.

I truely hope these assinine and completely irresponsible words that he said about Palin get back to him and makes him realise that he was an ignorant man to say them, he’s on a very liberal show led by a very liberal host.

This is why I don’t consider CNN much of a newsstation, and it looks like Mark Kelly isn’t much of a man either, or a smart one either.

I hope ALL, not just giffords, who were hurt by that tragedy will be able to recover as fully as possible. No disrespect meant to giffords, but the whole peddling the book off the tragedy just seems very crass and like they just want to make money of it. The whole thing happened only this year, and they write a book? ???
Sorry, but it seems like now they are seeking publicity off it, and also, they never mention the other victims, no one mentions them, or say how they are recovering, doing.

I’m just one independent voter, but I find the interview about his book very self seeking, and his words against Palin very disgusting, she had nothing to do with it. I’ve lost all respect for the man.

Mr Kelly should watch the Loughner videos, where he rants about a resource based economy. Then Kelly should look into where that type of economic and political philosophy came from.

The answer is the Zeitgeist movie which is insanely popular with the OWS movement. Loughner would fit right in at a OWS protest.

When will Morgan and Kelly apologize to Sarah Palin? The mere suggestion that she has any responsibility for Gifford’s shooting is utterly vile and illustrates the utter lack of objectivity by MSM and the dims. Truly disgusting.

  70. Maggie says:
    November 25, 2011 at 10:08 am

Correct me if I’m wrong, but…

I believe it was stated in the investigation that the shooter had never even seen Palin’s graphic in question.

The lies these people in the MSM keep repeating, even in the face of stark evidence, is remarkable.

I was reading comments on CNN’s site thread re: NBC’s apology to Bachmann for the song played for her intro on latenight TV. The comments kept insisting the woman was a liar (and a bitch).

But never did any of those commenting cite any of these “lies”.

Just because you politically do not agree with somebody doesn’t make them liars. You must, as a lot of us here and across the conservative blogs have continually pointed out and brought to the debate evidence, provide information to back-up the “liar” claims. Even Rep. Joe Wilson’s “You LIE!” outburst regarding ObamaCare has been proven true more than a couple times.

There is a certain percentage of our population right now that have willingly allowed themselves to be conditioned and even brainwashed by this campaign to insist “2+2=5″ … The rest of us pointing out the answer is “4″, and with physical evidence doing so, are called “liars”.

They are too stupid and ignorant of the simple facts to counter somebody’s opposing political stance so they revert to the lazy-assed ploy of calling names and blasting “liar”.

This is what happens when you not only make up your own reality, but allow somebody else (MSM/left/libs) to shove a feeding tube up your nose into your overly-soft brain and inject their fabrications into your ability to think wisely and critically.

Eventually, outside of politics and ideology, this will catch up with these people on a personal level…

Gifford’s seat is in trouble which is why her husband feels the need to trot out the old , tired & completely played out blood libel card over the last few weeks. Either he’s trying to save her seat for her or he wants it for himself now that Obama killed the shuttle program and put him out of a job.

If Palin would have called, Kelly would have been on Piers Morgan saying how he couldn’t believe she had the audacity to call after what she was responsible for. This was a no win situation for her, she would have been pilloried in the media even worse and she handled it the best way she possibly could.

The Dem’s, the media and their stooge Sheriff Dupnik had already trotted out their lefty talking points 5 minutes after the shooting took place so there was no need for any Republicans to respond. The fact of the matter is, the shooter is a deranged lefty, one of their own who if he wasn’t locked up right now would probably be encamped at one of the many OWS protests taking place across the country right now.

Giffords is a decent woman and what happened to her was horrible. She is one of the very few Dem’s I could actually stomach and I have a hard time believing as a wife and mother that if she had all of her faculties present she would allow the reprehensible treatment that Palin has had to endure take place over her shooting.

With all of the above said, it is very clear that Giffords does indeed not have all of her faculties together and her fellow Dem’s with the help of her husband are more than willing to trot her out ala Robert Byrd (in his last days style) to push along their meme and agenda and tell her what buttons to push.

Her husband is acting disgracefully right now and he has no respect whatsoever for her dignity, he should be ashamed.

  84. Maggie says:

You’ll also note that both MSNBC and CNN have hired foreigners with high-tone Brit accents to carry out these anti-American, anti-GOP/conservative attacks. Their US oriented anchors have become the stand-up unfunny ass clowns that they are, and nobody is either listening to them or taking them seriously because they absolutely sound like they are acutely suffering from leftist/liberal Tourette syndrome. But how quickly do the lazy viewers automatically discount or ignore somebody with a prim and proper English accent saying F*CK YOU? It’s all by design…

The unwashed masses must be led to believe they are the voice of the world criticizing us for the fabricated failings, and as we were all told in 2008, we really need to improve that all important opinion/view the rest of the world (our “allies”) have of us that was somehow lost during Bush … And please completely ignore the way Obama has treated our “allies” around the world for 3 years.

    This is a mind-bending operation.

I agree. The poor woman is being used for political purposes. Whether or not she can see and understand that is obviously debatable. I imagine she is kept ‘sheltered’ from the bulk of information that would allow her to ponder and/or make decisions for herself in political matters/opinions.

Someone on another site I frequent who is from Arizona and in tune with the politics there says that Gifford’s seat is in trouble and her husband is not only trying to save it by repeating the outrageous accusations of ten months ago with help from his Dem and media handlers but that he wants it for himself.

But she won’t be affected by that, having her own insurance as a congresscritter. Mr. Kelly could do a lot worse than taking care of his wife. It is a noble thing to be a caregiver.
