Allen West: Illegal Immigration Could Be Considered An “Invasion”…
No question about it.
I think that illegal immigration — the operative word is ‘illegal’. It also says here in Article 1 Section 8 [reading from Constitution] that you have to repel invasions. I think that anytime someone is coming across your border and they haven’t been invited, that can be considered what the founding fathers wrote as an invasion into your country.

It is Invasion. Besides, what other country (as someone else pointed out) has invaders and then hands over free housing, education, healthcare, etc.? That is ANOTHER type of invasion.

People have been coming across the border here illegally in California for a LONG time, maybe not to the extent that they are now. I can remember folks my age (63) talking about their great grandparents coming here illegally from Mexico. It is one of those deals where too little is being done too late.
@Craig: Just a bit of an answer to your comment. Some time back I guess I had made comments on this. It is true there were illegals coming over prior to this “rash of what’s so noticeable”. However, the illegals of “old” (meaning those arrived before the 80′s era…and no, I’m not suggesting ill of Reagan. Just facts) that did come here, were (mostly) industrious, and fairly self-sufficient, albeit manual laborers. Then, for whatever all reasons, around the 80′s the influx of illegals took on a whole different dimension. Many were from the ME seeking higher education, and jobs like at NASA (to infiltrate as far as I’m concerned) & others arrived with a nefarious penchant of gang involvements, drug trafficking, etc. All the while taking on a greater chunk of gov’t handouts.

@Hickster, I agree, lots of gang, drug interchange, not to mention the muslims (leaving their turbans and I.D.s behind) disguised as Mexicans coming through. Yes it is indeed a real problem, and a definite threat.
