Good news – but I wonder why – after all, he’s had his hands in so many cookiejars – and other places too – surely he must realize he can’t outrun the Statute of Limitations. . . .

He knows he’s going to lose, or that some scandal is about to surface.

Oh yeah, and FUCK YOU to all the assholes that continually voted for him the past 32 years.

Surely his time has run out: he’ll either lose reelection or someone’s FINALLY got solid, irrefutable goods on him……no other reasons even conceivable, after sixteen terms.

BWAAAAAHAHAHA! Waiting for the news dump any day now, this ought to be GOOOOOOD!

This might be a trend, our long time (D) congressman of 30 years… don’t ask… is not seeking re-election either. Retireing? Maybe, or just knows he’ll just be wasting his money.

  24. John says:

I never understood how he got a second term.
He has never provided any leadership for the district only for his friends and relatives. He has been a failure any number of years, I would guess the liberals in the district supported him because he’s gay and that made them feel more liberal and the total failure of his representation was unimportant.

  25. Ma Kettle says:

A few weeks ago they announced the redistricting of Frank’s territory in MA. I was not shocked to see that there was a poll in the local newspaper asking if you would vote for Barney, with the new districting. Barney didn’t get the warm welcome, as my town and surrounding towns, also went all in for Scott Brown. We are a majority of conservative Tea Partiers in Blackstone Valley.

It depresses me that we didn’t have the chance to kick him out on his ass. I suspect that something big is coming down from Washingington, that has all of Barney Frank’s filthy corrupt hands all over it.

  26. Rufus says:
    November 28, 2011 at 10:25 am

    @ John…

He got re-elected because his District is gerrymandered to include very high population areas of the gay side of Boston with relatively unpopulated areas south of Boston to the Atlantic / Long Island Sound.

No amount of non-gay voters could overcome the gay areas.

Congress could have regained some legitimacy and improved their standing with the public if they had censored Barney.

  34. Scott says:
    November 28, 2011 at 11:17 am

Barney was on record prior to the 2010 elections saying he may not run for re-election even then because he wanted to make some serious coin before retiring (it’s hard getting by on a Congressional salary of over $150,000 salary, with an equally lucrative taxpayer funded pension, dontchaknow?)

I’m convinced the main reasons why he decided to go ahead and run for re-election in 2010 is: 1) he knew the “shellacking” was coming and his seat was a relatively safe one for the Democrats to hold onto as long as he was the Democratic candidate. And 2) he also knew that if he retired in 2010, a relatively less well known Democrat would have had to compete for Barney’s seat against a young, enormously competent, and charismatic Republican, Sean Bielat — in a year that was likely to be a Republican national landslide. Bielat probably would have won had he been up against anyone except Barney. And given Bielat’s youth, competence, and natural charisma, if he had won, the district may have turned Republican for decades.

  36. Rufus says:

    @ Scott…

Exactly… they are all deciding not to run because they know about the coming landslide.

The Media won’t report on it, but the House is going to go super-majority Republican and the Senate will be taken by the Repubs.

Assuming of course that the RNC doesn’t forfeit the election… again.

After a routing of the D-Rats, RINOS, ERRs (Established Republican Elitists), the DIKs (Democrats Installed Kommunists) and the BOGUS POTUS and the rise of a conservative majority, there will be 4 more years to see to it that Fannie Franks ends up in jail, stripped of his retirement benefits, before he can renege on his no reelection pledge. Of course, being in jail, would be a wet dream for Butt Boy Barnie.

funny but barney has done his job and now he’s retiring to enjoy the fruits of his labor. he has done so much damage that you can’t even begin to roll it back. which is why conservativism by its very nature is a lost cause. it never advances anything! doubt me? ask yourself these questions. has our government become bigger or smaller? is the gay agenda making progress? what is being taught in schools, liberalism or conservativism? we can go on all day. fact is his agenda is winning.
besides whoever runs in his place will probably be just as gay, just as much of a commie but he/she/it might talk a bit more fiscally conservative. his opponent will be even more of a leftist so the sheep will due their duty and vote for commie light since he/she/it will have a R next to the name. lesser of two evils (evil of two lessers). barney fag is happy to retire. he has done a good job for the communists and made it so that you will continue to vote for people who are more like him than the founding fathers. you will never have the guts to oppose rinos or commies. sheep will always take the slow road to communism…lesser of two evils. gutless!
btw has dee dee scazzafava (or whatever her name is) endorsed newt the new conservative darling yet?
