Report: Obama Reelection Campaign Will “Explicitly Abandon White Working Class Voters”…

For decades, Democrats have suffered continuous and increasingly severe losses among white voters. But preparations by Democratic operatives for the 2012 election make it clear for the first time that the party will explicitly abandon the white working class.
All pretense of trying to win a majority of the white working class has been effectively jettisoned in favor of cementing a center-left coalition made up, on the one hand, of voters who have gotten ahead on the basis of educational attainment — professors, artists, designers, editors, human resources managers, lawyers, librarians, social workers, teachers and therapists — and a second, substantial constituency of lower-income voters who are disproportionately African-American and Hispanic.
It is instructive to trace the evolution of a political strategy based on securing this coalition in the writings and comments, over time, of such Democratic analysts as Stanley Greenberg and Ruy Teixeira. Both men were initially determined to win back the white working-class majority, but both currently advocate a revised Democratic alliance in which whites without college degrees are effectively replaced by well-educated socially liberal whites in alliance with the growing ranks of less affluent minority voters, especially Hispanics.
The 2012 approach treats white voters without college degrees as an unattainable cohort. The Democratic goal with these voters is to keep Republican winning margins to manageable levels, in the 12 to 15 percent range, as opposed to the 30-point margin of 2010 — a level at which even solid wins among minorities and other constituencies are not enough to produce Democratic victories.

Regarding Obama’s dismissal of white, working class voters, he might be surprised at how many white, college educated, non-liberal arts voters hate his guts.
It amazes me that Obama has never even tried to represent American citizens as a whole, he didn’t even give it lip service. His entire presidency has been one division and demonization of ordinary citizens. He placed all of “us” at the back of the bus and then screamed racisim every time we chose not to stay there.

Kat, our SoS in Fl was appointed by the Repub Gov. So I think this state is OK.

Blacks are 11% of the population and they already get 92-98% of their vote, so not much upside there.
There are only so many communists in the country, and their % of the population is not likely to increase.
Hispanics are not and never will be as beholden to the D’s as Blacks are. R’s get between 30-45% of their vote now, and as the more they assimilate into our culture the more their economic interests line up with the Republican platform.
If you don’t work for the government, you’re not living on welfare, and you’re not a communist, why would you vote D?
The D’s are very much in danger of becoming a permanent minority, as a direct result of their extreme leftwing ideology. Outside of college towns, state capital cities/DC/college towns, and majority-minority districts, they may soon cease to exist.
The simple fact is: if you work and pay taxes, your interests are represented by R’s. D’s exist only to tax you and redistribute your income to somebody else.

Do not underestimate the voter fraud and Chicago style shenanigans the progressive moonbats will employ. Racial divisiveness will be a huge part of the 2012 strategy for Maobama. This OWS crap is going to be re-invigorated in the spring and it is going to get ugly. There is going to be orchestrated civil unrest coupled with a worsening of the economy and higher unemployment. Right now, we’re looking at an official unemployment rate north of 9%, and if you factor in the underemployed and people who have given up, probably twice that.
Right now, we have 53% of the population paying taxes while most of the other 47% actually receives money.
Right now, thanks to OWS, the streets in our major cities are descending into anarchy.
