Herman Cain Tells CNN He Will Make “A Decision In The Next Several Days”…

Any over/under predictions?

Dayton, Ohio (CNN) — Embattled Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain is keeping mum on whether he will remain in the race for the GOP nomination.

When asked by CNN if he is vowing to continue his campaign, Cain declined to give a direct response.

“We will be making a decision in the next several days,” Cain said.

I think that it’s funny to watch ardent supporters of other candidates get SO CLOSE to “thinning the field,” only to have the potential support yanked away by a feisty Cain!

I won’t lie, part of Cain’s appeal to me is the absolute disdain that egotistical “serious thinkers” have for him.

It’s also funny to watch people who would have had NOTHING good to say about Newt Gingrich a year and a half ago flock to him as “their only hope” to avoid a Romney candidacy. The guy’s got a mean Progressive streak and will do and say whatever it takes to win. I’ll vote for him, but still think that he’s a duplicitous prick, and that the media has funneled us down to Mittens vs. Newt.

Roll Cain! With a heave of the ho!!

My thoughts have nothing to do with the veracity of the accusations against him. Yes, he has been buffeted from several directions with claims that are spurious at best. I do not think that his response to the accusations was what it should have been. I feel that he stammered and back tracked too many times. His choice of campaign manager is severely flawed. While I respect the man I do not feel that he could lead this country as it needs to be led.
Based on record of what they have done Romney appears more conservative than Gingrich. NEITHER is a Conservative Republican! Ron Paul is a fool. Bachman is flailing hopelessly trying once again for relevance. Huntsman who? Santorum who? Buehler… Buehler…?
I can’t really support anyone – yet I fear I will have to vote for one of the above. A third party candidate guarantees a second term…

I do want to know if any records of hotel stays, gift receipts, bank account records, witnesses that saw them at restaurants or airports together exist? Cain had best be willing to run the gauntlet if he’s going to salvedge his reputation, marraige, and political ambitions.

We need some hard facts before Herman pulls out of his long campaign and brings it to a climax. 28. Man on the Silver Mountain says:
    November 30, 2011 at 3:49 pm

Whethe or not Cain is guilty of this latest smear, I don’t think he can recover from it. Not because it’s believable but because his campaign is not savvy enough to know how to handle it. Cain doesn’t know how to get down in the mud with these people and fight dirty. Some will say that is why they like him but unfortunately in this game it will be his undoing. Obama is the son of Satan. It’s going take someone with as much or more ambition to beat him and that isn’t Herman Cain. Cain may be naive enough to stay in the race trying to save face, but it’s over for him.

The Cain movement was a complete waste of time and effort and now we conservatives are stuck with two dim bulb liberal candidates that are no better than McCain in 08. Man am I pissed about the way this has turned out.
We are almost better off if Romney gets the nod *throws up in mouth.
If Newt gets the nomination they’ll call him the Tea Party candidate and if he loses they’ll blame it on conservatives. If he wins we will be stuck with a liberal beltway politician anyway. Lose-lose.

its what they are comfortable with. They like the lies and the smarmy talk they get from the bullshitters because it makes them feel good about themselves. They “know” a politician because they’ve been in the game a long time (too long IMO) and are angry that somebody like Cain could break into the system. That and a few of the trolls are just liberal racists which is why they deride his character without a single shred of evidence to prove him at fault with this line of drive by accusations.

    @Western Gal

You want me to show you proof that multiple complaints are less likely to be false-positives than a single complaint?

    Okay.

Let’s say there’s a 8/10 chance of a false positive. If you only have one complaint, the probability of all the complaints being false is 8/10. If you have four complaints, the probability is (8 * 8 * 8 * 8) / (10 * 10 * 10 * 10), which is around a 41% chance of them all being false positives, making it now most likely (59% chance) that at least one of the complaints is true.

I was totally behind Perry, then as he went down, I began to watch more closely. I really did consider Mr. Cain, but a couple of things troubled me, if he had stage four colin cancer, how would he last under the constant stress, or would he have a recurrence of the cancer. Another thing was his inexperience in foreign affairs. He is a a business man, and should serve as such under our president.
I watched the debates, and came to the realization that Newt Gingrich was the fairest, most knowledgeable man in the race. He is a great debater, because he knows his facts, and how to use them.
Belileve me, I looked at all of them. Michelle Bachman would not listen to things that were actually said, but would draw a conclusion, and then like a dog on a bone, she would attack , and not let up, nor listen to reason.
She was determined to destroy Perry, and is trying it on Newt, but it isn’t working, as he knows how to fight back. We dont’ need a president that won’t listen at all, no matter how conservative she is.
Well, that is some of my reasoning .

It frankly disappoints me to see how many blind sheep there are in here, even aside from the trolls.

So if someone gets 50 people to say; Zip is an arsonist, does that make him an arsonist?
Should Zip stop doing WZ because someone PAID PEOPLE to make false accusations against him?’ You better close up shop now, Zip. Were onto you and your criminal ways! ;)

I see how “innocent until proven guilty” is out the window, especially when Cain hasnt been accused of doing anything you could prove in a court of law, and no charges will even BE filed. They have nothing because they are nothing and there is nothing.

I love how one dimwit in here said how the probability that all these women are lying about it is low. “there was only one Anita Hill.”
Really? You think maybe they havent upped their game, or learned from the Anita Hill debacle? MAYBE you dont know everything? MAYBE youre talking out of your ass?

Ill explain this to you, despite the notion that you think youre a Wile E. Coyote Super genius and know whats what.
Just as Rush said, they dont need for ANY of these accusations to stick. and NONE OF THEM HAVE. They have no proof.
They simply need to derail his campaign by getting people to stop donating or polling for him, just in case they MIGHT be true.
IF Cain decides to continue his campaign, I GUARANTEE there will be another woman to come out of the woodwork. If you can pay off 4, you can pay off a thousand.

FACT: the woman who said Cain shoved her head into his lap didnt show up for 15 years, is desperate for money, and has no proof. and her story changed.
FACT: this current woman has been ACCUSED OF STALKING, and also has no proof.
FACT: one of the women wont even speak publicly. And dont give me this “shes an ashamed victim” crap. Sexual harassment (an annoying comment) isnt going to leave someone THAT shook up and disturbed, especially a decade later, unless they already have some serious mental issues.

It goes on and on. Arguing the facts of this overshadows and belittles the point that this is OBVIOUSLY a political attack designed to get rid of someone the democrats fear.
3 strikes and youre out does not apply when you havent even proven there was one strike to begin with.

–”Mr. Cain has been informed today that your television station plans to broadcast a story this evening in which a female will make an accusation that she engaged in a 13-year long physical relationship with Mr. Cain. This is not an accusation of harassment in the workplace – this is not an accusation of an assault – which are subject matters of legitimate inquiry to a political candidate.

Rather, this appears to be an accusation of private, alleged CONSENSUAL CONDUCT BETWEEN ADULTS (emphasis added) – a subject matter which is not a proper subject of inquiry by the media or the public. No individual, whether a private citizen, a candidate for public office or a public official, should be questioned about his or her private sexual life. The public’s right to know and the media’s right to report has boundaries and most certainly those boundaries end outside of one’s bedroom door. “–

I agree 100% Nanna. I have brought up the cancer issue as well and everyone just ignores it like it doesn’t even matter. The man would be 67 if he took office in 2013. Stage 4 colon cancer which spread to his liver. And he had a great deal of his colon and liver removed. Stage 4 is always nearly terminal. the odds are against him of it returning somewhere in his body-and he wants to hold the most stressful job in the world ? Taking his health into consideration is a rational-logical thing to do for such an important job. Yet it is ignored by most everyone. Why would anyone want to take a chance under these circumstances especially since he is not even qualified for the office ( foreign policy /national security weakness-although now he says he’s “learning”-we don’t need another learn as we President). As for his business success-well yes he has had some success, however the jobs he created as a business man were low paying jobs at fast food joints, not exactly a Steve Jobs.

Keep the Cain Train rolling, they can’t stand it, were Republicans, we are supposed to run away at the first sign of trouble.
I find it all hard to believe, Cain is a rich man, has connections, if he kept a woman you would think he set her up in a cushy job, so she would have to money to buy things to keep her happy and so she would keep you happy.

Wouldn’t being the Presidents girl on the side be a feather in her cap, seems like if she was with him for 13 years, she would hang in for that, so she could write a book and get the big money and go down in history as being Herman’s side treat.

But this does let me know who both sides are afraid of, and that’s Herman Cain, I’m still not ready to give up on him, but they timed this so it will kill him off long before we know the truth

Obama and crew know they can’t beat him, they dam sure don’t want to debate him, the Republicans can’t let an outsider just walk in, he might start a wave of outsiders, real working people who take two years or four off work to help the country and then go back to work, that’s the way it use to be done.

They all are afraid of losing their life time rides and the millions they can make from insider trading, which is legal for them, that needs to change now, so you have to keep outsiders out, it might cause real change.

Like I said I’m not letting them sway me as easy as most people are, hell at 66 if he can still handle 2 women and chase more, sounds like he has the energy to get the job done, besides I like scaring them to death too, as long as we keep supporting and sending money to Herman, no matter what they try, that scares them even more than Herman, to know they can’t fool or control us as easy.

We are making a change our selfs, the media couldn’t stand it we kept Herman up in the polls no matter what they said for so long, then we let him slip to second to let him get some rest and then he won the last big poll last week, then this woman comes out of nowhere with a bad past and needing money bad.

But we need to keep showing them, we not falling for the same old crap, we want real change, We want Cain just to tick them off.

I made a donation to show I still had his back, we can’t let them rail road him, Clinton had rapes against him and it didn’t seem to matter

I’ll let the rest of you be the media’s bitch.

“Clinton had rapes against him and it didn’t seem to matter”

    1) The rules are different for democrats
    2) BJ didn’t give a rat’s ass what his wife thought

As for being “the media’s bitch”, the central issue here is not what we want Cain to do, or believe the truth to be. Whatever decision is made by Cain and his advisers does not make anyone here the media’s bitch, but it may tell us something about Cain.

So high school. Everyone who does not like Cain is now an asshole or troll. Kinda like if some other kid doesn’t support your candidate for high school class president you name call. How mature.

Do you really think the Democrats are afraid of a man who wants to make millions of retired seniors, those on disability and minimum, wage pay pay nearly 20% tax on food ? LMFAO. Can you imagine the ads they would run reenforcing that fact if Cain were the GOP candidate ! Cain fans alone cannot get this man elected in the general-and multiple millions of the general voting populace are just not going to vote for a man who wants to tax food and medicine, has backtracked on nearly every comment he’s made, who constantly says he’d “check with his advisers” (we are not electing presidential advisers-we are electing a president), one who is dumber then shit on foreign policy. We just had 4 years of an unqualified-learn as he goes numbskull who was perceived as “anti-establishment-going to do things differently” clown-Americans do not want another one !

Cain is why you keep your powder dry when it comes to candidates. Want to avoid looking like an idiot? Don’t get all weak in the knees at every fast talking “real” conservative who comes along.

Watch what happens to Newt if & when he gets the nomination. The same Main Stream Media that is rooting on the former speaker will go all John McCain on him & he’ll be painted as the proto-typical D.C. insider (which of course he is).

Some where between the clown that is Herman Cain & Newt is a great candidate. The thing that truly sucks is we never get quality conservative candidates. Good Conservatives don’t run because they don’t want the full rectal exam…
    &
I’ll repeat it it’s too fucking bad Sarah Palin said yes when John McCain tapped her in 2008. She’d be the front runner now. Most likely an unstoppable force. But she got some VERY BAD ADVICE from her handlers & allowed herself to get thrown to the lions to help a desperate old RINO.

Cain’s mistake is that he didn’t see all of this coming. He should have known that any past legal settlements or complaints or court cases involving him would come to light as soon as his campaign gained any traction. If he was banging this latest chick, he should have known she would surface sooner or later. He and his handlers should have figured out months ago what they were going to do when the MSM started trashing him over these supposed improprieties.

Bingo! An experienced politician would have prepared for these inevitabilities. Poor judgment and poor planning and poor response.
