Penn Democrat Sen. Bob Casey Avoids Obama Like The Bubonic Plague During His Trip To The State…

Once upon a time Sen. Casey couldn’t get close enough to Obama, these days he’d rather rip out his fingernails then be seen with the Toxic Avenger-in-Chief.

Via Politico 44:

Pennsylvania Sen. Bob Casey couldn’t make it back to Scranton for President Obama’s visit today, citing “the timing of votes in the Senate.”

But it looks like he’ll have no problem completing the 151-mile trek back to Philadelphia Thursday night, for a fundraiser scheduled with Paul Begala and James Carville.

Sen. Claire McCaskill had a similar scheduling crunch when Obama came to Missouri in October, but was later caught strolling into an evening fundraiser.

Egypt: Thousands of Muslims Attack Christians, 2 Killed, Homes And Stores Torched…

Pray for the Copts.

(AINA) — Thousands of Muslims attacked and besieged Copts in elGhorayzat village, population 80,000, killing two Copts and severely wounding others, as well as looting and torching homes and businesses. A quarrel between a Copt, John Hosni, and Mahmoud Abdel-Nazeer, who later died in hospital, turned into collective punishment of all Copts in the majority Christian village of elGhorayzat, in the Maragha district of Sohag province. Muslims vowed not to bury Abdel-Nazeer until John Hosni is punished. Mr. Hosni fled from the village with his family, “fearing a wholesale massacre of Copts,” reported activist Mariam Ragy.

The events started on Monday, November 28, when John Hosni, a building supplier, had a quarrel with his neighbor, Mahmoud Abdel-Nazeer (48), over some steel rods and cement Mr. Hosni had left in the street to use for erecting a wall around his house. This was perceived by Mr. Abdel-Nazeer as extending the home into the street, which is public property. “Instead of reporting this building transgression to the police or local authorities, Abdel-Nazeer took the matter in his own hands and brought some Salafists and torched the store and the home of the Copt,” said an eyewitness.

Angry Muslims murdered two Christian brothers, Kamel Tamer Ibrahim (55) and Kameel Tamer Ibrahim (50), in revenge. The brothers were not a party to the altercation. Kamel Tamer, who was defending his shop from looting, was murdered in front of his wife. His brother was also murdered in front of his wife for defending his home (video of the murdered Copts. Egyptian Elections: After 90% Votes Counted Muslim Brotherhood Leads, Radical Salafi Islamist Party In Second, Centrists Come In Distant Third…

Update to this post.

What a disaster.

(Haaretz) — The Muslim Brotherhood’s party appeared to be leading Egypt’s elections on Wednesday after 90 percent of the votes in a number of cities and provinces were counted, according to Al Jazeera.

Egypt’s Al Nour party, considered a radical Islamic party, appeared to be in second place behind the Muslim Brotherhood, and the centrist party is only in third place, according to Al Jazeera.

The results show that the Muslim Brotherhood have become the strongest political force in the country since the fall of Hosni Mubarak, although it is still too early to announce whether they will enjoy the solid victory that has been expected, or whether they will see even greater success at the polls, as there are still votes to be counted, and this is only the first stage of Egypt’s three-part elections.

The figures released by the judges responsible for the ballot boxes reveal that the Muslim Brotherhood have a clear majority among voters in Egypt’s capital Cairo, in Luxor, Port Said, and in the area of the Suez Canal.

Obama Tells a Whopper, Says He’s Not a “Big Tax And Spend Liberal”…

You would think he’d be proud of it.

Watch the above video on RCP and tell me it’s not a taxpayer-funded campaign speech, because we already know Carney will say it isn’t.

Via RCP:

“I know you hear a lot of folks on cable TV claiming that I am this ‘big tax and spend liberal.’ Next time you hear that, you just remind the people who are saying it that since I’ve taken office, I’ve cut your taxes. Your taxes — your taxes today, the average middle class family, your taxes today are lower than when I took office. Just remember that. We have cut taxes for small businesses, not once, not twice, but 17 times. The average family’s tax burden is among the lowest it’s been in the last 60 years. So the problem is not that we’ve been raising taxes. We’ve been trying to give families a break during these tough times,” Obama said at a campaign event in Scranton, Penn.

Obama Ramps Up The Class Warfare Rhetoric During (Non-Campaign) Speech In Pennsylvania: Pits “Millionaires And Billionaires” Against Middle Class…

Music to Occupy Wall Street’s dirty hippy ears.

SCRANTON, Pa. (AP) — President Barack Obama says the nation’s economy would be dealt a “massive blow” if Congress fails to extend a payroll tax cut.

“The question for today is, we’ve obviously seen Republicans demonstrate a pretty aggressive defense of the tax cuts that are enjoyed by millionaires and billionaires,” White House spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters traveling on Air Force One Wednesday. “The question is if they’re going to join Democrats in aggressively fighting to protect the tax cuts of 160 million working Americans.”

Holder Scolds Daily Caller Reporter Over Calls For His Resignation: “Stop This, You Guys Are Behind It”…

Cry baby.

Via Daily Caller:

Embattled Attorney General Eric Holder today demanded The Daily Caller stop publishing articles about the growing calls in Congress for his resignation because of the failed Operation Fast and Furious gun-walking program.

As Holder’s aide was escorting the attorney general offstage following his remarks Tuesday afternoon at the White House, a Daily Caller reporter introduced himself and shook Holder’s hand. The reporter asked him for a response to the growing chorus of federal legislators demanding his resignation.

Holder stepped towards the exit, then turned around, stepped back toward the reporter, and sternly said, “You guys need to — you need to stop this. It’s not an organic thing that’s just happening. You guys are behind it.”

Obama Orders Government to Clean Up “Islamophobic” Terror Training Materials…

And look who’s gloating over the news:

Via Danger Room/Wired:

The White House quietly ordered a widespread review of government counterterrorism training materials last month, following Danger Room’s reports that officials at the FBI, military and Justice Department taught their colleagues that “mainstream” Muslims embrace violence and compared the Islamic religion to the Death Star.

According to a Pentagon memorandum acquired by Danger Room, the White House’s National Security Staff in October requested “Departments and Agencies” to “provide their screening process for CVE trainers and speakers.” (.pdf) CVE refers to “Countering Violent Extremism,” the euphemism du jour for the war on terrorism. The memorandum says that “recent media attention” led to the review, and contains a single attachment to demonstrate that attention: “Spencer Ackerman’s Wired.com article.”

The ongoing review will examine whether counterterrorism training material throughout the government is accurate and relevant, and will make sure the briefings given to federal field offices and local cops meet the same standards as FBI headquarters or the Pentagon. [...]

The purpose of the review, Mayorga writes, is to “determine the criteria used to establish professional qualifications for teachers and lecturers providing instruction on countering violent Islamic extremism; with particular focus on Military Information Support Operations, Information Operations, and Military Intelligence curriculum.” Mayorga adds that information on “cultural awareness” for troops preparing to deploy to Iraq and Afghanistan is also subject to the White House review.

Some security agencies already have their own internal reviews. After Danger Room reported on presentations at the FBI training academy at Quantico and for FBI partners in New York that taught al-Qaida was “irrelevant” compared to the threat of Islam itself, the bureau began what it describes as a thorough scrub of its counterterrorism curriculum. It enlisted the Army’s Combating Terrorism Center at West Point to purge material that conflates terrorism with mainstream Islam. Attorney General Eric Holder, whose Justice Department initiated a separate counterterrorism training review, recently told Congress that those instructional materials hurt the U.S. fight against al-Qaida.

Dayton, Ohio (CNN) — Embattled Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain is keeping mum on whether he will remain in the race for the GOP nomination.

NY Mayor Bloomberg: “I Have My Own Army”…

And if he sees a restaurant using too much salt he will order them to attack.

(PolitickerNY) — In a speech at MIT last night to discuss the packed sweepstakes to build a tech campus in New York City, Mayor Bloomberg said he prefers City Hall to the White House. Almost immediately after Mayor Bloomberg dampened recent speculation he’s eyeing a White House bid, he added fuel to the fire by explaining why a mayor would be the best person for the job.

Mayor Bloomberg’s recent criticism of President Obama for allowing the debt reduction Supercommittee to fail led many political tea leaf watchers to believe he’s eyeing a potential White House bid. To the dismay of those who hope he’ll mount presidential campaign, Mayor Bloomberg began his speech last night by discussing why City Hall is just fine by him.

“I have my own army in the NYPD, which is the seventh biggest army in the world. I have my own State Department, much to Foggy Bottom’s annoyance. We have the United Nations in New York, and so we have an entree into the diplomatic world that Washington does not have,” Mayor Bloomberg said.

Dem Congressional Candidate Attacks Republican Opponent For Supporting . . . Obama…

Uranium is less toxic than Obama these days.

(National Journal) — Here’s a telling sign of how much President Obama’s fortunes have changed since 2008 — a leading Democratic Congressional recruit is now attacking a Republican congressman for supporting the president.

Former Ohio Democratic congressman Charlie Wilson, who was attacked relentlessly for being too close with President Obama in last year’s losing campaign, kicked off his comeback bid today by accusing his Republican rival of the same sin.

Wilson, who represented a rural, blue-collar district along the Ohio River, is seeking a rematch against freshman Rep. Bill Johnson, R-Ohio. In his successful 2010 campaign, Johnson effectively characterized Wilson as a lackey of national Democrats, blasting him for casting a critical vote for Obama’s health care law and the stimulus.

So it’s striking that Wilson is now trying to use that same tactic against Johnson, criticizing the congressman for supporting free trade agreements backed by President Obama.

Democrats Pledge To Defend Pro-Union NLRB, Say Attacks Are Coming From “A Right Wing On Steroids”…

They’re not even bothering to try and hide the NLRB’s union hack agenda.

(The Hill) — Prominent Democratic lawmakers pledged Wednesday to push back against Republican attacks on the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).

The labor board has come under frequent criticism this year for filing a complaint against Boeing for allegedly retaliating against union workers, and for proposing a number of new regulations, most controversially a rule that would speed up union elections. Business groups have decried those moves as regulatory overreach, and GOP lawmakers have put forward a number of bills to limit the NLRB’s authority.

Speaking at a forum sponsored by the AFL-CIO, the nation’s largest labor federation, Rep. George Miller (D-Calif.) said efforts to defund the labor board and reduce its power amount to an attack on workers’ rights.

“This isn’t just another piece of legislation. This is about ending the National Labor Relations Act,” said Miller, the ranking member of the House Education and the Workforce Committee.

Miller called the battle over the NLRB “a fundamental fight” with Republicans, who he said are looking to end the agency that adjudicates disputes between workers and employers.

“This is a right wing on steroids,” Miller said.

WZ Poll: How Should We Proceed?…

After watching The Five yesterday where Eric Bolling, who’s a huge Perry supporter, say he’s done trashing GOP candidates it got me thinking (which isn’t an easy thing to do). Should we focus solely on the left because we still have no clear frontrunner and we may be trashing a guy (Romney) who could still very well be the nominee?

If people are going to read this site they should have a say in how it’s run so make sure you vote.

Government Motors CEO: We’ve “Gotten Over” Our $23.6 Billion Auto Bailout Loss…

The American taxpayers, not so much.

Via Human Events:

General Motors (GM) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dan Akerson — a President Barack Obama post-bailout Crony Socialist appointee — is hard to confuse with someone in touch with the common man.

There’s Akerson’s palatial house. Or his second, palatial, beachfront condominium. Neither of which were used in the filming of Good Times. [...]

Akerson’s latest oblivious iteration? That we’ve “gotten over” our looming titanic auto bailout loss:

The U.S. government got a stake in the restructured company, part of which was sold in an initial public stock offering about one year ago on Nov. 18, 2010. The government’s remaining 500 million shares would have to sell for around $53 per share for the U.S. to break even. Such a sale probably won’t come anytime soon. GM shares are trading around one-third less than the $33 IPO price.

The summer before the IPO, then-GM Chairman and CEO Ed Whitacre said government ownership was hurting the company’s sales. Whitacre said GM didn’t want to be known as “Government Motors.”

But Akerson said on Thursday that the new GM is now making money and has passed that stage.

“I do think that we’ve kind of gotten over that,” he said.

Obama Admin Abruptly Seals Court Records of Border Patrol Agent Murdered With Fast and Furious Weapons…

Is Obama still claiming he runs the “most transparent” administration in history?

Via Judicial Watch:

The Obama Administration has abruptly sealed court records containing alarming details of how Mexican drug smugglers murdered a U.S. Border patrol agent with a gun connected to a failed federal experiment that allowed firearms to be smuggled into Mexico.

This means information will now be kept from the public as well as the media. Could this be a cover-up on the part of the “most transparent” administration in history? After all, the rifle used to kill the federal agent (Brian Terry) last December in Arizona’s Peck Canyon was part of the now infamous Operation Fast and Furious. Conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the disastrous scheme allowed guns to be smuggled into Mexico so they could eventually be traced to drug cartels.

Instead, federal law enforcement officers lost track of more than 1,000 guns which have been used in numerous crimes. In Terry’s case, five illegal immigrants armed with at least two semi-automatic assault rifles were hunting for U.S. Border Patrol agents near a desert watering hole just north of the Arizona-Mexico border when a firefight erupted and Terry got hit.
