Documents Show Obama Admin, GAO Ignored Group’s ACORN Affiliation To Award Them $700K In Taxpayer Funds…

We all know the rules (in this case a law) don’t apply to Obama.

Via Daily Caller:

A newly released internal audit appears to indicate that the Government Accountability Office and President Barack Obama’s Department of Housing and Urban Development incorrectly argued that a specific organization wasn’t ACORN-affiliated.

HUD’s office of general counsel and the GAO have both claimed that Affordable Housing Centers of America, or AHCOA, is not affiliated with the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN. AHCOA formerly called itself ACORN Housing, but changed its name after the 2009 ACORN meltdown.

The Obama administration has awarded more than $700,000 in taxpayer funds to AHCOA despite a 2010 law stipulating that no taxpayer funds could be awarded to ACORN “or any of its affiliates, subsidiaries, or allied organizations.”

UN “Expert” Warns Failure To Secure Climate Change Deal Could Lead To War…

The UN’s so-called “expert” also made the standard calls for radical redistribution of wealth on a global scale.

GENEVA, Nov 28 (KUNA) — The UN Independent Expert on Human Rights and International Solidarity, Virginia Dandan, urged “old and new polluters” to take the lead in the climate change negotiations in Durban, South Africa, and push for ‘preventive’ international solidarity to confront head on the environmental global challenges.

“Will the inertia that has been ailing climate change negotiations finally break new ground” she asked. “International solidarity should be preventive rather than simply reactive to the massive irreversible damage that has already been caused not only by natural disaster but as well, by man’s activities.” “The world is calling for genuine international solidarity and multilateralism, and for its leaders to take a leap of faith in unison, and as one,” the expert said on the eve of the 17th Conference of Parties to the UN Climate Change Convention and the 7th Conference of Parties serving as the Meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol, in Durban.

For the UN Independent Expert, “there is great need for a radical mind-set change in order to bring back to the negotiating table the time-honoured values of humanity that have been forgotten after decades of market and profit driven orientation.” She stressed the imperative of revitalising the collective values built on cooperation and solidarity among nations and peoples, imbued with human rights principles, equality and justice.

“Greater cooperation and solidarity are required now more than ever before, to face the challenges posed by climate change such as the intensification and increasing frequency of natural disasters, as well as the continuing and widening poverty gap, and the series of food, energy, economic and financial global crises,” Dandan said.

“Failure in Durban would impact on the three pillars of the UN, namely peace and security, development and human rights, and pin the world down to ground zero,” she said.

Tunisian Islamist Leader Who Recently Called For Destruction of Israel Will Attend “Arab Spring” Conference On Capitol Hill…

After Rachid Ghannouchi’s Ennahda Party won Tunisia’s recent elections the MSM fawned over him as a “moderate” Islamist, but the fact is he a dangerous radical who as recently as May said he hoped the “Arab Spring” would lead to “the extinction of Israel.”

(IPT) — A radical Tunisian Islamist leader, denied an entry visa into the United States during the 1990s, is scheduled to make two appearances on Capitol Hill Tuesday.

Rachid Ghannouchi, leader of Tunisia’s Ennahda Party, will attend a forum on the Arab Spring at the Cannon Office Building, an announcement from the event’s sponsor, the Muslim Public Affairs Council’s (MPAC) said. He’ll also attend a special dinner Tuesday evening.

Ghannouchi’s Ennahda Party recently won the majority in the first free parliamentary elections since the ouster of Tunisia’s longtime ruler, Zine El Abidine Ben Ali. Though hailed as a pro-democratic and moderate party by several media outlets and political figures, Ennahda, and its leader, have provided ample evidence to the contrary.

In a May interview with the Al Arab Qatari website, for example, Ghannouchi called for the destruction of Israel and expressed optimism that the Jewish state would disappear in the very near future.

The Arab Spring “will achieve positive results on the path to the Palestinian cause and threaten the extinction of Israel,” Ghannouchi said. “I give you the good news that the Arab region will get rid of the bacillus of Israel. Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, the leader of Hamas, said that Israel will disappear by the year 2027. I say that this date may be too far away, and Israel may disappear before this.”

Having Solved America’s Deficit Nightmare, Obama Says U.S. “Stands Ready To Do Our Part” For Eurozone Debt Crisis…

Translation: Obama will help prop up the Euro until the 2o12 elections.

(ABC News) — As the European debt crisis continues to escalate, President Obama urged European Union leaders today to act quickly to resolve the eurozone crisis, saying that “the United States stands ready to do our part to help them resolve this issue.

“This is of huge importance to our own economy. If Europe is contracting or if Europe is having difficulties, then it’s much more difficult for us to create good jobs here at home because we send so many of our products and services to Europe; it is such an important trading partner for us,” the president said following an annual meeting between U.S. and EU officials. “We’ve got a stake in their success, and we will continue to work in a constructive way to try to resolve this issue in the near future.”

While Obama did not say what kind of assistance the U.S. would be willing to provide, earlier today the White House ruled out any financial contributions from U.S. taxpayers. “We do not in any way believe that additional resources are required from the United States or from American taxpayers,” White House Press Secretary Jay Carney told reporters.

Allen West: Illegal Immigration Could Be Considered An “Invasion”…

No question about it.

I think that illegal immigration — the operative word is ‘illegal’. It also says here in Article 1 Section 8 [reading from Constitution] that you have to repel invasions. I think that anytime someone is coming across your border and they haven’t been invited, that can be considered what the founding fathers wrote as an invasion into your country.

Iran: Satellite Images Show Revolutionary Guard Missile Base Completely Destroyed After Mysterious Explosion…

Before:

After:

Someone in the CIA/Mossad/MI6 deserves a bonus.

(Washington Post) — Two weeks after a mysterious explosion at an Iranian missile base, a Washington-based research group has released a satellite image showing extensive damage to the site.

The image of the compound, near the city of Malard, doesn’t provide any clues as to what caused the Nov. 12 explosion, which Iranian authorities described as an “accident” involving the transport of ammunition. But it does make clear that the facility has been effectively destroyed.

Paul Brannan, a senior analyst for the Institute for Science and International Security, which specializes in the study of nuclear weapons programs, said it’s impossible to tell from the image whether the blast was caused by sabotage, as has has been speculated in this explosion and others at transport facilities, oil refineries and military bases in Iran.

Brannan said ISIS had recently learned from “knowledgable officials” that the blast had occurred just as Iran had achieved a milestone in the development of a new missile and may have been performing a “volatile procedure involving a missile engine at the site.”

White House Propaganda Minister Jay Carney Blames Europe For Obama’s Craptastic Economy…

Keep passing that buck.

Via Beltway Confidential:

Echoing remarks by President Obama earlier this year, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney dubbed the European financial crisis a “headwind” slowing the United States economic recovery.

“It [has] created a headwind for much of the year, and continues to create that headwind,” Carney said during today’s press briefing, adding the the eurozone crisis “does remind all of us that we need to take decisive action on things that we can control” in terms of job creation.

Iranian Ayatollah Cheers Murder of Journalist Who Had Death Fatwa On His Head For Criticizing Mohammed…

Rafig Tagi

November 28, 2011: The Iranian Ayatollah Sheikh Mohammed Fazel Lankarani welcomed the murder of the Azerbaijani writer and journalist Rafig Tagi. This sensational news appeared on the sheikh’s website on the morning of November 28.

he statement called the murder an execution and just sentence of Rafig Tagi, who he described as an apostate. The ayatollah congratulated the Azerbaijani people with Rafig Tagi’s murder and expressed joy that “the hand of God appeared among the Muslims and sent to hell the wicked man, who had insulted the Prophet.”

“Without a doubt, the man, who performed the sentence and pleased the Muslims, will receive a great gift from the Almighty. Let the enemies of Islam know that decent young people will not allow anyone to humiliate Islam’s holy values and realize the intrigues of world imperialism and Zionism, and will punish those who betray their religion for their shameful acts.

I congratulate the Muslim world and, above all, the people of Azerbaijan and the memory of Ayatollah Uzma Lankarani — the man, who issued a death fatwa (sentence) on the ungodly,” the statement said.

Carney: Obama Wants To “Create Jobs” By Extending Unemployment Benefits…

Weapons-grade clueless.

Via RCP:

“Extending unemployment insurance has been very much a part of the president’s plan. It’s part of the American Jobs Act. It’s something that has enjoyed bipartisan support in the past, and should, we hope, enjoy bipartisan support this year,” White House press secretary Jay Carney said about extending the time one can be on unemployment insurance.

Carney then argued writing unemployment checks is good for the economy and in fact, creates jobs.

“In addition to those who have found themselves unemployed and are unemployed for a substantial period of time, unemployment insurance has been recognized by outside economists and by members of both parties as vital assistance to an economy to help it grow and create jobs,” Carney said.

Occupy Boston Thug Arrested After Brandishing Knife And Threatening To Stab Man…

Cornel West seen nodding in approval.

Via Boston Globe:

A man who told MBTA Transit Police he is living in the Occupy Boston encampment was arrested Sunday after he allegedly threatened to stab a man near the South Station bus terminal.

The victim, whose name was not released, told police he was standing outside the terminal around 5:20 p.m. with his girlfriend when the suspect, Christian Boucher, started “checking her out,’’ according to a transit police report.

“Hey, mommy, you free?” Boucher allegedly said to the woman. He also asked the man if his girlfriend — who is also his fiancee — was working as a prostitute, police said. When the man told Boucher to stop harassing him and his girlfriend, Boucher allegedly pulled out a folding knife.

“According to the victim, the suspect then took out a silver knife and brandished the weapon toward him and stated he was a Latin King and was not to be messed with or he would ‘stab him up,’” according to the transit police report.

Cornel West On Occupy Wall Street: Ultimate Fight For Entitlements Will Be In “The Streets”…

Sounds like a threat to me.

Via RCP:

“I think the problem is that the poor children, keep in mind it’s 42% of poor children who live at or near poverty, it’s 25% in poverty. Our audience needs to keep that in mind.” Cornel West said on MSNBC this afternoon.

“Poor children need more than just a $1000 for their family, they need a war against poverty to make it a major priority in the way which we have a priority for Afghanistan, and a priority to bail out banks, and a priority to defend corporate interests when it comes to environmental issues,” West said about more and new entitlements for the poor.

Professor West didn’t just call for a another war on poverty (the first war was fought by Lyndon B. Johnson), but went on to say that the push for more entitlements “is going to be fought in the streets.” West showered the Occupy movement with praise for making people aware of the issue.

“It’s a major question of priorities here. That’s why the Occupy movement is so important because some of this is going to be fought in the streets. Civil disobedience does make a difference,” he said.

Harry Reid Proposes Bill That Could Stop States From Enforcing Immigration Laws…

Crazy.

Via Beltway Confidential:

Democrats in Congress have proposed a new racial profiling ban that could thwart state and local laws on immigration enforcement, such as the controversial Arizona law currently tied up in federal court, by witholding federal funding for state and local law enforcement agencies engaged in “racial profiling” and empowering the Department of Justice (DOJ) to file lawsuits against state and local governments.

Sens. Harry Reid, D-Nev., and lead sponsor Ben Cardin, D-Md., are pushing the End Racial Profiling Act of 2011, which would, among other things, “withhold federal law enforcement funding if local and state governments failed to adopt effective policies that prohibit racial profiling” and “require the Attorney General to report on ongoing discriminatory profiling practices.” Those reports could provide the basis for federal lawsuits against the state or local entities, filed by the Department of Justice (DOJ) or by individuals who believe they have been racially profiled.

Reid co-sponsored a similar version of the bill in 2004. According to Cardin’s office, the newer bill has been updated specifically to reflect concerns about unfair immigration enforcement practices.

Occupy Portland: Police Raid Homes Taken Over By Occupiers, Find Stash Of Weapons, Body Armor, Machetes, Drugs…

For some reason I doubt this will stop the Dems from fawning over OWS.

PORTLAND (KGW) — Police have raided several Northeast Portland homes taken over by anarchists who claimed they were part of the Occupy Wall Street movement.

Police were tipped off about the situation Sunday. Responding officers found that the squatters had changed the locks on the homes.

Inside they found anarchist literature, drugs and weapons, including machetes.

“There’s the body armor in there, the bucket of projectiles: broken up concrete, rocks,” Portland Police Sgt. Jeff McDaniel told KGW. “There was some body-armor-type stuff for someone who might want to fight the police for one of the protests.”
