What exactly is he saying here? He seems to state that he knows his daughters are set for life, that they will be filthy rich, go to the best schools, get any job they like for the simple fact that they are his kids. OK, a bit obnoxious to actually state the obvious (like he’s bragging), but true enough.
Then he goes on to acknowledge that there exist people in America who do become successes, not because of affirmative action or connections, but because they are truly intelligent and work hard. Obama goes on to lament that the sheltered life that his daughters will lead will keep them oblivious to even that basic tenet. I’m surprised he wasn’t too sheltered to realize this.
And my guess will be that one daughter will be sent to Princeton and one to Columbia as “gifts” to the universities for letting Michelle and Barack in through affirmative action once upon a time. Sort of like how W. sent his smart daughter to Yale and the other one to Texas, except there won’t be a smart daughter being sent from the Obamas (preparations are already being made on hiding all records of the Obama daughters’ test scores–or else the printouts of perfect SAT scores have already been prepared for them when it’s time).
He’ll have to take a DNA test before I believe those are his kids.

A couple of months ago I made some off the cuff remark about those kids, my daughter was upset, she said “MOM! they’re just little kids, you don’t really feel that way do you?”

I got nothing for ‘em, nothing. The best thing that could happen, as far as I’m concerned is, the plane they’re in with their parents will go down.
