(LA Times) — Most of the roughly 300 Occupy L.A. protesters were released from jail by Friday evening, with some immediately speaking out on the police raid that cleared their camp.
One speaker suggested that some of those arrested might need therapy. Several said they felt traumatized after witnessing police use nonlethal force and being forced to wait for hours in zip-tie handcuffs. Some displayed cuts on their wrists from the handcuffs. Others complained that they were forced to urinate in bags on the bus as they were transported to jails.
One speaker urged others to document any complaints. “Make note of every single violation of human rights,” she told those assembled.

… Kinda ironic how those who are the very first people to attack and undermine the fundamental nature and foundation of rights… are the very first to invoke them.
They have explicit contempt for legitimate law(s) and the rights of others… but the moment the consequences of their hypocritical, illegal, and rights-disregarding actions catch up with them, they Romney… er, I mean, flip-flop… and whistle a different tune.
What are these people going to do when the economy completely crashes and they find out that they have to fend for themselves?
The sad and sick thing is, they will have no problem finding lawyers to represent them, and their bullshit lawsuits will tie up the courts for years to come. And I’ll bet some liberal lefty judge will award them damages and force the police/city to pay them for being so “traumatized”.
Isn’t it odd that they worry about ‘human rights violations’, except when those violations are their own. What about the people’s right to walk down the street unmolested? To operate their businesses without them being looted or damaged? To conduct business without your customers being chased away? To drive your car without being stopped and held for hours on a bridge or street? To leave a building without being pushed down the stairs? To live peacefully in your home without having a violent crowd standing on your lawn, screaming obscenities at you?
I guess they figure that no one else has rights, but them.
As for peeing in a bag….isn’t that an improvement to peeing where you sleep, eat and sit?
