Occupy Boston Protester: “Our Movement As a Whole Became Fascist”…

Heartache.

Via Boston Herald:

Mayor Thomas M. Menino, who ordered the occupiers out of the square by midnight Thursday and then took his time before giving the police the green light to sweep in, just drove by Dewey Square for a look-see for himself. He waited, waited … then moved as the tent city had almost cleared out on its own. [...]

Dispirited Occupy member Stephen Campbell, 24, said when asked why he didn’t get arrested, he said he withdrew from the camp early today as the end was clearly in sight. “The Occupy Boston movement as a whole became fascist,” he said, adding he still believes in the Occupy idea but not the organization. “At a general assembly this week we spent four hours trying to evict people rather than focusing on our political causes.” He went on to say the general assembly betrayed the movement, so he left the Dewey Square encampment before he got arrested. He also told the Herald’s Dan O’Brien that Boston police were the smartest in the nation by coaxing occupiers out. “They got Occupy Boston to leave, themselves.”

I think the movement is more anarchist or nihilist but the guy is at least warm anyway.

“…he still believes in the Occupy idea but not the organization”

Welcome to reality. It can be argued that many of the ideals of communism are well-intentioned and positive, but put them into practice and they quickly evolve into an oppressive system.

Occupy didn’t become fascist. It was fascist from day 1 hence the Occupy part and their demand for an end to Capitalism in favor of Socialism—which is legalized theft. The Occupiers claim to protest “corporate greed” by demanding taxpayers pay for their college, pay for their food, give them welfare, and all their dreams in life, etc…….. Occupy was never a just movement. But the Tea Party is, and the TP has solutions. The TP is full of hard working Americans who want to make America a better and more safe place for the next generation. If you were actually conned into thinking that Occupy was a non-violent & righteous cause, you probably believed Obama’s lies and voted for him in 2008. So now is the time to open your eyes, get serious about your own damn life, and throw the bums and socialists out of office in 2012. It’s time to restore the Constitution.

The movement was fascist to start with. Their message was our way or the highway – much like their fascist buddy, Ocommy.

The Fascists were Socialists as were the Nazis. Everyone should read Jonah Goldberg’s book “Liberal Fascism”. It will transform your understanding of where Socialism came from and why they think like they do. This book is an absolute must read for Conservatives and American patriots.

Now that you clowns have been “evicted” how about trying this: Go occupy a job. I hear Alabama suddenly has a lot of openings….you may not be starting out at the top, but hey, none of the rest of us did either. At least you could start working off that college debt you’re all so angst’d up about.

Liberalism¹ is fascism². See Jonah Goldberg’s book

    —–
¹ From dictionary.com [caps added]:In the twentieth century, a viewpoint or ideology associated with free political institutions and religious toleration, as well as support for a STRONG ROLE OF GOVERNMENT in REGULATING CAPITALISM and CONSTRUCTING THE WELFARE STATE.

² From wiktionary [caps added]: A political regime, having TOTALITARIAN ASPIRATIONS, ideologically based on a relationship between business and the centralized government, business-AND-GOVERNMENT CONTROL of the market place, repression of criticism or opposition, a leader cult and EXALTING THE STATE and/or religion ABOVE INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS.

The movement “became” fascist? Ya don’t say…

Agreed with above Liberal Fascism is a must read… Especially for the sincere do-gooder liberal.

I’m thinking most liberals would cringe upon learning that Woodrow Wilson & Benito Mussolini were members of a mutual admiration society & Pen Pals.

question: since this is all just free speech, how would the Occupiers feel if Westboro Baptist Church were to Occupy Barney Frank’s office?

I actually feel sorry for people like him who thought they were really doing something good. The best thing we could do right now would be to explain to them (during our deprogramming sessions) why we always knew it was run by fascists and communists, and why we should be banding together to hold the corrupt among us accountable.

Which form of misery is it they’re after?

“Marxism, Socialism, or Communism in practice are nothing but state-capitalism and rule by a privileged minority, exercising despotic and total control over a majority having virtually no property or legal rights. As is discussed elsewhere herein, Talmudic Judaism is the progenitor of modem Communism and Marxist collectivism as it is now applied to a billion or more of the world’s population.”
    http://www.come-and-hear.com/dilling/chapt11.html

Where socialism sought totalitarian control of a society’s economic processes through direct state operation of the means of production, fascism sought that control indirectly, through domination of nominally private owners. Where socialism nationalized property explicitly, fascism did so implicitly, by requiring owners to use their property in the “national interest”—that is, as the autocratic authority conceived it. (Nevertheless, a few industries were operated by the state.) Where socialism abolished all market relations outright, fascism left the appearance of market relations while planning all economic activities. Where socialism abolished money and prices, fascism controlled the monetary system and set all prices and wages politically. In doing all this, fascism denatured the marketplace. Entrepreneurship was abolished. State ministries, rather than consumers, determined what was produced and under what conditions.

And, if Stephen and his associates in the Occupier movement, could actually ‘think’, they’d realize that that is EXACTLY what is going on amongst US today, under this ‘administration’.

P.S. The Occupiers role was to advance that sort of control by an effort to force a more vigorous control of the economy by this ‘administration’.
