MSNBC daytime anchor Thomas Roberts says Mitt Romney’s “Keep America American” slogan plays homage to the Ku Klux Klan. The patriotic slogan, which is used in this ad, was apparently used by the KKK in the early 1900s.
Somehow the folks at MSNBC believe Mitt Romney is acknowledging his Klan roots by using the slogan in his 2012 campaign for the presidency.
Update: You know it was bad when they force Matthews to apologize for something he had nothing to do with.

Not a big Romney fan but this kind of thing is wrong. Especially since MSNBC would never dare to do anything remotely similar to a Muslim Candidate even though it would be closer to the truth.

They find some clip, some piece of an ad, a piece of a statement, a cropped photo and get the tingle up their ass that they can use this against some conservative.. They know if the surrounding information is presented, their insinuations go straight to hell. So they take a gamble and say ‘We’ll back off if pressured by saying we didn’t see the entire clip or listen to the whole audio segment’.
