Occupiers Heckle “Mic Check” Gingrich Speech…
Oh snap, you guys showed him who’s boss!

Before beginning a campaign event in a packed lecture hall at the University of Iowa, Newt Gingrich was interrupted by Occupy Wall Street protesters.
“Mic check!” a protester yelled, a phrase used by the movement to begin a chant. Mr. Gingrich didn’t appear to catch on at first. “What’s wrong?” he said.
Shouting ensued for about five minutes as the protesters complained the former House speaker had an arrogant attitude toward poor people and ignored child labor laws. They were soon escorted out.
“I’m going to try to talk over them,” said Mr. Gingrich, an outspoken critic of the Occupy movement. “I appreciate the 95% of you, maybe even the 99% of you, who will actually have an intelligent discussion and are not going to be drowned out by the 1% who try to impose their will by making noise.”

I was there.
It was 10-15 people; college kids for the most part. A few men in the audience became very angry, one even grabbed the script from the “mic checker”‘s hands. They stopped within five minutes and could be seen talking about their little stunt in the lobby afterwards. They really like to make themselves feel important. They think they are so clever too; during the Q&A, the final questioner said that Gingrich seems to have a PhD in “cheating on your wife”. Classless and arrogant these people are (and I’m not even a Gingrich supporter!).
When soon will there be a open season on these smelly stinkholes?
