I’m sure the self-serving tools could care less.

Did they use children as road blocks?
Lay down in front of my truck….Please!…But Judge, I feared for my life from all the shouting and pounding on my windows….yeah thats it.
Down with the GREEDY NEEDY!
Once again, this is the fault of the City Officials of Portland and the citizens of this Libtard hellhole.
Without the cooperation of both, this shit would not happen.
The OWS crap is dead everywhere except Portland and California.
Screw them both.
@Rufus – Columbia, SC still has Occupodders.
It scares me how easily people who are so clueless can be lead by people who are so evil.
Anyone think those “food vulnerable” voters will connect the dots here and vote ABO?
Shhh…don’t tell the msm!
Blocking food for needy people? During the holidays? Seriously? Are you fucking kidding me?
Can anyone say … ‘Cloward/Pliven Strategy’ ?
I’m sure there are still several cities where these scumballs are still protesting, but they’ve lost all their media attention and whatever “power” they had.
Except for the west coast, where the municipal governments are supporting them.
If the citizens of these places wanted to stop the protests, they would. I have zero sympathy for any of them.
Cloward/Piven and few eggs make a omelet!
Yes, they are indeed doing it on purpose.
It’s a power trip for the left. All they care about is POWER over others. They could care less about the cause. They’ll rationalize an excuse later on that puts the blame for their illegal acts on someone else.
Compare and contrast these young people helping the unfortunate with the smelly hippy young people at Occupation______ fill in the blank.
Guess which ones were raised in conservative households and which were raised by leftest.
Why would there need to be a “filter” in place to allow volunteers through?? Isn’t there laws against domestic terrorism?? What about the “free” flow of commerce?? These idiots need to be dealt with quickly and with full force of the law!
What are they doing, trying to starve the needy into membership in their cause? And if that doesn’t work, I guess they will use the threat of violence. Sounds just like the Soviets, doesn’t it?
Glaring example of the dirt bag Occupiers and the wholesome good hearted people in our country … Nixon called them the” silent majority” Hooray for the internet…
We have a new definition for “DumbAss”……..it now says:
“OWS” see “self inflicted ignorance”.
Maybe the rachel corrie tactics should be used………..
“One of the more disappointing side effects of the shutdown…?”
Because they were expecting this to be positive??
Dirty filthy stinkin hippie pigs they all should be ashamed of themselves and as for the jerks in those stupid V for VENDETA masks Wouuld you like to pull thier stupid mask off and stomp on it
The Occupiers are just getting cranked up here in Winston Salem, NC., so now I can be ashamed of my Governor and my city. Oh joy.
A classic ‘teachable moment’, the students have now had the opportunity to see a Marxist totalitarian bureaucracy in action.
BRING IN THE FRONTLOADERS AND DUMP STUCKS solent green for christmas dinner
Looks to me that all the truck drivers need are cow-catchers put on the front of their rigs.
Any Police Chief who tries to enforce the law against these terrorists will end up under investigation like Sheriff Joe.
Middleagedhousewife, too late. You should have been ashamed of Gov. Bev when she supported suspension of the 2012 election.
my heart breaks. to see these good kids working so hard to do something wonderful for people TRULY in need, only to be attacked by these evil, hateful slime makes me pray the kids don’t start thinking that evil can overcome their efforts. the “occupiers” of today will become the mobs after 11/12 no matter how it turns out. bozo loses…automatic excuse. same if he wins, they will not be prosecuted no matter what they do. you have more, they have less, they will try to take what you have for “economic justice” and that is what the bozo wants to happen.
Start by kicking the sh*t outta them, then end with tossing them in the Bay. Lesson learned. Repeat as necessary. Hypocrites.
And TIME magazine support them the demacrats support them SHAME ON YOU TIME ,SHAME ON YOU DEMACRATS
Suicide by stupidy…err ummm laying in the road.
Why doesn’t someone drive up and drop a skunk in the middle of their little occuparty?
@Chad: because the skunk still smells better.
i don’t understand the problem: an 18 wheeler loaded with 32,000 pounds of freight vs a few 150 pound protestors? why do the drivers stop in the first place?
This is pretty pedantic. Obviously there was no intent to keep food from those in need. It’s too bad some of these right-wing zealots getting the knickers in a twist don’t have the guts to stand up to their corporate masters. Then maybe some of these hungry people would have jobs and could buy their own food. Corporate America knows that the easiest way to improve the bottom line is to dump a bunch of Jobs. I just read that this year the 20 highest paid CEOs cut 50,000 American jobs this year, and 13 of them actually lowered the wages of their employees.
Big surprise here. Truck drivers have more compassion and regard for human life than the occutards.
And as for Gov. Bev, she has just handed the keys to the governor’s mansion to Pat McCrory. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are tired of picking his arse off the floor and driving him home from campaign events. Now that will fall to the State Troopers, as if they didn’t have enough problems. Come to NC for the BBQ, stay for the political circus!
Bring back the water hoses and dogs. that will clear them out. Jimmy Hoffa would not have allowed a Port to be shut down. He could clear them out. What is sad, is thePorts will need a sudo “Berlin Airlift”. In our own country, tsk, tsk. It is sad, very sad. I am just glad I grow my own food, hunt and produce my own electricity. Have a Blessed Day and a Merry Christmas.
@aroundthebend: How it is obvious? It seems obvious from the report that they were indeed intending to keep food from those in need, as their intent was to BLOCK THE PORT. That means the port is blocked. For ALL uses. They’re either smart enough to know that ports are used for lots of things, and therefore didn’t care (and intended) to block delivery, or they aren’t bright enough to know that a port is more than “a capitalist tool of the evil 1%” (or whatever baloney they wrap around their ‘thoughts’), in which case we also now know something important about the Occupiers.
What right-wing zealots are you referring to? Nobody on this thread has so identified, so where are you seeing this (and why are you not commenting on it THERE instead of HERE)?
Additionally, how do you know they have “corporate masters”? And how do you know they are NOT “standing up to” them? Seems as if you’ve already made so very many perilous assumptions that one can probably safely ignore anything you have to say as demented, ill informed (if not completely uninformed) and totally off the rails. But let’s press on.
How would “standing up to [one's] corporate masters” translate exactly into jobs for some hungry people who would then be able to buy their own food? Oh, wait, you don’t really have any idea, do you – you’re just mouthing talking points you don’t even fully understand. Apologies, I forgot that the first part of your post set the tone, and I accidentally expected reason and rational thought from you. I’ll try not to let it happen again.
I’m pretty sure corporate America (at least a select slice) would have been more than happy to dump a bunch of Jobs, unfortunately there was only one Steve and he’s already “dumped.” Other than Steve Jobs, I don’t know of any other Jobs that they dump. Certainly none which improve their bottom line. Oops, I did it again – I assumed you were literate. My bad. You were just mis-capitalizing there, right? You meant “little j” jobs? Well, yeah, it’s not just corporate America, but anybody with a lick of business sense, who can tell you that you improve the bottom line drastically in the short term by dumping jobs. It’s one of the most effective short-term cost cutting measures available, as it instantly reduces overhead (expense). Why is that a bad thing? And you just read (where? citation, please) something about the 20 highest paid CEOs? Who cut jobs? So they brought profitability in trying economic times to their company, keeping it out of the bankruptcy courts and alive and profitable, yet this is a bad thing? 13 of them lowered wages? Hm, were the employees forced at gunpoint to accept those wages, and prevented from seeking other jobs? If “no”, then you realize your point is invalid for use in supporting your argument, right, since they *chose* to accept that lower pay? Just checking. And your solution would be what, exactly? A company should go under if it ever needs to let go an employee? Companies must never lower wages? Companies must never fire employees? I call shenanigans, and that only because I’m trying to stay family-friendly.
I’ll summarize my thoughts to your post: you’re a reactionary, ill-informed, weak-thinking, possible shill and/or troll, poor commenter, who added nothing of substance to the discussion. Go away.
Houston and Atlanta still have Occutards.
Houston’s liberal gayass mayor won’t make them move. Atlanta threw theirs out but they keep coming back.
