Ron Paul: Al-Qaeda Wants To Attack Us “Because We’re Bombing Them,” “We Killed a Million Iraqis”…

Alternate post headline: Why Ron Paul will never be president.

Note how he makes the bizarre claim the IAEA has “no proof” Iran is enriching uranium for nuclear weapons.

    There is no doubt there is a shape-shifter in Congress. One day, he appears as Ron Paul…other days he is Dennis Kucinich.

    I have never seen these two together at the same time. I think it is the same creature. Sure sounds as if both have the same problem with reality.

  16. Brock SOE Toro says:

    There should have been a straight jacket crew with butterfly nets at the ready waiting for him after that debate.. It was sad to see the old man crumble in the face of facts/history and truth. His 30+ years in congress without ANY respect at all from anyone other than Dennis K. and a couple of anti-war anti-everything kooks should tell you something…

    How can he lead the nation if he can’t even get a few congress critters to follow him on his quest to the best conservative in the field??? No leadership skills but one hell of a complainer and blamer. We got one of those now and it don’t work out so well.

  20. Katherine says:
    December 15, 2011 at 11:53 pm

    @Brock SOE Toro

    Correct. Odd that Paul doesn’t remember that show of strength, that calling of Kruschev’s hand with our own ships.

    Additionally, what is this “1 million” Iraqis killed by the U.S.? Bullshit! Their fellow Muslims, the suicide bombers have killed more Iraqis than we did throughout the entire war and afterward.

    Ron Paul is a crazy old man. Certifiably crazy.

    @ Gary from Utah – And its true. I have been able to peg every Paul supporter I’ve met in under two minutes if our discussion turned to politicsl. Loud, obnoxious, belligerent, tin-hat conspiratorial and even on occasion, threatening, seems to be characteristic of Paulbots.

    If you have a few minutes to spare, Google the America First movement from the 1930′s, which famously included Charles Lindbergh. The question to consider is whether the America First movement delayed the opening of hostilities by Japan in 1941.

    These people were just as convinced as Ron Paul that we should avoid “meddling in European wars”. And they were just as wrong.

    And this man thinks he should be President of the United States. Not while I can still vote.

  41. John Adams says:
    December 16, 2011 at 1:53 am

    It is indeed unfortunate that otherwise well-meaning patriots will marginalize other patriotic citizens who seek to hold their government accountable to the Constitution of this United States. When a government spends more on its foreign interests than investing in its own country and its people, its days are numbered.

    While all other sciences have advanced, that of government is at a standstill-little better understood, little better practiced now than three or four thousand years ago.

    We make ourselves a target, we poke our nose everywhere, bomb everyone and then can’t understand why they resent and hate us?

    sWamp-Ass,

    The Terrorists don’t bomb Switzerland because all of their money is in the Banks up their. If they Bomb Switzerland, they loose all of their money. The U.S. Tried to be Neutral as Switzerland during the 2nd World War. The Japanese attacked us after Germany convinced them too. The World has always recognized the United States as a Super Power since World War 1. Obama now has the World Seeing us a big Joke and even has Iran Laughing at us. China is at this moment building up its Military to take control of the U.S. Iran is building up Nukes to bomb Israel off the map and do major Damage to the U.S. Despite Ron Paul’s attempts to prove otherwise. All the While, Obama is slowly but surely dismantalling our own U.S. Military with the help of the Republican (RINO) Congress and the Democrat/RINO Senate. He is majorly reducing Troop Numbers, Stopping production of Ships, Aircraft, and the production of more advanced weapons. At the same time, he is stopping a chance to get off of the Middle East Oil dependency while at the same time preventing the creation of THOUSANDS, perhaps MILLIONS of Jobs by not allowing the Keystone Pipeline Project to continue. He would rather have China get the North American Oil than to see America and Canada Jointly Prosper. All the While still propping his ridiculous Jobs Bill that will not create a single job.

    Paul is a fucking idiot – he does not even know what happened during the Cuban missile crisis – that was evident by his comment. When Bachmann was referring to “an avowed madman” I started thinking of Ron Paul.

    There is no doubt that America needs to seriously consider and change its priorities as Paul was essentially saying, but his premises are way the hell off, and that makes him a danger to America also – most especially if he were POTUS.

    Ron Paul’s percentages are rising not because his campaign is picking up steam. It’s because the other candidates are looking worse. Oh course, that’s just my opinion. I could be entirely wrong. However, I do believe that Mr. Paul has more common sense than the rest of the pack. Newt’s positions make a lot of sense too and he has the track record to back it up. Neither men are idiots. Of course, you may feel different. That’s your opinion and you could be entire wrong too. Remember, we still have what?…eleven months? A lot can happen until then. 1. Our troops who fought for Iraq would have died in vain
    2. Our economy would grind to a halt with skyrocketed gas prices
    3. WE DON’T HAVE TO MONEY TO PAY FOR ANOTHER DAMN WAR!

  63. MWR says:
    December 16, 2011 at 10:22 am

    @Ted

    Ted, where in the world do you get the impression that, just because we don’t care for Ron Paul’s skewed foreign policy, we somehow WANT to go to war with Iran? Very few people ever WANT to go to war. What I WANT is a frigging president who supports the internal strife that’s ongoing in Iran and doesn’t abandon those protesters out of some asinine “unclenched fist” policy like the d!ckhead currently in office. I don’t think Ron Paul would sniff in their direction; he’d call it an “internal affair.” And that’s just as bad, in my book.

    We shouldn’t fight all the world’s battles. But that doesn’t mean the world’s battles are irrelevant to us.

The moment our troops are gone, the Shiites in Iraq will begin to coalesce with those in Iran and the two countries will become as one. Therefore, all your handwringing is entirely misdirected, which for a Paulbot, is not uncommon.
