I always thought Bawney was incapable of telling the truth.

You know when hard facts and admittance of some wrong doings starts falling from turds like this….the image of the sinking ship can’t be far behind…..

How queer. Barney Frank speaking truth.
Dapandico
Bwaney needs to tell the kool aid sipping moonbats what Solyndra is. Don’t want them to think it involves a gerbil and a cardboard tube.
lamchops
Even a blind perverted gerbil occasionally stumbles across an acorn.

What we didn’t get to hear, was that the mistake was “in getting caught”.

Who cares want Barney Frank thinks in regards to Solyndra, to me it’s a deflection of something 1000 times more serious.
I would rather hear him admit that he is mostly responsible for causing the 3 trillion dollar plus damage to the housing market as an enabler of Freddie Mac and Fanny Mae.
big-pete
His career is over so he’s taking one (so to speak) for team D so they can seem less ideologically rigid. Frank is a professional liar. I wouldn’t believe him if he told me water was wet.
How Many Murdered With Fast and Furious Guns?
Solyndra was a crime.
And please, I watched this and it was 40 seconds of George Will. That’s 40 seconds I will never get back. I cannot waste that much time on useless drivel. Life is too short.

“Solyndra Was a Mistake” completely glosses over the fact that GOVERNMENT HAS NO RIGHT to “invest” our money again our wills.
And no, government did not save the automobile industry. By bailing out GM, government put healthy car companies at a disadvantage, and it wasted taxpayer money that it had no right to spend. It didn’t fix the problem. It only ‘hit the snooze button’.
Capitalism is voluntary investment.
cabrerski
What bothers me is that we gave GM enough cash to delay the inevitable. It is not the same as “saving the company”. Wait until the bill becomes due for their over-production of models such as the Volt. Anything can be “saved” with enough cash to get out of the current news cycle.
The unions and poor management will run companies such as GM into the ground.
gastorgrab
The only thing that was saved by government was GM’s union.
By avoiding bankruptcy and reorganization, government saved high wage and benefit packages for union members. Had GM been forced to reorganize their business model, wages would be much lower (for unskilled positions), and many more people would be employed.
Government saved the jobs of people who already had the best deal in town, at the expense of taxpayers who earn much less. Government has taken money out of the pockets of the ‘poor’, then given the money to the ‘less poor’.
Last but not least, government has victimized the consumer by maintaining the high prices needed to fund the high wages of a GM employee. Cars would be more affordable if labor costs were less.

@gastorgrab
You read my mind. They saved the unions at the expense of the investors, and the taypayers.

I’m so damned sick of everything from felonies on down being called “mistakes”.
My granddaughters are going to be enslaved by the obligation to repay this “mistake”.

Gee Barney, thanks for stopping by(and helping screw everything up).
tigerbythetail
Just stop the subsidies for fraudulent solar ,wind power, ethanol and other “green energy” scams.
All of it is nothing more than money laundering – stealing from the taxpayer, giving to political crony’s, they in turn give it to politicians’ reelection campaigns.
Ed
So the aging queen is trying out his “wise old sage” act in preparation for hitting the rubber chicken lecture circuit upon retirement?
CS_GUY
Actually Barney, it is you who is the “mistake”.
Debbie
If that is a mistake, how do you quantify fraud, abuse of power, financial disaster or abuse of tax payers funds Bawney ?
What qualifications does Obama have to play investment banker with millions of people’s money without their permission ?
Skeptic
Bwarney said it was a mistake because none of his bed partners made any money off this scam.
