Ron Paul was a hot topic this week on the talk radio show hosted by prominent white supremacist Don Black and his son Derek. Mr. Black said he received Mr. Paul’scontroversial newsletters when they were first published about two decades ago and described how the publications were perceived by members of the white supremacist movement. Former KKK Grand Wizard and Louisiana Congressman David Duke also phoned in to explain why he’s voting for Mr. Paul.
“Everybody, all of us back in the 80s and 90s, felt Ron Paul was, you know, unusual in that he had actually been a Congressman, that he was one of us and now, of course, that he has this broad demographic — broad base of support,” Mr. Black said on his broadcast yesterday.
Mr. Black is a former Klansman and member of the American Nazi Party who founded the “white nationalist” website Stormfront in 1995. He donated to Mr. Paul in 2007 and has been photographed with the candidate. Mr. Paul has vocal supporters in Stormfront’s online forum. Mr. Black has repeatedly said he doesn’t currently think Mr. Paul is a “white nationalist.” [...]
Mr. Duke, who was something of a mentor to Mr. Black during their days in the Klan, called in to discuss Mr. Paul. Though he said he wasn’t ready to make an official endorsement, Mr. Duke explained why he’ll be voting for Mr. Paul.
“Again, I go back to that, you know, traditional topic that I always talk about, you know, the powers of international Zionism — a power in banking, a power in media, a power in government influence, in campaign finance — a power that’s, you know, hurting the values of this country on behalf of Israel,” Mr. Duke said. “So, I would vote for Ron Paul at this moment because he’s one of the few candidates who have policies in this regard and this realm that I wholeheartedly support, and that’s why I’d vote for him.”

Morality, as I’ve said above, consists of mastering one’s own instincts through an effort of will. So yes—to those who want to do it, it is natural. “Naturalness”—the gravatar of the leftist, the hippie, the Gaia-worshipper, the pagan—is not the issue. The issue is—did God command us not to do it? If so, it is our job to strive to not do it. Did God command us to do something? If so, we must strive to fulfill that commandment.
“Natural” is not part of the discussion. It is a matter of morality—of Divine commandment. And the commandment exists in order for the people to be holy by refraining from doing something they might do, left to their mere animal instincts.

I have studied the OT for many years, but am not as familiar with the NT. As an alternative to the viewpoints offered here I would like to offer the following ideas and conclusions:
First, there was no real recognition of “homosexuality” for the ancient tribe of Israel. We do know that there was a very strong emotional connection between David and Jonathan and they were very dear to each other. Gay? No. Ever sleep together? Maybe.
But considering that the number of people living on the planet at that time was relatively small, about 85 million total, the threat of plagues and disease and famine wiping out an entire nation or people was significant. People lived in tribal units and power was established by numbers. Clearly the need to reproduce was a societal requirement.
Consider also that men, heterosexual men, were unrestrained in their sexual activities by any notion of morality. Imagine the orgies of the Romans, the cruelties towards animals, rape and enslavement as standard facts of life.
I mention these because that is the context in which the laws were established to protect the Jewish people from baser instincts. We’ve come a long way in terms of what is considered acceptable and normal human behavior. We also do not have to worry about society disappearing, in fact, there are too many of us on this planet at this point.
Consider also the fact that dietary laws make up a great deal more of the book of Leviticus than laws about sex. So food really was more important obviously. I recognize that for some reason, which I do not understand other than the Roman love for roast pig, that Christians consider themselves absolved of the dietary laws. So be it. But these days very few Jews still follow Kosher laws. That’s a fact and they are unapologetic and unrepentant over that.
When I asked my Rabbi’s about their attitude towards homosexuality their answer to me was they believe that G-d’s purpose in creating human beings is served best by people who have love in their lives, that love is a blessing which G-d wishes for us, not to live alone. So the Rabbi’s were not in any way supporting immoral promiscuity; no, they were supporting love and committed relationships.
Honestly, I do find discussions about what people do physically in their sex acts to be irrelevant to the issue of love. I’ve checked out enough porn sites to see that it is quite common for men to get off on sticking their dicks into womens’ faces and/or their asses to know that there is nothing especially natural or sacred about heterosexual sex. I’ve also seen statistics that a very large percentage, about 80%?, of women never experience an orgasm with penis penetration, so it’s quite obvious that “nature” isn’t as perfect as some of you guys think.

In fact, most honest heterosexuals would admit that they don’t have sex simply for reproduction and that even pleasure seeking sex is a skill which needs practice. As people age the sex becomes more about intimacy and less about reproduction or achieving orgasms.
