Palin: Ron Paul Is Pro-Israel, He Just Wants To Protect Them In a Different Way…

I like Palin a lot, but wanting crazy Islamist regimes to wipe Israel off the face of the map isn’t what I’d call a way of protecting them.

    Please run Sarah. Please.

Our current group of misfits is a total disaster.

We have someone more liberal than Obama who is going to win the nomination. And he’s a Mormon! Nothing wrong with that but I worry about the fundamentalists staying home. Some of them actually believe Mormonism is a cult.

We really really need you to do what did for Senator McCain.

I saw the interview. There are some very good reasons she isn’t running and statements like this are part of her problem. Sometimes you have to call a nut a nut even if you get nasty email for your troubles.

If you are serious about keeping this country sane you have a responsibility to point out the lunacy of RP.

In keeping with Ron Paul’s non-interventionist policy, I guess he won’t mind if Israel nukes all the Muslims pre-emptively.

I’m not sure that clip was as bad as it’s made out to be. Ms. Palin is smart enough to not be overly critical of any potential candidate at this point, plus she and Paul may be considered for cabinet posts and could find themselves working together.

  10. a former dem says:
    January 2, 2012 at 6:56 pm

Ron Paul’s statements make sense if we dont’ live the reality we live in, when it comes to foreign policy, his domestic limited govt policies I agree with a lot.

We live in times when Iran is suppressing its own people, they are run by radical nutjobs, they want the bomb to threaten their neighbors, this is the reality, so the policies have to be made accordingly. The military complex, some parts of his statements I agree with, like cutting waste, invest in things that will protect america, cut those that don’t. So Ron Paul’s statements, foreign policy things, some make sense, but make don’t, especially with the dangers the world faces. We are where we are, and that has to be basis for any foreign policy.

As for Palin, I like her, she has a strong libetarian streak in her, I like that about her as well.

As a conservative Canadian i can only say: Jesus Mary and Joseph! When are you folks down there going to get your act together? The fact that Ron Paul is even a candidate is bad enough, but how can you not have a decent contender in a country of 300 million plus? I once watched a survivor show where one of the contestants trie to win by fishing all day and keeping his head down. Is that Rick Santorum? Is that the best you can come up with: the only guy who isnt totally unsuited?
    Rant concluded.

Let me say it again, Sarah Palin is NOT agreeing with Ron Paul.

Ron Paul is also not the core of Libertarianism. He does not speak for all Libertarians. Most Libertarians do not WORSHIP any candidate. Yes, about 80% of what Ron Paul says is correct and would solve a lot of problems in our country. The remaining 20% of his platform, however, makes him totally unacceptable as a candidate.

As for his reasoning for why al-Qaeda decided to attack the United States in the first place, i would remind him that a president’s task is not to find fault, but to find solutions. Until they put it out, firemen shouldn’t worry so much about WHY a house is on fire.

    ————-

The fact is that most of them are suitable candidates. We are now looking more closely at our GOP candidates than at any other time history at a time when we still don’t know very much at all about our sitting president.

Everything looks grainy when you stand too close. We shouldn’t be asking ourselves why we don’t feel the way about our candidates as Democrats feel about Obama. DEMOCRATS HAVE AN UNNATURAL RELATIONSHIP with the people they choose to represent them. Whereas socially-dependent Liberals expect people in government to be “more evolved” than themselves, FREE men should know better than to respect any hierarchy. FREE men are their own masters! They don’t bow to anyone.

Having listened to that. Maybe have to listen a couple of times. But the majority of what she says is making sense to me.

“Ron Paul evidently has other ideas how he is supporting Israel” …and then she kind of has a questioning look. Which seems she isn’t so keen about him.

I dunno. Is it diplomacy amongst them? Not sure.

Although, some time back whenever, I think she had said something to positive effect about working with Obama. OR did I dream that? Have to see if there can be found some info on that.

Palin has always played both sides of the aisle to get where she is…I’ve tried to tell people that…most of them to no avail.

You better believe her hubby is all for Paul…she won’t go all the way there publically unless Paul happens to sweep some states in Jan and March….then she’ll feel safe enough to jump in…that’s Palin’s way…PLAY IT SAFE!

  38. James says:
    January 3, 2012 at 2:50 am

Lets clear some of this up

Ron Paul doesnt want to “cut aid to Israel” he wants to cut aid to “EVERYONE”

He is not highlighting Isreal for a cut.

but, yes. Israel like every other county will not be getting any foreign aid under Ron Paul, and this HELPS ISRAEL.

Why you ask? well because we also give money to every other country around Israel 7 times the amount we give to our friend Israel.

The only reason why they NEED our money for defence is because we give money to their enemies. If we stop funding the enemies of Israel, Israel is better off.

Not to mention that when Israel is forced to take our money to defend against the money with throw at their enemies, it comes with strings attached. Why do you think Netanyahu was so polite to Obama, when Obama was treating him so horribly. Two reasons.

    1. Netanyahu has class
    2. netanyahu has to lick Obama’s boots to keep the funds to balance out the funds with give to people trying to kill Israel.

If we stop ALL aid to EVERYONE, then Israel is in a better financial position for defence, and they also can act as a proud free people should; not caring what our leaders think.

  39. James says:
    January 3, 2012 at 3:00 am

Also, Ron Paul isnt about weakening our military.

He is for upping defence, and cutting offence.

He is a big supporter of increasing the size of our submarine fleet, and out strike/ intercept capable vessels.

He just thinks that we can trust countries like Japan and Germany to pay for their own defence. We dont need to have bases in these countries.

Keep in mind, we are the army that keeps them safe, they spend Sooooo much less on their defence now that we are in their back yards. (Japan is an exception because of some treaties, but this applies to most of western Europe) They pay for their welfare states by slashing defence, knowing that we will protect them.

Why should i pay to defend Germany?

What happened to the words of George Washington and his Fare well address?

Have you all forgoten what he told us about leaving the crazy people of europe to their madness? He said we should trade with all, and by allies with NONE.

Ron Paul is saying nothing different that what George Washington said in his life, and summed up in his fairwell address.

Do all of you people really think so little of George Washington, or have you all just forgotten?

    Ask yourself that… please.

  41. scherado says:
    January 3, 2012 at 4:16 am

Ron Paul thinks foreign policy is child’s play—literally; He has a child’s view of how to behave toward nations/countries/harborers who want to destroy our country: “Don’t do anything to any nation that we don’t want done to ourselves”. (C-SPAN) This is the ethos of the sandbox! We could NOT have invaded Germany in 1944 using Ron Paul’s immature calculations.

He can not be Commander In Chief.

  42. Wild Thing says:
    January 3, 2012 at 4:50 am

Please go away Sarah. Your comments have gotten worse and worse and you had your chance. Take a few years off and maybe one day when you get your head on straight you can be a candidate again….who knows.

Palin does more damage each time she speaks and has been doing this too much.

I hate thinking this way, I used to be a huge supporter of Sarah Palin, but I am not the one making her say the idiotic things she keeps saying. She does that on her own. She has a lot to learn about being responsible in her comments when she has this kind of media vehicle with FOX to speak out.

  43. scherado says:
    January 3, 2012 at 5:27 am

Palin seems ill, physically or mentally; or under the influence of prescription drugs (I would never suggest illegal use.)

I loved Sarah Palin when she suddenly appeared. Since then, she has made more than a few bad descisions.

  44. eaglewingz08 says:
    January 3, 2012 at 8:54 am

I am totally shocked by Sarah’s statements that Ron Paul is protecting Israel in a different way. How can she dare to criticize Obam’s virulent anti Israel policies when Obama is an Israeli hawk when compared to Ron Paul. There comes a time for moral courage and for declaring that a candidatw has crossed the bounds of acceptable public discourse. Ron Paul crossed the line and Sarah failed to show moral courage by not calling him out on it. For shame.

  45. Dave says:
