Indonesia: Bumper Sticker Advocating “Friendly Islam” Sends Muslim Hard-Liners Into a Frenzy, Attack Church…
Islamists have become a parody of themselves.
(Jakarta Globe) — A bumper sticker prompted members of the hard-line Islamic Reform Movement to attack several members of the GKI Yasmin church on Sunday.
The bumper sticker, on the back of a church member’s car, said, “We need a friendly Islam, not an angry Islam.”
Scores of vociferous Muslims from the group known as the Islamic Reform Movement (Garis) terrorized members of the congregation who came to the church’s New Year’s Eve service in Bogor, GKI Yasmin spokesman Bona Sigalingging said.
Garis chairman Majudien was infuriated by the sticker and began to run after the car. The incident led the congregation to disband and move the service to the home of one of the members.
“What is the aim of that sticker being put there? That is a provocative action against us, the Muslims of Bogor,” Majudien said.
Bona said that the sticker was a souvenir that was distributed by the family of the late former Indonesian President Abdurrahman Wahid during a commemoration of his death on Friday.

When I was Active Duty Military, the 2 Carriers I was on (USS America CV-66 & USS Kitty Hawk CV-63) made port of call Visits to Dubai, Abu Dabi, and Bahrain in Saudi Arabia. We had to secretly attend Church Services at one of the Member’s Houses. We were told NOT to bring a Bible because they had bibles for us already. We were told that if we were caught carrying a Bible, we would be arrested and probably killed. This was in supposedly peaceful Saudi Arabia where we get Most of our Oil. Most Islamic Countries will not allow any other religion. Now it seems thanks to Obama’s Arab Spring, even the Ones that used to allow it, no longer will. Thanks Obama, Real Christian like of you. YES, I believe Obama was responsible for the Arab Spring. The Protesters in Egypt were trained one year in advance by Obama’s Best Buddies Bill Ayers and Bernadene Dorn.
