Santorum: “Ron Paul Is Disgusting”…

Via Fox News:

“Ron Paul is disgusting,” presidential candidate Rick Santorum said to a handful of Fox News and Business reporters shortly after his Fox and Friends interview Tuesday morning.

Santorum blamed his rival for Iowa robo calls that claimed that the former U.S. senator from Pennsylvania was Pro-Choice and against the second amendment.

Paul’s son, Senator Rand Paul, R-Ky., who has been campaigning with his dad in Iowa this week, was asked by Fox Business reporter Peter Barnes about the robo calls.

“I haven’t heard the robo calls, but the thing is, he hasn’t been scrutinized yet, so it’s his turn,” Rand Paul said.

Ron Paul disgusting??? Why? Because he tells the truth? Because of his views on foreign policy?? Yeah, Mr Santorum…how’s that foreign policy working for you now. I think this nation’s course needs a correction, and Ron Paul is the only one willing to face the issues and turn the wheel. Otherwise, we’ll see more war, spending, joblessness, and wounded soldiers. Now what is more disgusting? Someone please tell me because we now live in a world where insanity rules.

“I haven’t heard the robo calls, but the thing is, he hasn’t been scrutinized yet, so it’s his turn,” Rand Paul said.

    Hasn’t been “scrutinized” yet?

Okay, sure. But two things leap to mind.

    1) First, Paul supporters have gotten awfully testy that their man has been “scrutinized” in the past few weeks. They insist that Ron Paul has “taken full responsibility” for the newsletters, when in fact he’s blamed it on an unnamed underling and demanded that we now move on. His ghostwriter theory is laughable. The guy who wrote them is the guy whose name is on them–Ron Paul. That’s not “taking responsibility”. His cult doesn’t want to see any “scrutiny” of their candidate. None whatsoever. It’s never fair game, it’s always a “smear” to look into Ron Paul’s past statements, his voting record, etc.

    2) Lying about someone is not “scrutinizing”. IF the Paul campaign is responsible for the robocalls (big IF), that’s just defamation. Rick Santorum is not anti-2nd Amendment and he’s not “pro-choice”. That’s misinformation, not “scrutiny”.

Ron Paul is such a lying sack. I thought his son was better, but obviously he’s not.

Speaking of never having been scrutinized, I’m betting the MSM is rubbing it’s collective palms together in anticipation of ending all this vetting of the Right candidates so they can get back to worshi…oh I mean ‘scutinizing’ Barry. If he had been investigated a tenth of what Republicans have to endure, he’d still be voting present in the Senate instead of living high off our hog.

Ron Paul borders on isolationism which is just not possible these days – the oceans won’t protect us as they once did. His unabashed disrespect of the military bothers me as well.

God bless America, our troops, Israel, and decent fellow humans everywhere.

So, all is fair in love and lying political robo calls, Ran Paul? (But all is not fair in war.) I guess he would not object to the scrutiny of robo calls saying he wrote the racist, antisemitic Ron Paul newsletters.

  8. Hickster says:
    January 3, 2012 at 10:10 am

On the Isolationistic Idea, that would seem the way to go. Let the rest of the planet carry on w/out the USA involvements.

Yet, realistic, I suppose that would not be possible. But it would be preferrable. If there were a way. At least for some duration.

But if an EMP happens, I guess we wouldn’t have to worry our heads about it anyhow.

Santorum: Keep plowing on Man! Gads, this country needs somebody willing to say it straight.

Anything would be preferable to being over run by foreign nationals. You give up your life or starve to death before you let foreign nationals over run your country. Some politicians have unrealistic fantasies about people and they have imposed their fantasies on the public. If you get rid of the politicians their BS issues will disappear with them.

Ron Paul is a Senator that has done mostly zero. According to O’Reilly, he has only had one law that he has proposed, or backed that has passed, and he has proposed over 600. This isn’t a very good record as far as laws go. I don’t know how many earmarks he has had.
But he is a real twit. I listened to him at first, and thought he had some good ideas, then the more I heard the more I realized he is as crazy as a loon. He is rowing without both oars, his elevator doesn’t go all the way to the top, he is six ries short of a Happy Meal, and his son MUST be the same, as much as I hate to admit it.

    Rick Santorum, Obama’s Latest Target

For some very explicable reason, true conservatives give liberals the heebie-jeebies.

Of course, the Obama attack machine consisting of the DNC and all his re-election affiliates and the president’s mainstream media is geared to rip any and all Republicans daring to oppose or speak ill of The Anointed One but their venom really gushes out when the threat is a conservative.

The attack machine mobilized its prodigious forces when Michelle Bachmann, Herman Cain, and Rick Perry scrambled to the top of the crowded Republican field and shot down each in turn, digging, digging, digging until they could find some dirt on the candidates and, when they couldn’t dirt, simply manufactured the venom.

They scored big time with Cain who seemed to have almost as many lady friends as their living icon, Bubba Clinton, and had to settle for undefined character assassination and baseless abuse of Bachmann’s and Perry’s I.Q.s.

In the week leading up to the Iowa caucuses, former Senator Richard John Santorum gained some traction and moved to the top of the Democrat hit list.

As Iowans trudge off to their caucuses, it’s worthwhile to re-consider the burning question, What is it about conservatives that gives liberals those heebie-jeebies. . .

“Always with the negative waves Moriarty, always with the negative waves. …” Can someone please tell me what the heck is wrong with Ron Paul’s approach to governance as opposed to the crap shoot we now have today??? I can only assume that Romney is a favorite here only because the media tells us he’s the only one who can beat Obambi. The heck with the polls and media. It’s the votes that count. I say watch the primaries. You may be surprised. On the other hand, the ‘powers that be’ want Romney and will make every effort to shove him up our arses no matter how much we vote otherwise. I truly believe the Demorats have a plan to beat Romney and they need his nomination more than the Republicans. Their friends in the media are making sure everyone except Romney is destroyed in the press to ensure they get their way.

Ron Paul has garnered more financial support from the troops than all the other candidates combined.

That’s all the legitimacy for his foreign policy I need. If the people in the front lines support his stance on war, I do too. We must respect the soldiers by listening to them, and not just blindly supporting whatever military intervention our current leaders find fitting and profitable.

  26. Louisiana Steve says:

    Well said jonaugustine!

  27. Hickster says:
    January 3, 2012 at 2:52 pm

@jonaugustine: I have seen some related websites of various troops supoorting Ron Paul. With no disrespect intended of the troops, my question is this: Are these the younger, more recent “stan” troops, or the older veterans?

The reason for asking is that I have a tendency to think that the younger troops are being mollified (not sure that’s correct wording) toward Ron Paul. Along with the troops “being used” for being indoctrinated on all the “propers” of Ickslam in the US Army manuals.

  28. Ben says:
    January 3, 2012 at 2:58 pm

    Hey Jon Augustine,

Why is that RP’s support among the military is meaningful, while his support among the KKK, Stormfront, White Nationalists, Code Pink, John Birchers, anti-Semites, 9/11 “truthers”, and various conspiracy theorists is meaningless?

If his message speaks to the troops, doesn’t it also follow that his message speaks to the aforementioned nut jobs?

  29. reality says:
    January 3, 2012 at 3:59 pm

    Again =great photo.

Ron paul himself stated he did not think he had the stamina for a long primary battle.

In this pic he looks physically weak.

How is he going to manage what ill be THE most brutal Presidency ever?

They know about Santorum in PA which is why he lost his job. One of the biggest crooks in Congress. Santorum couldn’t draw 100 people at his rallies in Iowa. Doesn’t spend 100K (except on bribes to “religious” leader van de plat) and he beats Perry who had 13%?? Forget Ron Paul, this was fishy as heck. Ron Paul has been relentlessly smeared and ridiculed in the media while the “conservative” responsible for getting the Obamacare the swing vote gets millions in free positive publicity by the Obammunists MSM. Now WHY would Obammunists commie propaganda ministry want Santorum instead of Ron Paul?? Get a clue. Ron Paul coming in 3rd was a huge win in the face of the cheating that’s been going on and the MSM hate fest. He gets the same # of delegates from Iowa as the Annointed Ones.
