You would think a message to take a little care with what we consume would be welcomed. But no, folks like Rush Limbaugh and Sensenbrenner prefer to inspect every item the Obamas put on their plates. Those two might better spend that time looking in the mirror, but self-awareness has never been part of their package. Of course, if the first lady were a size 0, they would be saying she encourages anorexia.

If Michele Obama had minded her own business and kept her nose out of the diet choices I make, I wouldn’t make any comments about her weight defects. A lot of persons have trouble keeping their weight down. Most of us over 40 know that we tend to gain weight far more easily than we did when we were younger.
But the fact remains that she has arrogantly told us that we don’t know how to feed our children to keep them healthy, and that we need to put aside our own good judgment and follow her recommendations in order to raise healthy kids. She informs us that we don’t know how to eat to stay healthy on our own, and that we are too fat for our own good, and we need her to tell us how to change.
This is nonsense. True, some kids get fat, and some irresponsible parents don’t pay attention to what their children eat, but the majority of parents are responsible people with the best interests of their children in mind. And most of us don’t want to be overweight. I am constantly watching what I put in my mouth, trying to keep my weight down. As a matter of fact, I am about 10 pounds above my ideal weight, and struggling to lose the extra poundage. My husband went on a diet two weeks ago because he knows his weight is well above what it should be.
So I feel perfectly justified in pointing out that the woman who tells me how to eat, and what my daughter should feed her kids in order to promote good health, eats like a pig and has a butt the size of a barn door.

Perhaps I have hit onto an odd pothole of sorts in the thinking department lately, but I’m not real sure I would know you (or really anyone on here or the internet in general) better than that. The internet is a wonderous venue, but it does allow for a fair margin of misunderstandings.
With regards to jhp, I mean, how do you know he/she does not work? Maybe I overlooked something that he/she said so I didn’t pick up on it. In which case, I do then understand your reply back about the work, etc.
As for my own tiny world, I do struggle with the fact of years being out in the work force but it’s a time in life, now, where staying home is the thing to do.

Sorry I have to put my two cents in on this one. I don’t know your story or if you even receive help from the Government, it just made me think of a few things.
It’s one thing to NEED help when it comes to food stamps, med bills, housing and etc. I have seen way to many people that DON’T NEED it and have it. I have two kidos and I’m a stay home Mom, Im a caregiver that also works out of my home so I don’t take from people that truly NEED help. I have working limbs and a brain in my head. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to find a way to work from your home. There are many, many ways to do so and be able to be a stay home caregiver and make money on your own to provide for your family. I am proud of that, I could get help in a blink of an eye if I sat around and did nothing for myself or my kids. Then I know for a fact (the way I love to eat) I would be a fat ass!..lol
What I’m saying is I understand people go through hard times and truly do need help to get out of the hole they are in. Once you get that help and start to get back on your feet you need to at least try and help yourself. So many people get the help get use to it and it just becomes a life style. That’s not fair to the people that do help themselves get back on there feet then start paying taxes just to give it to people that have made it a life style.
I have seen with my own eyes how people cheat the system. Get $800 worth of food a month while hiding the fact that the live in boyfriend has a great job and he makes over $20 an hour. Playing farmville on a brand new computer and sitting on the couch all day watching the huge big screen t.v. bought with the taxes they got back from having kids. While not paying a dime into taxes because of not working and divorce.
I could go on and on about people I have seen make it a life style. The saddest part of it all is their kids think handouts are normal and don’t understand the meaning of hard work and how it makes you feel proud to be and do something with your life. I have seen so many kids with parents that have made it their way of living grow up and do the same damn thing! What has happen to people?! What has happen to the American dream?! No one wants to work or make anything of themselves anymore. I am so proud of making something out of myself and working hard to get to where I am. Trust me I was not born with a silver spoon in my mouth, everything I have, I have worked hard for. Wake up America!! Make something of yourselves. There is so much more to life then video games, T.V. and waiting for your “card” to be loaded so you can go get food.
Like I said I know there are people that really need it. I’m not heartless I understand I do. Just saying at least try, try and get ahead when you do get the help and make something out of yourself. It will make you a better and stronger person when all is said and done.
