Goracle: MSNBC Not “Progressive” Enough…

Former Vice President Al Gore on Friday described Current TV as the “consistent” liberal TV network compared with MSNBC, and said it will keep Keith Olbermann in the fold.
“He’s fine,” said Gore, chairman of the network in 63 million U.S. homes, dismissing rumors that Olbermann was seeking to leave. “He has been the key to our ability to pivot and develop our whole network as a progressive news and commentary network.” [...]
“They’ve got a few progressive shows on MSNBC in prime time,” Gore said, “but they’ll start the day with a conservative show in the mornings, and then they’ll get the prison channel on the weekends. They’ll be all over the lot in the middle of the day. We’re consistent.”

Current TV may be available in 63 million households but that’s not how many viewers they have. According to the NYT, average viewership is a pathetic 36,000 lonely souls. Or is that a lonely 36,000 pathetic souls? Either way you won’t be surprised that the NYT tries to spin that into a positive.
At any given instant, there are probably more Americans wiping their asses than watching Gore’s Crap-a-Thon.

Lets just assume that 60 million homes get the Current TV signal. Well if that is possibly true (not likely).
The viewership on average of Current TV is around 24,000 Households in America, and the average viewer ranges from 35 to 49. so what we have here apparently is a broadcast that can only draw an audience that represents 1 in 2,500 reachable households, those statistics are quite pitiful to say the least.
Also noted that during the Iowa caucus voting,The average Current TV audience was 35 years old, the CNN audience average age was 54 years old, and the FOX Audience average age was 63 years old.
I personally get the impression that this another example of the dumbing down of America– but I hope I’m wrong and the young get wiser with age.

rule of thumb, whatever a politician claims to be when they’re running for office, in reality they’re always 50% more liberal than what you see. Algore used to be somewhat respected when he was a senator and VP. now he has found his true self which is full-on retard progressive.
