Growing Number of Black Pastors Express Support For Far-Left Occupy Movement…
And yet the Occupy protests themselves have been 99% white.

As the nation observed Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the Rev. Jamal Harrison Bryant was outside the Federal Reserve’s headquarters in the District, protesting.
And at the public radio station WPFW (89.3 FM), the Rev. Graylan S. Hagler used his airtime Monday to note the similarities between the Occupy Wall Street movement and those who camped in “Resurrection City,” in the shadows of the Washington Monument, after King was slain.
A growing number of African American pastors in the Washington area, including the Rev. Carroll A. Baltimore Sr., president of the Progressive National Baptist Convention, have embraced the Occupy movement. In December, leaders of Occupy D.C. left their encampments at McPherson Square and Freedom Plaza to worship at Empowerment Temple, Bryant’s church in Baltimore. Hagler has held services on Freedom Plaza. Others bring food and clothing to the protesters. And Bryant, who ministers to many in the Maryland suburbs, co-founded Occupy the Dream with former NAACP leader Benjamin Chavis.
The pastors’ pleas for economic justice sound a lot like King’s.
“This is the continuation of the [civil rights] movement. It was the economic movement that King was killed for,” said Hagler, of Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ in Northeast Washington.

These people that claim to be Pastors, certainly aren’t the Lord’s work. Christians are supposed to obey the laws of the land, unless it is in direct opposition to God’s laws.

Liberation theology is like a cancer in the Black churches, and once again, those on our side of the aisle are not willing to step up to the plate and go in to fight it for the Fascism it is.
I believe the Black communities in this country should be viewed just like missionary missions where we have to go into a foreign country, and offer up real salvation, and a turning from the ways which lead to hell.

Your generation has been raised by helicopter parents who catered to your every whine, and praised you constantly in order to get you to be quiet instead of teaching you discipline. You have grown up thinking you are more accomplished than you really are. You expect to have it all at age 25 – what my generation has worked for 10-20 years longer to achieve. The only solution the Democrats in government offer for you is big government with more unaffordable spending that will favor certain groups of people over others. This cannot work since we have already run out of money; we are borrowing 40% of every dollar we spend. There is no more money to spend. Spending new money will be charged to future generations. You will be doing to your children and grandchildren exactly what you complain the older generations did to us.
And you would go even further. The Occupy symbol of a clenched fist is the same symbol the Socialist Party uses. This is no coincidence. Your leaders come from the radical left and denounce our American system of capitalism, calling for the redistribution of wealth instead. They want to end our freedoms guaranteed to us in the U.S. Constitution and replace them with government control.
You claim to represent the 99% but the polls show that significantly less than 99% support you. Only 28% of Americans support the Occupy movement. That number is equivalent to the percentage of the population that supports Democrats and the left. You resent the 1% and their wealth, but their wealth is what creates jobs, not government. If everyone ends up on the government dole, there will be no one left to pay their government salaries.

Animals in the News, Part Two: Human Animals
Part One of this 2-part series recounted three stories of what most people consider animals: rats infesting the D.C. Occupy encampment, pit bulls chewing off a man’s foot in Chicago, and a pet cat almost killing a Buenos Aires woman when it was tossed out of a fourth-floor window.
As unsettling as those stories are, there is another animal far more capable of arousing disgust, inflicting pain, and causing havoc than rats, dogs, or cats. Of the phylum Chordata, class mammalia, order primate, family Hominidae, sub-family Homininae, tribe Hominini, genus Homo, it’s most commonly known as Homo Sapiens.
As Part One concluded, human beings can act more animalistically than technically-lower species.
Of course, since those lower species never wage mass warfare–except maybe in “Rise of the Planet of the Apes”–some would argue that conducting war is irrefutable evidence of the human animal’s capacity to far exceed any other species’ devastation and carnage, an argument that has some merit.
Also worth consideration as evidencing the brutality of Homo Sapiens are the 50 to 60 million “legal” abortions in the United States since the Supreme Court decided on January 22nd, 1973 that human life was no longer sacred. Roe v. Wade has accounted for a far greater loss of life than all our wars combined and vivid testimony to man’s inhumanity to man.
However, let’s focus on a few less-profound yet equally-nauseating instances of man’s, and woman’s, animalistic inhumanity toward its own kind.
“Animalistic” may be a misnomer, though, because animals are programmed to protect their young. True, some eat their offspring when they’re starving and most abandon them when they are beyond survivability but none ever get drunk and leave them shivering in the cold while their mother goes to Mickey D’s.
Thirty-nine year old Farris Martin, allegedly, did just that in Sacramento, California to her nine and four year old children. Her kids were found huddling for warmth in the bushes as Ms. Martin was scarfing down McDonalds’ delectibles.
Martin was arrested on a felony charge of endangering the life or health of a child, is being held on $60,000 bail, and the kids are now hopefully warm and well-fed.
One example, or a thousand examples, of human neglect of common decency does not condemn our species to Hell but it sure helps. So, too, do glaring instances of convicted criminals using America’s benevolent court system to make a farce of justice not make us animals but they come close.
