MSNBC’s IQ-Deprived Ed Schultz, Jesse Jackson To Help Dems Work On Their Messaging At House Democratic Retreat…

What could possibly go wrong?

(Roll Call) — House Democrats will decamp Wednesday from Washington to the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa & Marina in Cambridge, Md., to hone their jobs and economy message going into the 2012 election.

According to the retreat agenda, Democrats will focus on the theme “Reignite the American Dream” during the three-day retreat that is “intended to highlight those goals and help prepare members of the caucus to continue to fight to restore jobs to the millions left behind by the Great Recession.”

The Rev. Jesse Jackson will also host a discussion on the “History of the Democratic Party: the Struggle for Rights,” and Members will participate in numerous election-oriented discussions on messaging, polling and the use of new media. SKDKnickerbocker Managing Director Anita Dunn and Media Talent 2.0, Inc. President Joel Silberman will also host media training sessions for Members throughout the day Thursday.

Wednesday evening’s festivities are highlighted by an “American Voices Panel” that includes pundit Paul Begala, Judge Greg Mathis of the “Judge Mathis Show” and the leaders of several Democratic-leaning interest groups, while MSNBC host Ed Schultz will participate in a panel on Minority Whip Steny Hoyer’s (Md.) “Make it in America” plan.

The Rev. Jesse Jackson will also host a discussion on the “History of the Democratic Party: the Struggle for Rights,”? The Democratic party is the party of the KKK, and of the segregationist. I know he is going to lie, because the progressives have already re-written history so people don’t realize that the Republican party is truly the party of freedom and liberty.

Why does the MSM always refer to the “Rev. Jesse Jackson” yet never refers to the “Rev. Martin Luther King” as “Reverend”.

This says how desparate they are if the think that “Special” ED and Rev “Race baiter” are going to improve their messaging. They will continue to speak to the metally challeged, the dead and the thugs but those two do not even understand that is a very small percentage of the American people. The rest will want to hear facts, truth and plans which this administration has been unable to provide for 3 years. They have talked the talk but have never been able to walk the walk and those two are not going to give them any credibility (they have none).

I wonder if Jesse Jackson will actually cover the real history of Civil Rights in America. How the Democratic Party fought tooth and nail against every Civil Rights Bill presented before both houses of Congress from 1866 to 1964.

Like when debate began in the US Senate on the Civil Rights Act of 1960 Senate Majority Leader Lyndon B. Johnson (D-TX) lead the longest filibuster in history, lasting 43 hours. With the filibuster eventually failing with 94% of Republicans and 73% of Democrats voting for passage.

Or how Richard Russell (D-GA) launched a filibuster to prevent the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Russell said: “We will resist to the bitter end any measure or any movement which would have a tendency to bring about social equality and intermingling and amalgamation of the races in our (Southern) states.” Senator Strom Thurmond (D-SC) said of the bill itself: “This so-called Civil Rights Proposals, which the President has sent to Capitol Hill for enactment into law, are unconstitutional, unnecessary, unwise and extend beyond the realm of reason. This is the worst civil-rights package ever presented to the Congress and is reminiscent of the Reconstruction proposals and actions of the radical Republican Congress.” Richard Russell (D-GA) launched a filibuster to prevent its passage. Russell said: “We will resist to the bitter end any measure or any movement which would have a tendency to bring about social equality and intermingling and amalgamation of the races in our (Southern) states.” Senator Robert Byrd (D-W.Va.) completed a filibustering address that lasted 14 hours and 13 minutes, the longest filibuster address by any US Senator. The Act eventually passed with 82% of Republicans and 66% of Democrats voting for passage.

Or this little nugget… John F. Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson both voted against the Civil Rights Act of 1957.

Something tells me history will be taught differently at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa & Marina.

Or if they knew Schultz used non-union labor and provided no health or pension benefits for employees at his family owned construction company?

Will Schultz talk about the fact that he pockets the Bush tax cuts he claims are immoral?

I wonder if Al Sharpton will make a cameo appearance and lecture democrats on the importance of paying your income taxes?
