This has been suggested before and I have some thoughts on the matter.
One of the nice things about this site is the feeling of community. That we are all equal, even though we don’t always agree. I would hate to see it turn into a popularity contest. Human nature being what it is, we would suddenly find ourselves vying for the most likes rather than simply speaking our minds.
I think it would change the nature of this site dramatically, and not for the better. I learn from all of you.
