Obama Responds To Newt’s “Food Stamp President” Comments: Bush’s Fault…

Nothing is ever his fault. Nothing.

Via ABC News:

Obama pushed back against what he called Republicans’ “rhetorical flourishes,” including Newt Gingrich’s oft-repeated contention that Obama is the “food stamp president.”

“First of all, I don’t put people on food stamps,” Obama said. “People become eligible for food stamps. Second of all, the initial expansion of food-stamp eligibility happened under my Republican predecessor, not under me. No. 3, when you have a disastrous economic crash that results in 8 million people losing their jobs, more people are going to need more support from government.”

So . . . when is anything his fault?

Does this guy even know that when Pres. Bush took office he had to deal with a recession, and in 7.5 months he had to deal with the worse attack on US soil and attempt to destroy of our financial system. And we were doing well until the Dems took control of Congress in 2006.

And there you have it – more people needing support from the government, which was the stuttering dunce’s aim all along. He neatly sidesteps whose policies were responsible for said economic crash- funny, that.

Millions more people dependent on the government to feed themselves- that’s winning the future, the soetero way!

So President Obama WANTS people on food stamps? So he can control people?
Being on food stamps is soooo fantastic, too!

We are slowly coming out of a deep recession. We play the blame game all day. It solves nothing. What solves problems like this are real solutions.

Smart people, who arent beholden to rich libtards or corporations, like Paul Krugman, advocate increased spending in times of recession, spending by the government, to help the public and private sectors through a time where capital has dried up. This is not an attempt to increase the size of government. No. This is temporary loosening of federal spending in order to help regular folk get through hard times.

The gop economic plans during recession are exactly opposite. gopers want to restrict spending in tough times, thereby willfully inflicting unnecessary pain on the population for purely political reasons. Austerity is not what is need here or in Eurpoe. We need lots of spending now.

And when economies and markets are booming, THATS when to cut back. Unfortunately, we do the opposite of what is right.

Why do people here hate their fellow Americans so much? Why inflict so much pain on others? Is it some biblical need for suffering?

  28. shockedattheracismhere says:
    January 27, 2012 at 8:16 am

The economy is slowly turning up, the Pres approvals are turning up, and frankly, the gop field of presidential candidates looks like a cross between a goat rodeo and a clown car parade. President Obamas chances of reelection are quite high, given the terrible gop candidates and due to the gop base having become red meat, bat sheet crazy hate filled lunatics. You see, folks here, with their incessent insulting, racists tinged rhetoric, combined with you parties complete abdication of their jobs as elected officials, helps President Obama’s reelection chances greatly.

    @shockedattheracismhere-

First, yawn. I’m shocked at the stupid name you chose for trolling. You need to up your game, you and the other stooges have worn the race card right out. So get a new name, your current moniker is boooooring.

    Next:

“We are slowly coming out of a deep recession.”

Bzzzzt. Not coming out. Also, deep recession caused by the democrats.

“We play the blame game all day. It solves nothing. What solves problems like this are real solutions.”

Bzzzt. Correction- your gangly failure president and your legion of whiners on the left play the blame game. Tell Earflaps and the rest of the idiots to come up with some solutions- here’s a start: how about passing a budget for the first time in the obama administration?

“Smart people, who arent beholden to rich libtards or corporations, like Paul Krugman…”

And here you invalidate anything you can possibly say. Krugman is a fool, clinging to long discredited bonehead keynesian theory. Do tell, where has keynesian theory been a success in any country, at any time in history? He’s also a big fan of chinese authoritarianism, further invalidating anything coming out of his moronic piehole.

“…advocate increased spending in times of recession, spending by the government, to help the public and private sectors through a time where capital has dried up.”

Again- keynesian policy is a time and time again failure. Second- capital has not dried up, due to QE1, 2, and soon to be 3. The problem is a complete lack of will to invest by ANYONE due to the boneheaded and oppressive, arbitrary, and byzantine regulations being passed or “executive ordered” into existence by the truckload in this soon to be facist regime.

“The gop economic plans during recession are exactly opposite. gopers want to restrict spending in tough times, thereby willfully inflicting unnecessary pain on the population for purely political reasons. ”

Bzzzzt. Nice try at framing the argument, pinhead. Gop plans are to actually have a federal budget (again, the soetero crew has failed to provide one his entire time in office) and then prune back moronic regulations like classifying milk as oil- as obama’s epa did- so as to encourage PRIVATE investment. As for inflicting unnecessary pain on the population- who’s the babbling idiot that said “under my plan, energy prices would necessarily skyrocket” again?

“Austerity is not what is need here or in Eurpoe. We need lots of spending now.”

The bankrupt government of Greece was unavailable for comment here, nor were the soon to be bankrupt governments of Spain, Italy, and Portugal. You’re beating a dead and discredited horse here, sparky- keynesianism is a certified, time and again FAIL. We tried it under stutters the clown, and all it resulted in was payoffs to union cronies and a confession by the wizard of uhs that “there is no such thing as shovel ready projects”.

Austerity by the government is EXACTLY what is needed- that and a sharp reduction in all the regulations as well as an executive branch that actually follows the law. At which point a gasping private sector can actually get up off the floor and cause an economic recovery.

“Why do people here hate their fellow Americans so much?”

Ask the democrats, who have caused all the divisive hate.

“Why inflict so much pain on others?”

Again, ask the democrats that have caused so much pain.

“Is it some biblical need for suffering?”

Ha. You are a bunch of Godless heathens- what do you and your ilk know of the bible?

    Go ‘way, troll.

And tell axelrod he needs to hire better.

When you take up the mantle of leadership, whether as a private employee or as an elected or appointed political figure, all the responsibility falls on you because you now occupy the position.

You become responsible for things you didn’t cause. Obama didn’t inherit the office, he actively campaigned for it, and rejoiced in winning the office ['I won']

Constantly blaming your predecessor is a sign of poor leadership and extreme immaturity; but then this is Obama we’re talking about.

And of course those who have been raised in the generation after generation pity parties have no pride to do anything else. Like ImNoDhimi indicates there is a difference between qualifying and applying. Poor Shocked has swallowed the poor pitiful victim position hook, line, and sinker.

Bottom line: we are all going to die and Obama nor the GOPers can do anything about it. When we are done there is only One to whom we will give an account. We can tell ourselves He doesn’t exist but it does not make what we tell ourselves the truth.

We will all be held accountable when we are done, even Obama, and there is only One that can grant us mercy: the One that we murdered by our sin, Jesus.
