Obama Attends Campaign Fundraiser With “First Americans”…

“First Americans” being the absurdly PC name for American Indians.

(Politico) — President Obama’s campaign fundraiser at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel this afternoon was with the Native American Leadership Council, and in remarks to the group, he characterized the fight for fairness that he outlined in the State of the Union address as a “turning point” for tribal relations.

“And I want you guys to be full partners in that fight because I believe that one day we?re going to be able to look back on these years and say this was a turning point in nation-to-nation relations; that this was turning point when the nations all across the country recognized that they were full partners, treated with dignity and respect and consultation; that this wasn?t just a side note on a White House agenda, but this was part and parcel of our broader agenda to make sure that everybody has opportunity,” Obama said, according to a White House transcript.

The president spoke about building a strong middle class within the Native American population, the “first Americans,” and ensuring it is “not simply a ward but is able to marshal the resources to create its own agenda and its own destiny and its own economic development and its own businesses.

“We want new businesses and new opportunities to take root on the reservation,” he said. “We want to stop repeating the mistakes of the past and begin building a better future — one that honors old traditions and also welcomes every single Native American into the American Dream.”

Agreed. Let’s start by not repeating a HUGE mistake, and voting this laughably stupid empty suit out of office in November.

What a stuttering clusterf*ck of a miserable failure this assclown is.

    “First Americans”…

Thousands of years before the name was given, they are retro “first Americans”???

The word “American” came from the Americos tribe of the caribbean, nothing to do with these supposedly first “natives”.

Their own history tells us that there was other people already living here as the Lenni Lenape & Mengwe tribes move from west to east across the continent…namely the Allegewi people, somewhere near the Mississippi river. Who was here first? Nobody really knows, but the revised edited history we are fed in our school books sure doesn’t help.

North America’s original human inhabitants were paleo-Clovis people from Europe. All subsequent cultures are merely immigrants with whom American citizenship is now shared through birth-right or naturalization.

The idea that some Americans are more “indigenous” or “native” or “first” than others is pernicious, racial-supremacist nonsense.

“At the conclusion of his speech, the Tribes presented the Senator with a plaque inscribed with his new Indian name – Walking Eagle.

The proud Senator then departed in his motorcade, waving to the crowds. A news reporter later asked the group of chiefs of how they came to select the new name they had given to the Senator. They explained that Walking Eagle is the name given to a bird so full of shit it can no longer fly.”

There is one form of racism that Leftists do to this day openly and unashamedly allow themselves. As mentioned previously, a great Leftist cause for the last 30 or more years has been “affirmative action”

which normally translates into deliberate discrimination against whites both in hiring practices and in admissions to universities and colleges — a policy which is as blatantly racist as any policy could be.

Affirmative action advocates assume, of course, that all ethnic groups can produce equal outcomes given equal opportunities, but they cannot remotely prove it.

Economist Thomas Sowell wades through the empirical evidence:

“The reality…is very different. In fact, for a host of reasons, some of which we know and some of which we do not know, some of which spring from malign oppression and many of which do not, ethnic and racial groups behave differently, perform differently, learn differently, and exhibit greatly different talents and temperaments. That is not crude stereotyping; it is plain fact. Justice will not be done if this fact is denied or goes unrecognized.”

Despite the historic rise in food stamp use, however, the Obama Administration believes not enough people are receiving food stamps who should be and is offering $75,000 grants to groups who devise “effective strategies” to “increase program participation” among those who have yet to sign up…

But if one reads “Maps of the ancient sea kings” by Hapgood…our understanding of world history gets turned on its head, because ancient people knew the world was round and visited every continent [including Antarctica] thousands of years before what we’ve been taught. And there is plenty of indisputable evidence for this claim…like this.

“That “wagon burner” is probably a WW2 veteran, with many medals.”

That is correct bettyann. Joe Medicine Horse is the last war chief of the Crow tribe. He was a scout in the 103rd Infantry Division. There were four requirements to become a war chief:
    1) Touch a living enemy
    2) Disarm an enemy. He did both in hand to hand combat with a German solider in a French village.
    3) Lead a successful war party. He lead a seven man detail through an artillery barrage to blast open positions in the Siegfried Line.
    4) Steal an enemies horse. In the final weeks of the war, he stole dozens of horses being used by German officers.

He won the Bronze Star and the French Legion of Honor.
Joe’s grandfather White Man Runs Him scouted for Custer at Little Big Horn. His grandfather told him Custer was a foolish man. Joe was the first member of the Crow tribe to graduate from college. He is a doctorate and is officially the Crow tribal historian.

So lay off the man. Politicians always use and ride the coattails of people like Joe Medicine Horse. By the way on a per capita basis, more Indians serve and have served in the US military than every other ethnic group in the country, including whites. Yeah, Indians have problems, but we whites mostly created them and the federal government keeps on perpetuating them, regardless of who gets elected. Show some respect and understanding folks.

On a personal side-note: I just get so sick of the Indians here made to look like entertainment fodder. I’m sick of it. Just sick of it. Photos, Casinos, etc. Invariably it’s the entertainment ‘value’ about them. Or constantly depicted as drunken fools (which no doubt many are actually that, as any other race can be). Or lazy (which many no doubt are, but the same can be said of many other races, too). Some time back a place where I was employed, I eventually had the $$$ to purchase (in my opinion) quite a nice & practical vehicle for country & town use. Some co-workers knew that some point in time I had let out having a sprinkle of A.I. heritage. So when some of these co-workers noted I now sported a nice new vehicle, they assumed it was from some type of free government ‘native’ handout. Hey. I worked my a** off fair & square for it!

How come we as people make assumptions like that of other people. I know I am guilty of it, too. Where does that come from? Why?

It seems to me that during GWB admin. they had tried to integrate some of the medical clinics that served the “natives” along with the regular medical clinics off/away from the Rez. The Indians wouldn’t go to the regular medical clinics. If the whole Rez-thing were ended then maybe the Indians could begin to somehow circulate amongst the rest of society and get away from the never-ending entertainment-value, or go-to-nowhere that the Rez leaves them with their sky high suicide rates.

Debbie: Wasn’t there an ancient tribe of Celts in a region of France that made Clovis points and were called Americus (sp) by the Romans?

Hadn’t heard that… but that’s about 10,000 years after paleo-Clovis culture disappeared (along with most North American mega-fauna) around the Younger Dryas.

OK, the Indians were the first Americans.
Then came the white, the second.
The brought the slaves, the third.

So what is this third American telling us now?
