CAIR Bullies Retired Army General Critical of Islam Out of West Point Prayer Breakfast…

Chalk another victory up for CAIR.

(WaPo) — Retired Lt. Gen. William  Boykin’s scheduled appearance at West Point’s annual prayer breakfaston Feb. 8  triggered protests from religious groups as well as veterans’ organizations.

A statement issued by West Point’s public affairs office Monday evening said that Boykin “has decided  to withdraw” and that the academy would search for a  replacement.

The outcome underscores  the degree of controversy that continues to follow Boykin nearly eight years after he was reprimanded by the Pentagon for violating rules while delivering  speeches in uniform that often mocked followers of Islam. In one instance,  Boykin, a decorated special forces officer, said he knew that his side would  prevail in a fight against a prominent Islamic militant in Somalia because “I  knew that my god was bigger than his.”

The Council on American-Islamic Relations, which along with a group calling itself VoteVets.org had asked West Point to retract the invitation to Boykin, welcomed the retired Army officer’s decision.

CAIR’s executive director, Nihad Awad, said the group hopes that “the speaker who replaces him will offer cadets a spiritual message that promotes tolerance and mutual understanding.”

Doesn’t religious freedom include not being forced to accept a religion you are against? Isn’t being against any religion, islam or satanism, one’s right for religious freedom? He should sue them for denying him his Constitutional rights. CAIR is forcing islam on people who believe in their own religion and have ever right to not accept any other religion including islam.

He no doubt backed out for West Point’s convenience. When he was on Beck’s TV show last week he was on fire and called out Islam for the scam that it is. His visit was epic.

ZIP, is there any way you could get hold of and post that clip with Boykin on GBTV?

You can bet that CAIR had the backing of the DOJ.

They are in constant touch regarding all things “Islamophobic”.

I’m confused by the PCness of our society. West Point caves to CAIR and some vets website? Why does anyone care what these organizations say? They have no voting block, no real economic impact – all they have is the media’s bullhorn.

I’m actually deaf to all of them

So he said, “I knew that my god was bigger than his.”

Basically, all he did was say what every Muslim believes and states every day. So, by speaking like a Muslim does, he offended Muslims in their circular illogical thinking.

The question left here, is did anyone in the West Point administration ask General Boykin to step aside or was it his own doing after receiving criticism from dhimmis and CAIR.

It is particularly galling to see the oppression of free speech occurring at of all places West Point.

Let’s hope that there are still teachers there that subscribe to what great Generals like Douglas MacArthur did and studied ; IE the teachings of SunTzu and his “Art of War” Book.

“Know your enemy and know him well if you want to defeat him”

What hypocrisy! They want a spiritual message but won’t tolerate anything but Islam — they’re just not saying it outright. If CAIR’s Awad et al don’t like living in the midst of a moral, Christian majority here in America, they can go pound sand in the desert.

Recall in 2006, West Point’s Combating Terrorism Center reading list appeared to be more representative of the types of recommended reading issued by Lt. General John R. Vines, the U.S. ground commander in Iraq.
Among other books that minimize or explain away any connection between Islam and violence the site’s library included Chomsky, Schwartz and Esposito among others.

Not a single volume from Ibn Warraq, Bat Ye’Or , Robert Spencer, Emerson, Trifkovic or Pipes.

To quote Hugh Fitzgerald of JihadWatch.org:

“The greatest Intelligence Failure of the Iraq War was not about WMD. It was about Islam, its tenets, its nature, the attitudes and atmospherics it engenders. It was an intelligence failure that continues as long as we prate about how everyone wants freedom (nonsense), that “democracy” will lessen the threat in the Middle East (double-nonsense), that the best way to limit a threat based entirely on the classic ideology of Islam is to say nothing, to learn nothing, to hint at nothing, about Islam itself.”

Six years ago, it became evident top brass at West Point chose the Chamberlain appeasement model. It appears to have been a great success for Islam.

  17. Mackie says:
    January 31, 2012 at 12:12 pm

THERE IS NO TOLERANCE FOR ANY OTHER RELIGION IN ISLAM!!!

If only the dhimmis in the West would take just a little time to understand the teachings of fundamental Islam.

Sadly it appears more and more that they ,their children and grandchildren will have to learn the hard way.

Tolerance and understanding? Seriously, is that what the Muslim Facists want?
I was a little confused. I thought they wanted to dominate the world – kind of like Hitler did.
When the Muslim crazies quit trying to kill the rest of the world because we won’t kiss Mohammad’s ass, then maybe they will get the tolerance and understanding they so crave.
Since that won’t happen until hell freezes over, you will never get that satisfaction.

The point is the carousel of confusion that the ‘courts’ and the ‘law’ are becoming.

These jackasses are so bogged down its despicable. As it always has been all down through history, judges and officials love their robes and their thrones and their power, and the are extremely susceptible to corruption .. vanity, greed, etc.

Lawyers, courts, government … we need to overhaul and simplify a lot of things and bring a lot of people into acquaintance with reality.

    Including lawyers and judges.
