One would think that the Occupy movement and San Francisco were made for each other. Perhaps at one time they were, but a new Survey USA poll shows that even the City by the Bay has its limits. The poll of 500 adults in the San Francisco area — surely the most progressive-friendly poll sample ever taken — shows that almost half of those who supported the Occupy movement in general now have changed their minds. According to this poll, Occupy support in the Bay area would have been 58/34 at one point. Now it’s 35/57, which is a flip of 46 points in the gap. Combining support and opposition numbers, Democrat support for Occupy is now 40/56, and even among self-professed liberals, where 27% have switched to opposition, it’s only 52/35. Among San Francisco adults. Note too that the movement has not gained converts in anything like the numbers they are alienating, which means that the longer they go, the weaker they are getting politically.

Friends and relatives said Susan Poff and Robert Kamin of Oakland were the perfect pair to adopt a foster child.
They had dedicated their careers to helping others escape poverty, she as a physician assistant in a city-run clinic in the Tenderloin and he as a clinical psychologist for inmates in the San Francisco County Jail system.
But now, less than a decade after they adopted, their 15-year-old son stands accused of strangling both Poff, 50, and Kamin, 55, then hiding their bodies in the back of the family’s PT Cruiser…
Co-workers said Poff and Kamin were having some arguments with their son, some of it having to do with him spending too much time in the Occupy Oakland encampment, but nothing that sounded beyond the scope of typical teenage rebelliousness.

Familiarity breeds contempt doesn’t it?
The ultra-priviledged champaign socialists and limosine liberals always idealize the down trodden and disenfranchised, until the day comes where they have to live in too close proximity to them.
All of a sudden these snobby pouseurs have the startling realization that the wealth the down trodden want to re-distribute is their wealth.
When that finally happens the romanticizing ends, and they call the authorities to come and take out the trash. This is precisely what is now happening in the most wealthy and priviledged area in the USA aka San Francisco.
Watching the Occupy movement from the very beginning was like watching a train wreck in slow motion, or an old news reel from 1968. Still even more amazing was to see politicians and wealthy leftwing liberals embracing this destructive force of mostly misfits from a weird counter culture in America.
The images and actions of these Occupy characters remain repulsive in my mind and whatever message they had was lost on me a long time ago. Are there concerns and issues out there? absolutely but the Occupy presentation was a complete and utterly negative one.
Made up of anarchists,communists,Marxists,socialists,and antisemites,along with many who saw it as something be involved in for no particular reason seemingly for the most part. Causing countless millions in damage and the need for police,leading too 6,000 plus arrests and still the likes of a strange little woman who appears to live in a tiny bubble that travels between Washington DC and San Francisco supports them.
Notice how one of the signs mentions the usial Socialists Workers Party Pigs from the dregs of society and the worst of the vermin from the sewers
You have to understand that the ultra-wealthy, priviledged 1 percenters who can afford to live in one of the most exspensive areas in the USA only endorse socialism as an intellectual abstraction.
When they finally come they realize that the wealth the drown trodden want to redistribute is their wealth and not someone elses they quickly call the authorities to come and take out trash.
They may pretend to feel the common mans pain but they secretly think of him as the riff raff. Trust me on this.
It’s really interesting to watch the local news slow back peddle on the whole thing. While they always start with “peaceful” the enthusiasm has definitely waned, and they talk about it less and less.
Yesterday they were on about how these buffoons set up a float in lake merritt, and joggers were yelling at them they were sick of them and to go away. The quick retort from the boat clowns was, “oh yeah? you go home!”.
