Roving gangs of black flash mobs, who routinely target Whites and Asians, have taken over Chicago; particularly, Michigan Avenue, the Gold Coast, Streeterville, and the Near North Side.
The people who live, work, go to school, and shop in those areas are on pins and needles.
The quality of life in some of Chicago’s finer neighborhoods has been reduced to a level of fear, once reserved for the city’s ghettos.
New kids on the block: Rahm Emanuel and Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy, say they are going to put the big, bad thugs out of business.
Don’t hold your breath.
Days after their bold, yet seemingly hollow declaration of war against flash mobs, more attacks occurred on the Near North Side.
In fact, the criminals seem to be thumbing their noses at their authority.
As appalling as the downtown flash mobs are, Chicago’s black crime problem (Oops! Did I say that out loud?) isn’t isolated to Michigan Avenue and the Near North Side.
What about the innumerable robberies, shootings, assaults, and thefts committed by black suspects all over Chicago?
Like I said, the downtown gang attacks are revolting. However, the importance of a crime isn’t measured by its location and the number of offenders involved. In my book, all crime is important, and we cannot stop the violence in one area, without addressing the violence in all areas.
22-year-old Aeyanuna Rogers, a Northern Illinois University graduate, was shot in the head Monday, May 30, 2011, after a fight erupted between several black male suspects in Hyde Park.
Wednesday, June 8, 2011, a woman carrying a baby was pushed down the stairs at the Sheridan “L” stop at 3940 North Sheridan Road. The suspects, two African-American men, riffled through the woman’s diaper bag looking for money, after they callously tossed her and a 2-year-old down a flight of stairs.
Earlier this month, several citizens were pepper sprayed and robbed in Lakeview by black offenders.
And what about the steady stream of black on black violence in neighborhoods like Englewood, Roseland, South Shore, and the Austin neighborhood on Chicago’s West Side?
Let’s face the facts. Chicago has a black crime problem and the media can’t make it go away by refusing to print the suspects’ race.
Whitewashing Chicago’s black crime wave is not the solution. It’s part of the problem. When a group of people routinely break the law, the public has a right to know who the guilty parties are.
When the press obscures a criminal’s identity, by withholding his or her race, they do a major disservice to their readers. How are people supposed to identify and protect themselves from a perpetrator with no race or ethnicity?
Instead of a world-class city, Chicago is starting to feel like a lawless, third world country; where criminals rape and plunder at their leisure, while well-paid figureheads, who are protected by guns, shamelessly deny law-abiding citizens the right to protect themselves.
Rahm Emanuel. Garry McCarthy. If you are not going to give us the right to carry concealed weapons, then take the handcuffs off the Chicago Police Department and put them on the criminals, where they belong!

Chicago’s Real Crime Story
Why decades of community organizing haven’t stemmed the city’s youth violence

The beating death of Derrion Albert captured national attention last September.Barack Obama has exploited his youthful stint as a Chicago community organizer at every stage of his political career. As someone who had worked for grassroots “change,” he said, he was a different kind of politician, one who could translate people’s hopes into reality. The media lapped up this conceit, presenting Obama’s organizing experience as a meaningful qualification for the Oval Office.
This past September, a cell-phone video of Chicago students beating a fellow teen to death coursed over the airwaves and across the Internet. None of the news outlets that had admiringly reported on Obama’s community-organizing efforts mentioned that the beating involved students from the very South Side neighborhoods where the president had once worked. Obama’s connection to the area was suddenly lost in the mists of time.
Yet a critical blindness links Obama’s activities on the South Side during the 1980s and the murder of Derrion Albert in 2009. Throughout his four years working for “change” in Chicago’s Roseland and Altgeld Gardens neighborhoods, Obama ignored the primary cause of their escalating dysfunction: the disappearance of the black two-parent family. Obama wasn’t the only activist to turn away from the problem of absent fathers, of course; decades of failed social policy, both before and after his time in Chicago, were just as blind. And that myopia continues today, guaranteeing that the current response to Chicago’s youth violence will prove as useless as Obama’s activities were 25 years ago.
One year out of college, Barack Obama took a job as a community organizer, hoping for an authentic black experience that would link him to the bygone era of civil rights protest. Few people know what a community organizer is—Obama didn’t when he decided to become one—yet the term seduces the liberal intelligentsia with its aura of class struggle and agitation against an unjust establishment. Saul Alinsky, the self-described radical who pioneered the idea in Chicago’s slaughterhouse district during the Depression, defined community organizing as creating “mass organizations to seize power and give it to the people.” Alinsky viewed poverty as a political condition: it stemmed from a lack of power, which society’s “haves” withhold from the “have-nots.” A community organizer would open the eyes of the disenfranchised to their aggrieved status, teaching them to demand redress from the illegitimate “power structure.”
Alinskyite empowerment suffered its worst scandal in 1960s Chicago. The architects of the federal War on Poverty created a taxpayer-funded version of a community-organizing entity, the so-called Community Action Agency, whose function was to agitate against big-city mayors for more welfare benefits and services for blacks. Washington poverty warriors, eager to demonstrate their radical bona fides, funneled hundreds of thousands of dollars into Chicago’s most notorious gangs, who were supposed to run job-training and tutoring programs under the auspices of a signature Alinskyite agency, the Woodlawn Organization. Instead, the gangbangers maintained their criminal ways—raping and murdering while on the government payroll, and embezzling federal funds to boot.
The disaster failed to dim the romance of community organizing. But by the time Obama arrived in Chicago in 1984, an Alinskyite diagnosis of South Side poverty was doubly irrelevant. Blacks had more political power in Chicago than ever before, yet that power had no impact on the tidal wave of dysfunction that was sweeping through the largest black community in the United States. Chicago had just elected Harold Washington, the city’s first black mayor; the heads of Chicago’s school system and public housing were black, as were most of their employees; black power broker Emil Jones, Jr. represented the South Side in the Illinois State Senate; Jesse Jackson would launch his 1984 presidential campaign from Chicago. The notion that blacks were disenfranchised struck even some of Obama’s potential organizees as ludicrous. “Why we need to be protesting and carrying on at our own people?” a prominent South Side minister asked Obama soon after he arrived in Chicago. “Anybody sitting around this table got a direct line to City Hall.”

There’s something special about the city of Chicago. Whether it’s the palatial skyline, the lights of the Magnificent Mile, or the diversity of art, food and culture, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
But in recent years, Chicago’s beauty has been diminished by the wanton slaughter of its citizens. In fact, local police and media reports show that Chicago has the highest rate of juvenile homicides in America. Since January, according to the Chicago Police Department, one in 10 homicide victims has been 16 years old or younger. Since the last school year began, an estimated 45 Chicago public school students have been murdered, the majority of whom had no gang or criminal affiliation.
According to the Chicago Sun Times, Chicago is also home to four of the 25 most dangerous neighborhoods in the country. In many instances, the elderly are being murdered in their own homes, women are being raped and killed coming home from work, and children are being shot – at an alarming rate – while riding their bikes, playing in the park, standing on the street or coming home from school.
Chicago Police Department said that, since January, more than 280 murders have occurred on the streets of Chicago, the majority of which have been with a firearm.
The Chicago Tribune – which tracks murders in Chicago on a monthly basis – reported that July 9th, when one woman was strangled and another six people shot to death, was the deadliest day of 2009. During the 4th of July weekend – the bloodiest weekend to date – there were at least 63 shootings and one stabbing, resulting in the loss of 11 lives.
The ethnic breakdown of the victims and the perpetrators is also disturbing. In 2009, 88 percent of the murder victims were male and 78 percent of those victims were black. In 2008, when 511 murders were committed in Chicago, 74 percent of the victims were black and 76 percent of the perpetrators were also black.
Chicago’s murder rate is lower than in previous years, but the brutality of the murders as well as the age of the victims has caused the city’s leaders to stand up and take notice.
“As a father and grandfather, nothing pains me more than seeing Chicago’s children, our children, killed,” said Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley last month, during his annual address to the city. “For me, ending the violence is one of the most frustrating challenges we face.”
Father Michael Pfleger, the polemic leader of St. Sabina’s Catholic Church on Chicago’s West Side, said, “We’re fighting a war in Iraq to try to keep the peace over there, when we have innocent children dying on the streets right here at home.”
The case of Chastity Turner illustrates this point. In June, Chastity was visiting her grandmother on the city’s South Side. While washing the family’s dog outside with her father, a van pulled up and at least twenty shots rang out. Chastity was shot in the back while running for cover. She was only nine years old. Two men, aged 17 and 19, have since been charged with her murder and police are searching for a third suspect.
Recently, residents on the South Side have complained that crimes in their neighborhoods don’t get as much media coverage or police presence as the more affluent neighborhoods, such as those on the city’s North Side. Others are quick to say that black people are victims of their own circumstance. But some forget that people don’t choose to live in poverty stricken or crime-laden neighborhoods; children certainly have nothing to say about that. They, like any other Chicago resident, have the right to feel safe in and around their own homes. Unfortunately, they don’t.
Many Chicago parents have kept their children inside this summer for fear they will be killed playing on the street, particularly in Englewood, which is statistically Chicago’s most dangerous neighborhood. Children have nightmares about being killed or beaten coming from school. Sadly, for many of them balloons and stuffed animals have come to symbolize death, not joy and celebration.
Mayor Daley has challenged the Chicago Police Department to continually update their strategies in order to protect the city’s children. He wants the “gang bangers and drug dealers” terrorizing the city’s streets behind bars. As a result, police are now vigilantly enforcing the city’s curfew, writing violations and returning children who are seen outside after 10:30 p.m. to their homes. More than 100,000 guns have been turned in for the city’s annual gun program and the department is also actively seeking hundreds of new police recruits.
But Father Pfleger believes it’s the community that needs to step up to make children safe and to regain control over their neighborhoods. “We have worked with police well,” Pfleger said. “But I’m not one who believes in more guns and more police. I believe in more community outreach. We focus on community responsibility. If we don’t have the community working together, I don’t care how many police you have, you’re not going to be successful.”
This is a message Pfleger lives and breathes. St. Sabina Church has always been a firm advocate of anti-violence. But its message became personal in 1998 when Pfleger’s 17-year old foster son, Jarvis, was murdered. His killer was never found, and Pfleger’s efforts against violence became more aggressive. “We’ve made a dent in the violence,” Pfleger said. “But it won’t be completely effective until the violence has stopped.”
Mayor Daley also believes that a community alliance is the key factor in ending the violence, and he’s sponsoring a new program that will oversee that goal.
“We must keep our children involved in positive activities and away from gangs, guns and drugs,” Daley said in his annual address to the city.
But, Daley, like many other family advocates, ultimately believes the responsibility of keeping children away from guns and off the streets must begin in the home.
“I can’t emphasize how important it is for parents to accept their responsibility to keep their children safe,” he said. “If they can’t, they can call [city hall] and ask for help. I also want to plead with every person in every community to march with us and stand against the violence. If you know about a crime, report it. If you know who is involved in a crime, report them. The code of silence in many neighborhoods that protects the gang bangers and drug dealers is killing our children. It must end.”
Young African-American Males: Continuing Victims of High Homicide Rates in Urban CommunitiesBy Gareth Davis and David Muhlhausen, Ph.D.

Despite a welcome decline in violent Crime rates nationwide, African-American males are still dying from criminal homicides at an alarming rate. According to statistics from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), violent Crime in the United States has fallen since 1991.1 Politicians of both parties have hailed the news of this recent decline, but violent Crime rates remain unacceptably high and continue to be well above levels experienced before the 1960s.2
To measure the extent of the progress that has been made in the fight against violent Crime over the past decade, and to get some perspective on the progress that must still be made, Heritage Foundation analysts examined the data for one of America’s most vulnerable groups–young African-American males who reside in eight of the nation’s largest urban communities. The jurisdictions examined were Baltimore, Maryland; Brooklyn, New York; Chicago, Illinois; Detroit, Michigan; Los Angeles, California; New Orleans, Louisiana; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Washington, D.C.3
The analysis of 1991 and 1997 homicide data from these communities finds that, despite some progress, urban black males continue to face a high risk of dying from homicide, even after accounting for the recent fall in homicide rates.4 Based on 1998 data for the eight communities studied,5 a 15-year-old urban African-American male faces a probability of being murdered before reaching his 45th birthday that ranges from almost 8.5 percent in the District of Columbia to just under 2.0 percent in Brooklyn, New York. By comparison, the probability of being murdered by age 45 is 2.21 percent nationally for all U.S. black males and 0.29 percent for all white males.6
A Ray of Hope
Despite these grim findings, there are encouraging results from the analysis as well. Between 1991 and 1998, African-American males in all of the jurisdictions the Heritage staff analyzed, apart from Baltimore, experienced a drop in the risk that they would be murdered. The most spectacular decrease occurred in Brooklyn, New York, where the risk of death by homicide for black males in 1998 declined by more than two-thirds from the risk in 1991. Over the same period, African-American males in Los Angeles County experienced a 50 percent decline in the risk of homicide.
The widely uneven pace of the decline in murder rates in Brooklyn, Los Angeles County, and other cities strongly suggests that city- and county-specific factors, such as criminal justice and policing policies, may play a key role in driving down Crime rates. For example, during the mid-1990s, Mayor Rudolph Giuliani and Police Commissioner William Bratton implemented sweeping managerial reforms in the New York City Police Department.7 Based on the empirical evidence over time, it would be possible for policy analysts to examine the role that these relatively new policies may have played in the faster-than-average decline in Brooklyn’s murder rate.
Measuring the Probability of Homicide
Analysts in The Heritage Foundation’s Center for Data Analysis (CDA) used data on homicide deaths from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to examine the continuing impact of high murder rates on urban minority communities during the 1990s.
To begin measuring the human impact of homicide within these communities, the Heritage analysts calculated the average probability that a 15-year-old black male would be murdered before reaching his 45th birthday in the eight above-listed urban counties with large African-American populations.
Despite the recent reductions in Crime rates across the nation, African-American males in each of these eight urban areas continue to face an extremely high probability of being killed before they reach middle age. (See Chart 1.) For example:
Based on 1998 murder rates, approximately one in every 12 black 15-year-old males who live in Washington, D.C., can expect to be murdered before reaching age 45.
For Brooklyn, the major urban community with the lowest 1998 homicide rates for young black males, roughly one in every 53 black 15-year-old males will die from homicide before reaching their 45th birthday.
By contrast, based on the 1998 murder rates, the average 15-year-old U.S. male faces a very low one-in-185 probability of being murdered before reaching age 45. Nationally, a similarly aged black male faces an average probability of one in 45 that he will die from homicide before reaching age 45. An average white male faces a one-in-345 probability of being murdered before reaching age 45.

In 1900, the Negro population, according to the U.S. Census, was 8,833,994, and 87% still lived in the South. The total urban black population was 11%. Life expectancy for the Negro was only 34 years. Of further note, black males in America by 1900 still had yet to create an urban center independent of the white males; nor had they establish a single industry – created by and run by Negroes – in any part of the country.
In 1820, the American population (i.e. white people) was approx. 8.5 million , the approximate size of the Negro population in 1900. American males had already by then built 61 cities (2000 or more inhabitants).

In 1960, the American Negro population has reached almost 19 million. NEVER in human history had a single society experienced such economic prosperity then America did during the 1950s. As of 1960:

Where are all the Negro built cities? Where is one Negro industry created over the previous 95 years? Why isn’t the Negro supplying occupations to his own male group members? Where is he taking the initiative to build urban housing for his people? All of this is of vital importance if the black race is not to become dependent on of the white race (i.e. white males must employ them, house them and feed them). In other words, in order to live in urban centers, an occupational ranking system must exist. In order to have an occupational ranking system, jobs – industries – must be created by the people (specifically the male group). Blacks have, by 1960, failed as a people in creating an occupational ranking environment, which would generate jobs and a tax base for their people. This failing is undoubtedly a major contributor to the urban black male crime rates represented below.
Isn’t it time for Jesse to organize a protest or something? I mean, what the hell else does he do (other than not pay child support)?

Chicago, IL—They are calling them “Wildings”, the latest fad for idle young Blacks. They use texting and social networks to form large groups to take control of stores, businesses and now beaches. The plan is simple, to rob, beat and molest as many non-Blacks as they can.
Police resources are very slim and the thugs have easy and cheap transportation to the areas they have victimized. Make no mistake these are serious and violent hate crimes. Intended victims are justified in using deadly force to end attacks involving multiple offenders.
White Chicagoans should stay away from the Gold Coast, beaches, or other entertainment spots for the entire summer. The police can’t do much but write reports after the violence.
The news media and city officials are in a conspiracy of silence about this perhaps to avoid the fiscal ramifications a boycott would bring. They laughably shut the two most popular beaches claiming the heat injuries made them too dangerous. Nobody’s buying that propaganda. It was the African-American Wilding that made the beaches dangerous. Now the media has been forced to begin letting the truth escape the embargo.
The only real protection is provided by bad weather. The thugs don’t operate so well in the cold, wind and rain. If the weather’s nice take a trip to Lake Geneva, WI or perhaps, Ottawa, Illinois because these areas are generally safe. Skip the near North discos and such.
If you must work or live near the Gold Cost by all means arm yourself. That’s no different than wearing a seatbelt when you drive. If you have to, shoot and then scoot to a criminal lawyer. Skip calling 911 and a barrage of questions you should never answer. If they catch up to you say only four words, “I want a lawyer.”
The social problems created by Chicago’s reckless politicians that taxed industry and needed jobs out of Chicago and Illinois cannot be cured. Taxpayers will vote with their feet until freedom and liberty is returned or the Socialists build walls to keep them enslaved.

The rate of violent crime in Chicago was almost double the rates for both New York City and Los Angeles, according to the Reporter’s analysis.
On May 24, 2010, the FBI released its preliminary annual uniform crime report for 2009. The report includes preliminary crime figures for more than 270 cities with a population of 100,000 or more. The Reporter analyzed the murder and violent crime statistics for those cities. Murder, rape, robbery, aggravated assault and aggravated battery are considered violent crimes.
Chicago’s murder rate, slightly more than 16 murders per 100,000 residents, ranked 30th, and its rate of violent crime–about 1,125 incidents per 100,000 residents–ranked 27th. However, among the nation’s 10 largest cities, each with a population of one million or more, only Philadelphia had higher rates of murder and violent crime than Chicago. Furthermore, the FBI’s violent crime total for Chicago did not include any of the city’s 1,443 incidents of criminal sexual assault, which is a broader classification than the FBI’s forcible rape category. Including just 700 of those crimes would bump Chicago to 24th on the list for violent crime rate.

With a rate of 2,070 violent crime incidents per 100,000 residents, St. Louis ranked as the nation’s most violent city. St. Louis, Detroit, Baltimore, and Flint, Mich. were the only cities among the nation’s top 10 for both murder rate and violent crime rate. 5 Reasons Black Americans Should Give Up On The Democratic Party
1) Black Americans have been voting for the Democrats en masse for almost 40 years. What do they have to show for it economically? Here’s what they have to show for it: In 2009, the average net worth for white households was $113,149 and $5,700 for black households. Great job, Democratic Party!
It’s truly bizarre to hear Maxine Waters, Andre Carson, Jesse Jackson and other assorted Democratic “leaders” blaming Republicans or even more improbably, Tea Partiers, because black Americans are having a tough time. In every single place in the country where black Americans are a decisive factor in selecting the politicians in charge, Democrats are running the show. How do you look at decimated cities where Democrats have had control of every lever of power for 40 years and conclude, “Republicans are the problem?”
2) As long as black Americans vote monolithically for the Democratic Party, they will always be treated like dirt. There’s never any question which party black Americans are voting for. The only real question is turnout. This leads to the Democratic Party treating black voters as an afterthought. Yes, politicians show up to a black church on the Sunday before an election or toss a little largesse towards Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton, but they could give a damn about the average black American because there’s no reason for them to care. The only thing any Democrat has to do is claim that his opponent is a racist and he’s got 90 percent of the black vote locked up. On the other hand, Republicans have absolutely no reason to pursue black voters because no matter what they do, they believe they’re going to be branded as racist, and their opponents will collect 90% of the black vote. Until black Americans start giving some indications that their votes are up for grabs, they will continue to be ignored by both parties.
3) Black Americans are thriving in today’s Republican Party. Whatever you may think of the job that Barack Obama has done as President, it is still unquestionably a big deal for America to have its first black President. That being said, the GOP hasn’t been standing still in that department either. Michael Steele was the first black Republican National Committee chairman. Tim Scott and Allen West were both elected to Congress, in majority white districts, last year. West is so popular that he was the keynote speaker at CPAC, the biggest conservative conference of the year. Their election came on the heels of George W. Bush appointing the first AND second black Secretary of State, Colin Powell and Condi Rice. Walter Williams is a fill-in host for the most popular conservative talk radio host in America, Rush Limbaugh. Thomas Sowell was voted the single most liked conservative in America in 2010 AND 2011 by conservative bloggers. Incidentally, second place in 2011 was Allen West. If the question is, “Can black Americans get the respect they deserve in the Republican Party today?” the significant number of black conservatives making an impact seems to suggest the answer is, “Yes, they can!”
4) Black Americans are not as liberal as their voting records seem to show. Many black Americans actually see eye-to-eye with Republicans on many social issues including abortion, gay marriage, and being friendly to Christianity. Many black Americans also agree with the conservative stance on illegal immigration, school choice, being tough on crime, and supporting entrepreneurs — and no wonder. For a lot of black Americans, a vote for the Democratic Party is a vote to lose their job to an illegal alien, trap their kids in a lousy school, and get criminals released back into their neighborhood.
Even someone like Louis Farrakhan, who has campaigned for numerous Democrats over the years, is in favor of corporal punishment, building small businesses, and he believes that welfare is a trap that keeps black Americans mired in poverty. Incidentally — it is.
When black Americans stop buying the phony baloney “He’s a racist” line that Democrats peddle in every election and start genuinely considering Republican candidates on the issues, suddenly both parties will start giving black Americans the attention they deserve.
5) What has the Democratic Party’s “help” over the last 40 years achieved for black Americans? The Democratic Party’s line is that black Americans need their “help” to get by in a racist world. Here’s an alternate theory: Buying into the Democratic Party’s philosophy and accepting “help” has been one of the biggest reasons that black Americans lag behind white Americans. Black males are 6 times as likely to be in prison as white males and black Americans make up 49% of the homicide victims in America. 71.6% of all black Americans are born out of wedlock and black Americans are almost twice as likely to drop out of high school as white Americans, both of which help explain why the black poverty rate is almost 2 1/2 times the white poverty rate.
Would voting for the Republican Party make all of those problems go away overnight? No. But, not only has the Democratic Party failed to deal with those issues in a meaningful way, it has exacerbated the problems with its policies. After 40 years of disastrous Democratic Party “help,” maybe it’s time for black Americans to give the Republican Party a crack at it.
