Obama Campaign Says It Fears Romney “Smear Machine”…
Something amazingly ironic about Chicago-based politicians whining about a “smear machine.”

The Obama-Biden reelection campaign, which just announced it banked $224 million in 2011, is stepping up fundraising as it steels for an expected fall “smear” machine from GOP front-runner Mitt Romney.
In an email to supporters this morning, Obama campaign manager Jim Messina warned that the Republicans will have a fat bank account to tap for negative ads, something both Romney and Newt Gingrich did in Florida.
“They’re going to try to spend and smear their way to the White House,” Messina said about Republican groups and candidates.

Smear- in this case, defined as relating actual facts about the mismanagement and incompetence displayed by the empty suit infesting the white house currently.

Well, they should be afraid, that the Republicans are going to highlight Obama’s “accomplishments” as well as his promises that he tossed under the bus when they became inconvenient for him to fulfill…. All the Repubs have to do is use Obama’s own speeches/words, that’s all it will take….

Yah, I’m sure they’re terrified. Simply posturing and positioning so they can unleash the billion dollar smear campaign on whomever winds up the nominee for Republicans.
Call it smear or whatever, but to date, the Republicans have not hardly challenged any of the Democrat/media lies of the past 11 years.
Bush and Macain tried to take the high road and it gave us obama. Hillary was smeary, but obama obviously cut a deal with her to back away.
I hope Romney does the vetting that obama should have gotten when he first entered politics.

If voters would simply take 30 minutes to research the candidates on their own instead of relying on the media to tell them who’s best, this would not make a lick of difference…but they continue to refuse to do so.

It will be a smear campaign. Romney will quote Obama accurately and in context, and point out the failure of his policies and programs. Obama’s problem won’t be that Romney will smear him; it’s that his own record smears him.
